  5. I guess I should add that Before that when i was 20 And the Assembly line and Drugs didn't seem to have a future I planed to go into the air force. Ended up being a Sniper for 15 years. Which being involved in some crazy $h! caused me to be on some watch list that wastes tax payers dollars. So i cant go to a mall with out filling out a forum. sigh....

  7. Wow, After doing some things today and finally just taking a load off look at pop culture in depth and watch some TV. Where the hell have i been. I fell like I was trapped in the 80's and now released in 2007. I feel So dumb founded. Hell Elton John turned 60. I no I have and "can't" have a social life, but damn I feel like a outcast. Stranded in a dead end job for the rest of my life. Although I have a reason i point my finger at every time something bad goes on. I guess I have to stand up take it as a man and be greatful. Is anyone in the same place? I guess I'm going to go for a long drive and just Think of what happened in 23 years to leave me so f@#king out of touch. Then come back drink the night away then go back to the daily grind... well lets hope I don't get stupid...

  11. If I had the spare 100k I would by a Tesla today. I love electric cars because i understand them 100%. While ICE's still have some sort of mystery that i can't comprehend.
  12. blah... $50 for a half tank of gas is a little ridiculous. I paid 3.34 yesterday filled all my cars up cost about $200 to fill up my cars. thats almost half of the average person's paycheck. I have notice tho I drive almost 70 miles less a week. I walk up to the store to get a roll of paper towel and stuff like that. Everybody but the gas companies are hurting from this. Restaurant's are dead. The Mall Parking lot is empty.
  13. God, who let a group of 3 year olds with angle grinders and a tub of Bondo loose.
  14. PCS Don't Tell me you have never heard of the Chevette or Corvair electrics? Over 100 years ago more Electrics roamed the streets then gas cars.

94.7 is where I keep my radio at unless D&D are on 97.1. I was so mad when 106.7 went country. yeah there are millions of bands to go on.. Foreigner, Journey, Manfred Man, Segar, ....
  16. I loved my 80' Chevette although I almost died on I-94 countless times. great reliable cars.

"Like Gun powder and gelatin Dynamite with a laser beam Guaranteed to blow your mind" Bicycle Race = Acid trip? I have some CCR and Lynyrd Skynyrd playing right now.
  19. Personally i think they are overpriced and underpowered. But as a city runabout they are pretty good. I could never use one for anything but a go to work and back car.
  20. I know I was just stating because I'm bored and have nothing else to do.

Well yes I am stuck in the 70's with my vinyl record player. I decided to dust it off balance the needle set up the deck and equalizer. Then threw on some old records. I played some Kansas, Eagles, Doors, Cat Stevens, and some Queen. I always never really cared for queen, but after listening to then for a little bit actually the were very talented. Now I am stuck with some songs stuck in my head. Any other 70-80's band you think were talented. Also vinyl record's seem to have a unique audio tone that has never been masted by digital technology but CD's Are 10000000000 times better then vinyl's could ever be.
  22. In reality though Its still a suicidal job, But Its much more laded back now. Plus easier and safer. I remember non stop working for the full 10+hours Only 2 10 minute breaks and 1/2 hour lunch. Which sucked because they where staggered because the cover guys could only hold 7 jobs at a time so you only had lunch with the same 3-4 guys everyday. It was very labor intensive I think i had 90 seconds to weld a 2 foot section that held the rear suspension up so its a pretty vital part. Every shirt i had was burned up. I remember going to the salvation army on Saturday and buying 6 shirts just to get trashed and caught on fire. Last Year i got to see the Pontiac assembly plant. And people could talk to each other and some guy gets almost 3-4 minutes to install a interior panel then gets to mess around with his cell phone. The entire line shuts down for breaks and Lunch. At Conner's if the line shut down there have better been some guy dead or someone got decapitated because they would be furious and threaten you your job for shutting the line down. Although they couldn't because we had Union reps. I didn't mean to sound Like a crotchety old man talking about "back in the day" I was just trying to point out how times have changed definably for the better!
  23. you call that a assembly line? It was the worst job to have in the day. I was a welder on the Cadillac line welded the rear structure on Eldo's
  24. hmm.. i don't remember much, But I took my road test in a 74 Toronado with a 455. Then Bought a 69 satellite for $100 then a 69 mach 1 for 350. Then 2 years later i added a 73 Monte Carlo to the collection. God I wish I lived back then again I would do so many different things, but the past is a lonely place to live.
