  1. As long as it has no effect on the military's version, which it looks like it doesn't, I'm cool with this. Not that I'd ever consider buying a Hummer again with them being Chinese in the future.
  2. I just saw an orange colored Pontiac G5 driving in Maine. It's not a bad looking car at all, looks a lot different than most other Pontiacs you see. I didn't think it was even out yet, but there it was nonetheless.
  3. That article hits you where it hurts, these are the people whose opinions matter. They are honrable, wise people who know what it means to be American and what an American auto-company should represent. And, they're right. Agree with it or not, the Japanese and especially the French should not get any type of foothold in the American auto-industry. It's sad to think that in 20 years no company is going to be owned by Americans, the Japanese are buying everything. People don't see the harm, but when there are no more American CEOs in the United States we will see the harm. They already started buying US highways, that's right, highways the WE THE TAXPAYERS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA paid for to be built. It's a tough situation, the retirees need to be heard, they built GM and I think they should have some say as to what direction it heads in right now.
  4. Come on, Prius and Yaris? Id say the definitley belong on that list. I wouldn't be caught dead in either of those...
  5. That third strike was so unnecessary haha he just tried to make his article flow better so he had to make up a third strike not to look like an idiot. At least for the most part he was positive about it...
  6. Very sad to hear, hopefully this doesnt foreshadow Buick's future.
  7. I love the front end except for the racks, I just don't like the bumps over the rear tires, makes it kind of look like it has side steps. The bed just looks kind of small for some reason.
  8. They still make the buick century? They only sold three...
  9. That's what I like to hear! Is this the first time any magazine has pitted the two against one another? It seems like all of my Ford fan friends like to say "Oh, well the shelby Mustang would smoke a Corvette, it has 500 HP." Please, I'd like to see how bad a z06 would smoke it too.
  10. They definitley do, especially in America. One of the big reasons John Deer and other domestic construction companies sell much more than the foreign ones is because they make the seats big and comfortable with easy to pull knobs/levers, I mean seriously, when you think of American construction workers what do you think of? A fat lazy guy with the ass crack hanging out, of course. You need to direct your interior towards what type of people you expect to buy the car, one of the reasons I love GM is because their seats are made for American people and are really comfortable. I would never buy a Toyota because their seats are sooo thin and uncomfortable, plus they try to make the interior look futuristic, but that actually just takes away from the comfort level because it's all cheap molded plastic and other hard uninviting materials.
  11. Great article, the video underneath it of them driving the concept is even better.
  12. What car did they use last year? For this year I picked the G5 because they probably want it to be advertised considering it's brand new, although I probably couldn't see Don Trump riding in a G5.
  13. That would be great because of the gas mileage, plus maybe it will attract a certain crowd because if my knowledge serves me right there are no other companies producing diesel cars in the US. As for diesel in Camaro, no friggin way, it won't reach high enough RPMs for any performance enthusiast.
  14. I agree that styling is without a doubt key in selling this car. It seems that more Americans are attracted to the styling of a car more than anything else, a good looking car is respectable in society. I can't count how many times I've heard people see a sharp, or just clean for that matter, car and say "Oh, those Mazdas are great cars." If your car stands out people suddenly have an attraction to that brand. It's amazing how much the styling of a car can affect how it sells, I agree with Bob Lutz with his statement "design, design, design," GM get to the drawing board and make this happen!
  15. I do like this model, but the grill needs to be changed. It reminds me of a Mitsubishi Lancer evo or Galant too much.
  16. Thanks man, love it. I'm looking forward to being a member of this exclusive club lol
  17. They might say that, or they could say "the reason the quality in toyota vehicles has fallen is because many are now made in the United States, so the lazy american workers have almost lowered the quality of toyota vehicles to the same level as GM and Ford" They could come up with a million excuses and it's really sad.
  18. Agreed. The black one looks wayyy too import for my tastes.
  19. Old person car to the max. I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those things. I seriously think Toyota has taken over as being the old persons car of America.
  20. I agree with you about Cobalt over Yaris, and definitley agree that a Cobalt must be more comfortable. Toyota makes the must uncomfortable cars I've ever ridden in, even the leather is thin and not padded enough. GM makes cars for American people, big plush leather and perfect size.
  21. Awesome commercial, keeping the heritage in the spotlight. I like how you don't see one car for too long, so it might spark peoples interest to go online and find out what the car was that they saw. Great use of adveritising GM
  22. Is there a slogan for the club?
  23. Count me in dudes... Thanks
  24. There is one car I can think of that has heritage that an Asian company could bring back, the Toyota Supra. I hate Toyota don't get me wrong, but there were and still are a lot of Supra fans out there, even from the 80s. I think retro is a go-go if it is completed right and it definitley takes a special type of personality to want a retro styled car. A lot of the younger generations are used to sleek, quick handling foreign cars and don't really have a sense of respect for muscle cars. The muscle cars that are being brought back should be aimed at people about 35 years of age and up for two reasons: 1. they are the only people who can really afford them 2. the older generations have experienced american muscle and have a certain respect for an older bodied car. Some people might ask "why drive a dodge Charger when the cars nowadays are quicker, handle 10x better, brake shorter distances, have more luxuries like automatic electronics, and are way more reliable?" That type of person will not be buying a new Dodge Challenger or Camaro, although I think sometimes it takes the experience of driving a muscle car for those foreign-car lovers to change sides. I love the concept Challenger (not more than Camaro, don't worry) because it looks almost like a replica of the original car. A muscle car really is not about aerodynamics, it's not about luxuries, and it's not about handling, it's all about the power and muscle hence the name "muscle car." There is no replacement for displacement and I think the Challenger personifies that, screw handling and quickness, just give me that naturally aspirated big block v8 and I'm happy. Anyone who is a fan of American muscle should have no problem with either Challenger nor Camaro, unfortunately most of the muscle car lovers of the 60s and 70s are in their 40s and 50s and most of the younger generation is used to the foreign influence. If they wanted a sleeker vehicle that has handling and aerodynamics I think they should create a new name for the vehicle and leave the heritage alone, do not mess with the original formula for making a muscle car. The Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger all follow the formula and muscle car fans out their should have the car of their dreams back in their hands.
