Sorry about your latest misfortunes. You guys deserve a break. I think you officially overtake FlyBrian as the most collision-prone. Hope dealing with the insurance company doesn't bring too much grief.

No rebate for me because I exceed the income cap, but I think the U.S. Government should cut out the middlemen and just send the money straight to the oil companies. It's great to have oil men run the country, isn't it? As for economic stimulus, the rebates will do squat.

It looks ok, with enough bumps, bruises, and rust to bargain down to $1500. The engine is not overly powerful, but a quick downshift allows passing without too much drama.

It's unfortunate the rear doors come straight from the sedan rather than having a more vertical C-pillar. The idea of a CTS wagon is fantastic as people move on from gargantuan SUVs, but the execution could be much better.

There's a new black G8 at my work parking lot. I'll have to find out who it belongs to. BV, I had a '93 Hardbody truck, 4 cylinder, regular cab, stick. It was basic, but it was a great little truck up to the day it met its premature demise at around 110K miles in a collision with a Park Avenue. That little truck probably would have run forever. The shifter is not the smoothest thing, but it was still pretty easy to drive.

Sounds like a good plan. Housing will remain in the dumps for at least another year. Rent or share a place for a year then buy a place. Get approved for a mortage based upon renting out your condo.
