  1. Ya; it's a '60 Imperial with '59 caddy grille & bumper jammed up under the headlights. The original :
  2. Mash-up ::
  3. Could really use some 'headlight on' indicators. I hate driving with headlights on in the daytime, I click them off but until I'm behind another vehicle, I can't tell from inside the truck.
  4. (2) '60s Ford Econoline 'flat front' pick-ups, a heavily primered/ patch-painted example prominently parked up front at a local watering hole, and an orange job inside one o those storage lot places. '67 Coupe deVille, all primered, looking rough, looked like long-term parking in a weedy repair garage lot.
  5. I've never seen any 'MT' branded merchandise in any store...
  6. Snap-on has a very nice 24-some LED work light sold thru Costco (about $35)… but the reality is it's only licensed to use the SO name- it's made in China, not by SO (still; very good- I recommend it.)
  7. The incessant sniping here is KILLING this thread.
  8. Reminds me of the exposure that Mercedes under-reported their .cd numbers. They also underreport their incentive amounts. It's no doubt their DICs are biased also.
  9. I have lived at house numbers 13, 11, 211, 211 and 1100.
  10. Another glorious day at the swap meet; junk, garbage, rot & rust, just like I like to see.
  11. ^ it's got a wedgie. This is MUCH cooler
  12. I looked over the federal auto safety regs (started in '66) and there was nothing there about Chrysler's '65-66 glass headlight covers. I had thought they were outlawed, but perhaps there were condensation issues that caused ChryCo to stop using them; they were sharp. '65 300-L, '65-66 Imperial. - - - - - There's nothing inherently 'wrong' with the '64 Imperial front end, but what I never care for is headlights 'just pasted' onto the grille texture. At least I think that's what it is. I get a cheap vibe from it for some reason.
  13. For a '60s rear end, this has to take the cake :: Look at the bumper fitment & contours vs. Ford's. Plus you have the trick invisible taillights. RE the Galaxie's tail end, I'd have to endorse the '61-63 Thunderbird's take over the Galaxie's.
  14. Pontiac had light-up hood ornaments for a stretch : ...started in late '40s and finished with twin fender bullets in '57. Lit grille badges seems like a no brainer- surprised more haven't been done. This would have been awesome lit ('59) :: I believe we're going to see more of this in the near future...
  15. I could agree with that in the rear view, but overall it comes off as a bit lacking in grace, IMO. Sumtin about it...
  16. Bethcha didn't know this; the last Chrysler letter car, the '65 300-L, had a light-up grille emblem :: Lil' details like that are pretty cool in my book. - - - - - Now… I hope someone has engineered a light up Eagle on the rear of their Imperial ::
  17. '41 Chrysler Thunderbolt coupe ::
  18. Always liked these, '53-54 Hudson Italia ::
  19. ^ I don't disagree with anything above, ccap. Anyone with a half cup of common sense could make a -say- 15 million/ 5-yr contract last them the rest of their lives, easily, and never have to work again. I'll do a 1 million / 5-yr deal and whittle matchsticks the rest of my life.
  20. Sports players & actors, both professionally playing games for a living, DO get unquestionably get overcompensated (on average). President of the U.S. gets $400K and Tom Cruise gets 20,000K?? That said, if they enter into a contract between 2 agreeing parties for said amount, more power to them. But no taxpayer money should be involved (IE: tax breaks or otherwise for stadiums/ filming locations).
  21. Ahhh, OK. I always thought the Park Avenue above had a grille too small proportionally. Balthy likes wide, toothy grins.
