  1. They've had terrible luck with the last three Dodge vehicles they bought. They were actually going to go for a Grand Cherokee, but the dealer lied to them on the monthly payment over the phone. When they came in, the dealer told my parents that the actual monthly payment would be some $75 more than what they were originally told. They said screw it and went with the Buick.I'm not sure why the Rendezvous, but it probably is because of the price. Who cares though, they love it so far.
  2. It did feel a bit peppy...
  3. Well, it's been awhile since I've posted anything... And I'm sorry to say this, but... Actually, I'm not sorry at all. My mom's getting rid of her '05 Durango because Friday we went and picked her up a 2007 Rendezvous! If you haven't been keeping tally, let me clarify the impact this makes: my dad was looking for a new vehicle a year or two ago and I convinced him to pick up an '05 Grand Prix instead of a Stratus Coupe. Then, I went and bought myself a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged. And, on top of that, my mom just leased out this '07 Rendezvous. Three cars in our driveway, one from '05, '06, and '07 and all of them are GMs. I finally convinced my parents to get an all-GM lineup in their driveway! Now, I've got one more thing to focus on: my sister's going to get a new car soon, which will replace the Grand Prix. I'm pretty sure they're leaning toward a G5 or, if my sister has her way, a G6 Coupe... PS. So far my mom and dad absolutely love everything about the Rendezvous in comparison to the Durango they had.
  4. I'd like to see RS, SS, Z/28, ZL1.
  5. I hope that wasn't a serious question. Because I could give you a mean response.
  6. Honestly, they won't say "it has a B-pillar so I won't even look inside." You're battling a never-ending war of ignorance.
  7. Damn you, tequilla. I hate you, tequilla!
  8. Just to comment on the interior piece... GM is trying to lure people that buy other brands to buy GM vehicles. One of GM's lowpoints has been interiors for a good while. Import and other non-GM buyers will look at GM vehicles more once GM can prove their interiors to be much better. I don't think having a B-Pillar will make a non-GM buyer not want a Camaro. However, one hell of a nice interior may definitely make them think twice about putting money down at a Chevy dealership.
  9. Flint, MI. Very depressing.
  10. 75% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
  11. Yeah, the supercharged version might be ended, but watch for a more powerful, more efficient turbocharged variant. I've got five bucks to say it's going to blow the doors off the supercharged one.
  12. I'm not so sure you can say it's theoretical. Why would they choose to put in a B-Pillar simply because they think it might be better? They wouldn't. Only tests and analysis would give them the best answer. I highly doubt they're making guesses. The Mustang has a fixed B-Pillar. How many of those have you seen on the road and how many people think they are good looking vehicles? Obviously these people have bad taste. Times change, Uncle Rico. And it's not what we're told, it's what the companies building the cars are told because nobody is buying the things they build in the first place. When you are willing and able to afford a $60,000 V6 Camaro please let me know. Cost, along with some other variables, is what keeps these things in check, or else the Z06 would weigh 1000 more pounds and be a hell of a lot cheaper with a much worse engine. Who is laughing? There's a fine line between your standards and modern reality. In the end, this Camaro will be the best one ever and better than all of its competition. If a B-Pillar is going to hold you from buying one, you need to touch base with reality. And possibly see a doctor about pulling that stick out of your ass.
  13. I, for one, can tell you the interior (IP at least) looks fifty times better in person. Coloring and everything.
  14. Hmm, I was under the impression all the models were getting the leather IP. Either way, it looks great... You guys are going to drool.
  15. This is the MCE for Corvette, 2008. New LS3, revised interior, looks like new wheels, and maybe other goodies I don't know of. Any insiders want to offer a helping hand?
  16. Holy f***ing GORGEOUS inside and out. I love this thing's interior!
  17. A closer number to the RWHP at 650 HP would be 589.6 RWHP.And, as for the handling aspect, I've heard there are some pieces being upgraded. Plus, a couple hundred pounds of dropped weight is always beneficial in the twisties.
  18. 121 is my birthday.
  19. You are, too, Northie? Me fricking three! Where do ya attend school, Caddy?
  20. I read "focus group" and almost had to write Mr. Lutz. Then you said it's a limited number, all of which are, I assume, long-time Camaro enthusiasts, which is okay with me.
  21. Happy Birthday, fellas!
  22. Just redesign the thing already!

    So Bossy!

Sooo this is why I haven't been around much the last week or so: I've just started my Freshman II term here at Kettering University, which is also my Pledge term to become a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Not only do I have a busy academic schedule, but I've become very involved this term. I've got 3 hours in meetings for my Pledge class along with another hour or two of meetings for the actual fraternity. Along with that, I've got philanthropy/community service to complete along with projects in and around the DTD house. I'm an active member in the Residential Hall Association once again this term, along with being a participant in sports, working out, and being the President of my Pledge Class. I've also just applied to become a member of the Kettering Student Ambassador program, which is based around trying to recruit new students for the future. And, on top of this all, I've still got my regular schoolwork and ten hours of paid work here at the dorms (I'm living in the dorms during my Pledge term rather than at the DTD house). So, yeah, just an update on where I've been. Hope everybody's doing well!
