  1. Really? Maybe your liberal schooling ( ) wasn't clear on how to separate discussion points? Like as in having the Cherokee and Mustang in the same sentence is a direct comparison. Class dismissed.
  2. Spin away. ( I think this has to be a first - someone comparing Mustang sales to a CUV ) And now you want to discuss Fusion Sales vs a CUV?
  3. No Stew Mustang was not down " at least that much ". 19% is nowhere near close to 34%...
  4. Those are some larger downers for FCA divisions. Even Jeep down 6%? Only brand not down was Ram Trucks.
  5. Such a refreshing comment to read.
  6. You guys are hilarious. Everyone gets a ribbon...retake the exam until you pass...no score kept in primary sports... Then these little snowflakes get into the real world and find out that there are winners, there are losers. Best was Brexit - the " losers " wanted a rdo over, followed by Trump - Clinton supporters rioted.
  7. Ford Motor Co. says it is dropping its plan to build a $1.6-billion US plant in Mexico, a plan criticized by Donald Trump during last year's presidential primary campaign. Ford also announced it plans to invest about $700 million in a Michigan factory that will build high-tech autonomous and electric vehicles. The company said it will add 700 direct new jobs at its Flat Rock (Michigan) Assembly Plant, which will build a small sport utility vehicle with extended battery range, a fully autonomous vehicle for ride-hailing or ride-sharing, and the Ford Mustang and Lincoln Continental.\ Link
  8. Really? So did the 1917 Liberty V-12. And before that, Renault has varying success with Turbos
  9. Raptor has auto stop/start. The GT may or may not. Gen 2 EB 3.5TT is both DI and Port Injection. Ford has the only Turbo-6s with both of those technologies...ouch is right. Of the two, I prefer the Edge 2.0T. And that was the less advanced 2015's. Still looking to test 2017's and specifically the 2.7TT Sport.
  10. your words... " roughly equal to the most advanced 3.6TT today " I cited 2 examples of TT V-6's that are more than what GM has..ouch... Now you're saying something about " specifically limiting this to vehicles that can conceivably be considered average family vehicle " in a thread about a 6.2L DOHC that will definitely not be in ANY family sedan, but will likely be in a Mid Engine Supercar?
  11. I didn't insist anything. I showed some fallacies in your comment. You said " brand/mfg specific ", therefore I left as is. If you like, I can play your petty little game Drew...
  12. " The 6.2 Pushrod is roughly equal to the most advanced 3.6TT today. Now add DOHC to it.... it's going to blow the 3.6TT out of the water " I'm sure you have proof, right? As it stands right now, the Raptor 3.5TT tune HP is equivalent to a 6.2 OHV, yet it's torque is superior ( peak and RPM range )... Then there is the Ford GT 3.5TT... And your 6.2 DOHC " blow out of the water " is pure speculation at this point. ( see the MB M 156 and M159 engines for a measuring stick ).
  13. Peak figures may be close. But the torque below peak in the 2.0T is superior to that Northstar, throttle opening vs throttle opening.
  14. You forgot that easy huh? Proof was posted plenty of times on the SPECIAL EDITION Z/28 having rebates of 25k. I find it funny you compare a pedestrian Mustang to the track monster Z/28. That illogic is the best Christmas present one could ever receive And you opened this can of " incentives " - the route was already paved thanks to you.
  15. Dealership discounts vs Manufactures? That Z/28 I refer to was factory incentives. LMAO! Keep reaching surreal
  16. Don't be sorry. It was/is GM that is sorry...sorry for believing they could sell the ZLI ( and Z/28 ) for the prices they were asking. I also cannot recall a car being discounted 1/3rd of its MSRP.
  17. OMG... 177 Day Supply of Camaro???? 121 of the Cruze. Makes sense for the layoffs at Lordstown ( Cruze ) and Lansing ( ATS/CTS and Camaro )
  18. When/ what is this time frame you're using? Here is 3/4yrs ago for fuel prices.... do you really think that short time ago, small cars where not " lucky " to get 30 mpg/hwy and CUV's in mid/low 20''s ( and now magically in the 30's? ) http://www.gasbuddy.com/Charts 2013/2014 - Mid Size car sales ( mainstream ) were pretty steady at that point. The ones that were tanking were the the FCA cars, and niche/never big volume movers ( VW, Subaru etc etc ) http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2014/06/usa-midsize-car-sales-figures-may-2014-ytd.html
  19. Without US - CDN $ conversion. I'm paying $1.19 a litre. ( 3.78 litre/US Gallon ). That's up .15 a litre since start of December. I read $ 2.21/gallon is average for US. That's up .04 compared to November 2016, and .20 vs a year ago Bent Crude is $55 a barrel, highest since mid 2015... This trend continues, and FCA will be in a world of hurt as they already are the least fuel efficient full line mfg. Ditching the Dart and 200 will bite them big.
  20. And though it isn't the mfg's site, here is the Challenger coming in at 110 cu.ft. https://www.edmunds.com/dodge/challenger/2016/features-specs.html?sub=coupe&style= Both the Focus and Sonic ring in at 90 cu.ft.
