  1. I have to say.. thank GOD for the economic crisis effecting GM.. of and the IGNITION CRISIS. I am the most dedicated of GM lovers.. and I have to say that their attention to detail in their current and future products simply blow anything and everything pre-crisis'. That being said.. a proper product launch in these markets is absolutely a must. For some craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy reason.. England and Australia have to have RHD... Cadillac simply does not have it yet.. and the investment doesn't seem to warrant the changeover of existing Alpha and Omega products. I bet good money that the C2xx is ready to go.. and even the Omega.. but U need the Alphas.. the ATS is still Cadillac's biggest seller after the XT5/SRX globally. It does quite well. Anyway.. Growth is growth.. Cadillac is coming into its own.. being the a true brand to watch... despite only having a combined 7 models versus all of its competitors having 11+
  2. I'd take the Equinox on looks.. and the Terrain on interior hands down. The Edge I'd take because of the more powerful engine.. but then again... the Edge is not the actual competitor to these.. teh Escape is
  3. The thing is that some people simply love the look of certain aspects of a vehicle so much.. that they are gonna go a certain route regardless. Its like over at Toyota.. I never really could see why someone would get the Sequoia over a Land Cruiser.. despite the price. Oh.. I didn't kno that about the Cadillac. I am on board with that.. and it doesn't even have to be as large. Just able top sit in between the Escalade and XT5. We would see Caddy sales up 3000 a month just like that I bet
  4. Hence me saying that this would be perfect for the time being ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches
  5. Nice powertrain. Interior will be top notch in materials but overall... interior and especially exterior is ugly as fuck tho. I really thing in regards to the engines.. V8s will be completely premium offerings at this point. 0-60 in 4.5 with 415/442 is on point. I could see the CT6 getting a boost for 2018. All they would need to do is go LF3. Considering the weight advantages of teh CT6.. even over the smaller CTS-VSport.. times would be better
  6. I was thinking the same thing.. But that happens at every manufacturer. I will say that if this had a V8 or V6 equivalent.. the decision would be that much harder I kno some will probably still see the Tahoe as the more MANLY of the two.. and it is
  7. Everyone I kno is calling for updates to the 3series... the saving grace for it is that is the GO TO small luxo vehicle.. hell it started the segment. Second... I'm not making any excuses for teh ATS. I have on millions of occasions said that GM should update the car.. even citing that the Camaro had a more up to date user interface and interior design than the ATS.. not to mention plenty of times saying that the exterior needed to be essentially the VSeries looks or at the very least the Premium Performance look. The Engines are technically fine.. and line up still against the competition. The chassis is still top of the segment. The issue with the ATS really remains that the rear room is a bit cramped compared to competition.. Anyone watching can see that the next ATS (CT3?) will most likely go up to the size of the old CTS or at the very least the size of the ATS-L in China. Lastly.. GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE... and stop trying to convince anyone U have a Girl Friend.
  8. I gotta give em props for offering a diesel. Chevy needs to offer the same. Makes no sense why its not offered at this point especially since Ram has been doing it for a while now.. Speaking of Chevy.. was I the only one that at first thought the pictures were mixed up and we were looking at a Chevy nose?
  9. Nice.. real nice especially in High Country. For the life of me I can't figure out why the platform isn't getting some duty over at Caddy. Either way... if this had a V8 or TTV6.. I might consider trading my Yukon for it. The new 5000lb towing is sweet too... not to mention the AWD disconnect
  10. WTF does have to do with the fact that the original discussion was about the ATS being outdated now in terms of styling.. with no real updates since FIRST SHOWN back in 2011? Where are the EXCUSES U speak of??? I openly admit that the ATS needs to be updated. The rest... Eff off.
  11. agreed. and truthfully they could simply give it the more aggressive appearance package until the CT3(?) shows up.
  12. Well.. it is a Kia/Hyundai.. where original thought in design is non-existent. That being said.. I like the look, because I like the donors' looks. The engine tho.. makes me a bit envious in that GM really needs to ditch the 3.6L NA in their cars and just use different variations of the 3.0L TT and 3.6L TT. 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet is easily surpassed with a detuned 3.0L which already has 400/400
  13. Looks awesome.. and we should have seen this coming. The Terrain is selling predominately to women.. and they love rounded edges. This is a nice compromise. This is gorgeous.. and nice fit for the 1-2-3-4 punch that GMC has in this market. The odd man out right now is the ACADIA Limited. I still believe that the Limited's SIZE should be retained with a simple pull from the mothballs and updated Hummer H3 and H3T with the GMC stamp on the front
  14. Oh no.. I agree that car is only 5 MODEL YEARS OLD.. a 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and now 2017.. but alas.. the car was being shown as far back as 2011. Meaning we've been seeing the same old car for 6 years. Thats all I was saying..
