soundgarden an STP were not grunge... pearl jam kinda was... but no so much as nirvana... which i hate... nirvana is the worst... hair metal is good... but anyone into the darker side of metal? ya know... the bands that took the Black Sabbath route as opposed to the Led Zeppelin approach? Motorhead is probably my favorite band of all time... they still sound the same 31 years later... and its just straight ahead balls out metal Judas Priest... AMAZING. end of story Iron Maiden... not quite Priest... but still great early Metallica... anything up to and including the Black Album... before they changed their sound

i will say this once more... and this will be the last time i say it... Skid Row... is not, was not, will never be... hair metal... they were similar to Guns N Roses in sound AND image... they did not wear spandex and makeup... nor did they constantly sing about strippers and drugs... thank you on another note... only two hair bands count... Motley Crue (pretty much started it all) Twisted Sister (if Dee Snider doesnt scare the crap out of you... noone will) as far as weak hair bands... there are three that come to mind... Poison Ratt Nelson Poison was far overrated... little more than an efeminate Motley Crue... Ratt sucked because they were only famous cuz they had Milton Berle in those two videos... the music was garbage Nelson... twins with straight blonde hair+guitars they cant really play= Hair Metal's Boy Band... enough said

the convertibles are better looking... ill give you that... but theres still something thats just weird about them... they just look out of proportion for whatever reason... i think it may be the way the hood slopes down yet the sides dont... and the way the rear has no lines on it... and then theres always the part where it doesnt look like this:

ive seen the trans am before... that one and the one NOS did are my favorite camaro based trans ams ive seen so far... the cougars alright i guess... i was never a real big fan tho... maybe someone who likes them more woul like it better... the cuda... eh... boring... so much of the same... but look at that text... a Chrylser 'Cuda? are they serious? mopar fans would be screaming bloody murder for years about that haha

i cant say im surprised... but then again i didnt expect it to win in the 1/4 mile... so that portion made me happy... man i bet this will finally knock the mustang crowd down a few pegs... one thing i dont understand... is why these where even compare in the first place... sure the GT500 has 100 more hp... but the vette is in a totally different league... you cant pit the ferrari killer against a straight line runner... its not fair to the poor stang... and you people who were talking about the mustang GT not really having the powerband to backup the 300 hp... i beleive you... my car keeps up with those far too easily for that 300 to be any more than a lofty claim... im not saying ive beaten them... but i can keep up

its gunna be a corvette for me... i know porsches are great cars but they seem oddly proportioned to me... i just dont find them all that attractive... it oesnt hurt that ive dreamt of owning a corvette since i was 9... nearly 9 years of obsession will outweigh anything... lol as i think about it... if i had a spare 51k laying around... id find a 69 L88 and get that instead... id probably wind up with an extra 25-30k left over... and i have a badass 427 under the hood with around 450 horsepower (thats SAE net... in gross horsepower its up around 580 something...) not to mention one of the sexiest cars ever to roll out of detroit... so thats where my money would go...

hmm... my grandpas 1953 datsun convertible (i will have pics of this soon) theres a gas station near my house that has a whole slew of cars... 1974 trans am 1968 skylark another skylark... i think 1970ish a chevy nova a 1986 Grand National a 1950s taxi 2 other 1940s/50s cars and my favorite... a 1968 corvette L71 also... the guy across the street from me has a chevy nova... and theres a guy near my dads work that is in the process of restoring his 1970 chevelle ss 454
