I had a gas station, a couple businesses, a number of homes, etc. ... and I would play for HOURS. I think I still have all of my buildings packed away somewhere.... he he. 6. Heh ... interesting about that Caddy. Funny thing is ... a couple weekends ago, I was out driving and spotted one of 'em. As I came up behind it, I originally thought it was a Cavalier. But, then, I got up closer ... and sure enough, it had the Caddy name and badging. Got up along side it to turn right ... and was surprised ... it was in decent shape.... But, doesn't GM do a good bit of that ... by using older nameplates on new cars that are no where near what the originals were? The Malibu, Monte Carlo and Impala come to mind, particularly by way of taking the Celebrity, replacing it with the Lumina but allowing people to believe it replaced the MC since the Lumina was used in NASCAR ... and then naming the 1995 Lumina coupe "monte carlo" and the 2000 Lumina sedan "impala".... According to the book _Chevrolet: The Complete History_ [copyright 1996 by Publications International LTD], on page 348: "With the new Lumina coupe and sedan effectively replacing their Celebrity counterparts...." And, on page 359: "Taking the place of the aging Celebrity sedan was the Lumina sedan ... a coupe version followed in the fall." Also, the Lumina shared types (Eurosport), dashboards (flat/horizontal), tail lights (3 square on each side, across the back panel, more or less) and FWD with the Celebrity..... In addition ... the Monte Carlo was the only one of the cousin names (Buick Regal, Olds Cutlass Supreme, Pontiac Grand Prix) to NOT be slapped on a FWD car IMMEDIATELY after the RWD versions ended in 1987/1988. *shrugs* Heh ... interesting stuff there. 13. Oh ... my goodness. 1982 Monte Carlo SC ... turned ... well, turned interesting. 17. Quick follow up to this thread since radio is "near and dear" to me: Small town/local radio stations GET the idea of variety...new AND old. During my recent quick road trip back'n'forth to St Louis MO, I forgot to take some CDs for the drive down ... and, of course, had to listen to the radio. If I rent, like I did that weekend (had a Dodge Charger), I usually take a few CDs ... just in case. Listening to the radio back'n'forth to STL wasn't ALL bad, though it became quite obvious how "cookie cutter" some radio stations are. However ... as I've experienced during my road trips over the years ... radio stations that serve a small area or city/town KNOW how to play variety AND the songs you don't hear much anymore. I heard some awesome songs (both rock and country) that I have not heard in a LONG time. Now ... just imagine if ALL radio stations GOT it...!? 19. Amen. Many people are suffering for many different reasons ... and sometimes...all we can do is pray for 'em.... Sorry I didn't get back sooner. After my STL trip the weekend of March 14, I was way too tired to start catching up. Still am, somewhat, so not quite sure what that is about.... Anyway ... back to the "medical procedure" ... according to the surgeon, my incisional hernia isn't a big deal...thank goodness, I think.... Before that appointment, I read online that hernias can lead to bigger internal issues...so, given all my wonderful "medical procedure" history, I was a bit "concerned" ... and don't want the hernia to force me to have other surgeries. But, the surgeon doesn't believe the hole is big enough to cause such damage and believes that surgery isn't warranted at this time.... So, for now, I'm not having the surgery done. I may change my mind or plan to have it done later this year ... we'll see. The pain the last time (when it lasted over an hour) was not kind ... and scared the crap out of me.... If it "attacks" me again, at least I know what it is ... and have some techniques to make it stop quicker than it did the last time.... *shrugs* While I certainly appreciate the thoughts/prayers, I am sorry I mentioned this because, as I noted above, I know many others have more issues than "just a hernia". Last time I had a medical issue, I didn't say a word until the medical procedure was over ... and then people were concerned that I hadn't told anyone. So, I feel kinda foolish for this thread; hindsite 20/20, I probably should've kept my mouth shut until AFTER the appointment with the surgeon.... *rolls eyes* Cort | 35swm | "Mr Monte Carlo"."Mr Road Trip" | pig valve.pacemaker ...Chitown #2 = 07/25/09 WRMNshowcase.legos.HO.models.MCs.RTs.CHD = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort "I'd try to run, but I don't think I can" ...