  15. In my younger years I used to dog little bitches just for sport.. I love arguing with so-called enthusiasts because they always think they kno everything.. and some do.. but they forget the reality of being an enthusiast.. We see things normally before the public does.. and since when is WIKIPEDIA the end all be all of knowledge. Ahhhh.. the continuous downturn of WORLD education.. thus.. in 12 days we will see Donald Trump take the big chair. anyway.. I said, exactly this: " It was being shown in 2011." Key word is SHOWN... I remember.. as an enthusiast.. U kno the guys and gals that look at every bit of the Web, streets, and proving grounds.. to see what's coming... seeing the ATS as far back as SEPTEMBER 2011. It started as a mule AUTOBLOG LINK.. hell earlier than that we saw camo cars running around in March 2011 from C&D MARCH 20EFFIN11 LINK Around Oct 2011 We started seeing renderings based on those Mules... which wasn't hard to do considering the Cadillac design language.. CLASSIC CADILLAC LINK and even slightly off ones...GM AUTHOR LINK.. by Summer 2011 GM itself was putting out profile shots.. STILL.. being SHOWN in 2011, Here it is from CAR AND DRIVER LINK . Meaning we were SEEING THE CAR.. thus its age began there. It hit the lots in 2012.. Sept to be precise with 611 units. U see??? I didn't go to Wiki at all to get this info. again.. from 2011 to 2017... is pretty much 6 years for people to get used to seeing the same car.. with almost ZERO changes in appearance.
  16. Last I checked... we are in 2017. The ATS actually hit the lots in 2012. It was being shown in 2011. Lets see.. basic numbers I learned in the Womb.. 2011-->2012=1 ; 2012-->2013= 2 ; 2013-->2014=3 ; 2014--> 2015= 4; 2015-->2016 =5 ; 2016-->2017= 6
  17. Cadillac as my favorite. CTS-V in Red with Ebony interior and the works.. fully loaded. Best of every world except snowy days. Escalade for my everyday. I mean come on.. I love my Yukon but the Escalade should have been available when I went to purchase. All the had was ESVs Least favorite is always Toyota.. altho Hyundai is close. Lexus RC Coupe I guess. Its ok to drive but ugly as shit The Lexus LX for utility. honestly the Toyota's didn't get me excited at all.. in fact.. if I had an erection after talking about the Caddys.. its soft as a pack of mayonnaise thinking about those ugly muthafuckas.
  18. I'm again talking 2019-20. The Sedans need fixing??? Outside of the ATS.. which is now 5 MY old... and been around for 6.. The CTS and CT6 don't need fixing... One needs an understanding from daft people at Caddy that cars in the segment need variation, which helps spawn sales.. the other is selling a 95% S-class at 75% the price.. OF EFFIN COURSE the comparisons are gonna favor the more expensive S or 7.. they are charging U more thus SHOULD offer more. In fact.. after U drove the CT6 TT and S550 back to back.. what were the issues the Cadillac presented versus the Benz??? I can tell U.. and this is coming from a staunch Caddy lover.. the most glaring difference in the cars was the effin steering wheel cover. I didn't even think the S-Class's V8 was able to move the car better by any measurable bit over the CT6 TT. Both engines were smooth as the other. Both trannys shifted as nice. OH!!! Was it CUE??? Nope. Loved the Cadillac system. Perhaps its was my complete understanding of it after living with it for a year. To the CORE product. I agree that the core product needs more VARIANTS.. and a few upgrades. Personally I still believe that a CT6 TTv8 and a revised Platinum interior with bespoke choices would be absolutely perfect as the CT8. Make it bigger by a few inches.. a CT6-L if U will, and give it a slightly different face. A Sports Coupe in the CTS line.. like before when it was mysteriously selling 30% more copies (because 30% of all CTS sales in Gen 2 were.. U guessed it.. COUPES) and a CT7 (Elmiraj) to be a companion to the CT6. No brainer. 2020 comes along .. then bring on the XLR replacement. Oh and I didn't forget the CUVS. Truth be told Caddy needs at least two more. Most people seems to forget that the Escalade comes in two sizes already.. along with the XT5 makes Caddy selling 3 in the segment.. two body-on-frame be damned. (I mean come on.. we compare the Escalade to GLS then forget it when we are talking about Cadillac offerings). Again.. the XT5's platform can support a smaller offering. It, I'm sure, can support a VSport variant with a higher HP engine and a hybrid. That would be 4. COMPLETELY MATCHING what Lexus is offering. Of course.. everyone wants Cadillac to offer a RWD performance SUV. Why? Its not the big seller in the market. Its not even a factor over at BMW for the X5 sales.
