  1. most of the movie theatre laughed at this scene I got soooooooo pissed. I mean...I like Led Zep and all, but there is no-way/no-how that ANYBODY on the planet that could get an AC/DC song wrong! Especially THAT one.
  2. And some Bon Scott
  3. Ahhhhhhhhh ? Unmistakably AC/DC. That bluesy rock that they familiarly do. Never gets old. Music to my ears!
  4. At the rear of the Notre Dame Basilica And the Aldred Building which adds to the charm of Montreal's skyline. Montreal will probably never have the tall skyscrapers other major cities of the world get to have, but we do have a charming skyline regardless. And part of the reason why skyscrapers will never be a thing in Montreal, (nothing to do with economy either...well a little bit...) but because there is a strict by-law that forbids ANY building being taller than Mont-Royal. The mountain that sits in the middle of the island that Montreal gets its name from. View FROM the mountain The two classical post-card views FROM the mountain And the majestic mountain FROM Saint Lawrence river. Mount Royal in English. Mont Royal in French. Mont/real This is how Jacques Cartier came to name the mountain. Hochelaga is the name of this area when it was a Native American settlement. It became Ville-Marie when the French settlers decided to settle here after 100 years after Jacques Cartier's arrival. Later becoming Mont/real. The name of the mountain. That little island is called Ile Sainte Helene. A small island on the river seaway.
  5. On the other side of the Notre-Dame Basilica. The square is called Place D'Armes And the statue Maisonneuve At the base there are other statues. And the Bank of Montreal
  6. This scenery really speaks to me. And...its 'Winnipeg'. Double 'n' ? Love the pics!
  7. Maybe you'll think Im crazy, but besides the wedge shape and the Countach being lower to the ground, the Countach, seems to me at least, to be taking some took cues from a Charger. The side stylings and certain lines of the Lambo are more pronounced and more dramatic, but I could see a slight influence there. I came to this conclusion when I saw a video from a stupid (young...in his 20s) youtuber claiming to never see your idols in person. (He was referencing human idols such as a popstar of some sort or athlete to a car). In this case, he was disappointed with the Countach because as he stated, he was expecting to see a car with lots of curves and all he saw was just a weird shaped with lots of straight lines and not one hint of a curve anywhere on the car. Well...he is right about that. That the Lambo has no swoopy curves. Its all wedges. But you dont need to see that in person. You could see that from a photograph. I started analyzing the design language of the Lambo when I realized how similar the lines are to the Charger. Its only perception tho. I could be waaaay off. (I dont think so...)
  8. HOLY PHOQUE, DREW!!! The damage done looks like the fire was intense... The way you described it, had you not done what you done, it seems to me the whole house would have been destroyed in 15 minutes. I dont know you or Albert, but man I feel your pain and Im glad you guys (and your home) are alright! Lets all keep safe and healthy and let us put 2020 in the rear view mirror! Happy 2021 everyone!

  10. On loop A week late...but as the lyrics go... Here's hoping that 2021 will be better. At least by the time 2022 rolls along... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
  11. Dream Car Garage 1994 for me as it were back in the day. In order of want starting at the top
  12. YESSSSS!!!! 2 WEEKS!!!! Im just afraid of all the Covid cases that we will be undoubtedly hearing about. The NBA and NHL had PURE bubbles in the playoffs. This time around... Good luck to all the athletes, trainers, managers TV crew etc... involved.
  13. Bad choice of words in the first part of the sentence I used. I did say he wasnt re-signed later. The thing is, his contract was up at the end of the 2019-2020 season. All season long, the Bruins played coy with him as the upper management always hinted at the media that Chara would be coming back for 2020-2021. During the last couple of months, Chara stated that Bruins management kinda ghosted him when him and his agent wanted to talk about re-signing. Kinda shytty if you ask me about a guy giving you 14 years of loyal, broken jaw performances WITH 3 Stanley Cup finals, 1 Stanley Cup that ended a 40 year drought. Id say that the Bruins management should have been a tad more classier in handling his situation both for him and for the fans. He says "recently" the Boston Bruins have informed him... The season ended at the end of September. That is 3 months of false hope for Chara and for the fans. Remember, the new season starts in less than a month. In 2 weeks to be exact... The drafts and the trading for drafts happened 2 months ago... Bruins management with Chara behaved like the Canadiens management with their superstars. (One reason why I am not a Canadiens fan...) His tweet:
  14. Well...a 1970s V8 (and prior years) was not a thrifty affair in ANY displacement. While an Olds 350 is a damn fine engine, an Olds 455 is a mighty one. Despite being choked up with catalytics, those 455s (from Pontiac and Buick too) still had healthy torque figures to melt the tires. Therefore, if I was a 47 year old restauranteur in the mid 1970s (as I am now in 2020), I think I would have had a version of that Cutlass (Hurst or 442 or Supreme) with a 455 lugging my family around. I would have tried to buy a Trans Am with a 455 as well as my "me" car.
  15. Well...I did not expect the Bruins to cut him like they did. Im not surprised by them not re-signing him. I am however surprised that they werent up front to him about it. At the end of last season, at the end of their playoff run, they should have been honest to him and the fans about their intentions. They misled him and the fans by suggesting he will be back for another season... All things said, I cant wait to see the C on Bergeron's jersey! He was a great captain. The Capitals should be able to use his calm, intimidating demeanor on the ice. I do hope Ovi breaks Gretzky's goal record. Its going to be tough for him to do so. 2 lockouts, 2 shortened Covid seasons. He would have had AT LEAST 55 goals this year instead of the 48 he got. This year is a 52 game season? Well...I hope he gets 50 goals in 50 games then! Well...I hope he could get that in LESS than 50 games. Interesting year up ahead... The Senators and Canadiens look (on paper) to have fortified their chances in going deep in the playoffs. The Caps, despite getting Chara (awesome presence on the ice but BECAUSE they got Chara) and the goal scoring freak in Ovi, have gotten older. The NHL lately has become a young league. Yeah...like you said, interesting to see those Bruins/Caps games!
  16. Ribeye Steak! (Mmmmmmmm delicious!)
  17. I like this car despite this car being a Toyoter I dont have an issue with the horsepower and torque figures for this car Despite what I said above, Id rather any V8 versions of the Challenger and Mustang. Actually, Id rather any versions of a V8 Challenger and Mustang over ANY 2 door sport coupe available on the market today... I almost forgot, a C8 Corvette is sweet too. A shout out to it is necessary. Id seriously consider a C8 as well.
  18. End of an era Thank-you Big Z for your loyal services

  20. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-narrowly-misses-goal-of-100000-electric-vehicles-on-the-road-1.5856007 Since the Quebec government's big push of promoting EVs in 2012, 92 000 new EVs have been sold. The target was 100 000. Narrowly missing the target. Still a success though and more and more Quebecois are accepting an all EV future. And a little tidbit of info and concerns for EVs from a Quebec perspective. Same ones we have been discussing here at CheersandGears.
  21. tzatziki