  19. There is no disputing that the Cadillac version would have to be a better car.. but in truth.. it would not necessarily have to be a more powerful or faster one. See the Camaro ZL1 vs CTS-V, same platform, same engine.. but the Cadillac is pulling double duty.. as a helluva luxury car.. plush and prim.. while with the push of a button.. one.. then two times.. become a track monster. Same exact transformation for the new XLR. Here's the question.. are we talking an SL competitor.. or an AMG GT competitor? Well personally I would go for both, via trims. The XLR (XL8 and VSport) would be the SL Competitor.. basically redone Grand Sport and Z06, while off the cuff I'd offer an XL-V .. basically the ZR1 competitor. Of course this is 2017.. and the C8 will probably be here in 2019.. so U do this on the C8 platform.. but only because of time not because the C7 isn't up to snuff. The timing again would allow for the VSeries program to continue to establish Caddy's power cred. U wanna talk business sense, but then talk about essentially redesigning or creating an entire platform for the purpose of exclusivity, to distance it from an already "exclusive" platform (honestly... 30K (Vette 2016) sales is pretty exclusive for a singular platform) and fooling a few fools who read magazines and still latch hold of the BS idea that "a LT1 and LT4 are truck engines." Tell it to the millions who have shelled out boooku dollars for a shiny new Cadillac Tahoe/Suburban or even GMC Tahoe/Suburban. These vehicles are almost identical. I kno some (non-enthusiasts) owners of XLRs who to this day don't associate their car with the Vette. I won't even get into the fact that we have a new DOHC engine coming from Cadillac as, supposedly Vette. I love Cadillac.. my neighbor and several colleagues love Cadillac.. and we all trusted Cadillac with six figure car and SUVs.. happily I might add.
  20. Seriously.. if U didn't see the badge... and didn't kno which was more expensive.. I bet good money most would figure that this: was actually CHEAPER than this (A GOD DAMN Chevy.. :
  21. It is an S-Class.. which U day in and day out FAIL to realize is not only NOT A BIG THING with today's lending standards propped by Benz.. but NOT A BIG THING when it comes to the fact that the S-Class sells primarily the S550.. which is nothing really that great to write home about.. and if U encounter one of the dime a dozen on the street.. really nothing to be in awe over either. An Escalade??? Especially the Platinum.. I'm sorry to tell many who are under some BS spell that the rags have perpetuated.. looks actually more expensive than the S550 and is a part of the hottest segment on the planet. Furthermore this deal would give one access to not just the same ole tired ass S-Class.. but the Escalade.. a CT6 Platinum.. a CTS-V.. a XT5 Plat.. a CTS VSport.. an ATS-V.. and XTS VSport Plat.. How much U wanna bet that if this takes off.. we will see your holier than thou Kraut Co following suit? This or this or this: or This Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidt Cadillac would get my money even if it only offered me ONE of those.. for 3 straight years oh.. and FUCK Mercedes Benz
  22. Even tho the XLR was on C5 platform.. it wasn't that the platform was inferior to competition from the Benz SL, Jag XK, or Lexus SC.. in fact.. the last two.. give me an effin break..If U have ever driven either the Jag U would have to question WHY THE HELL it gets a pass The Cadillac XLR was a failure because of the TIME that GM put it out and the necessary investment dollars that were needed to make it work were not available due to trying to keep the lights on.. even as far back 2004. Those things on top of the their choices of engines not being powerful enough to keep up across the board with the Benz SL and BMW 6Series. They took a great deal of the dynamics of the C5 and left the one thing that may have save the XLR.. the LS1 as a base engine at launch. But its not that the Northstar and S/C Northstar were not great when the XLR debuted.. they were.. its just that Cadillac never moved along with those engines, particularly due to the lack of money in bringing out the promised (and I bet first iteration of the upcoming DOHC V8) ULTRA Engine family. This allowed the competition to improve.. and be better. All that being said.. the part about "time" refers to 2005-2009 when the C6 was now out.. (XLR was still sitting on C5 platform) with an LS2 and then an LS3.. LS7 and LS9.. hell even the debut of the CTS-V with the 556HP LSA while the last XLR-V still had the 443HP SC Northstar in it. Not to mention that while the materials of the interior were top notch.. the layout was somewhat stark.. and the angular styling, even on the inside, was off putting to those rejecting no fluid designs. Again.. this attributed to the death of the car literally as it was just trying to establish itself as a luxury roadster. Bottom line is that if the boys at GM had of put as much into the CADILLAC XLR as they did the CHEVY Corvette... the XLR would still be here today.
  23. Then he's drunk off water.. because the other day a Continental only got my attention only after an Accord that was in front of it rolled by.. and even then I found myself thinking " wow... as much as I hate Japanese products... that Honda looks more upscale than the new Lincoln." No way I would have said that about either of these two
  24. My point. They act like the Corvette is sitting on top of BK platform from Hyundai's Genesis Coupe. We are talking about a car that on the low end still sells for $55K and already reaches to $100K.. when the ZR1 hits I would think up to $135K. Not only that the chassis is as advanced as anything costing $300K. What bewilders me is that after the C7.. hell C6.. people still ALLOW themselves to believe that buying a Ferrari/Lambo etc is a step up in performance outside of the occasional model with higher HP and AWD Never would I have thought of doing it.. but I agree with this statement
