I was at the Lexus dealer yesterday getting the IS300 serviced. I saw the salesman who sold me my car almost eight years ago and asked him if he had any IS-Fs and if they were selling with added dealer mark-up. He showed me the two that were in the showroom and said they do not sell vehicles for over sticker, that's it's bad for business. The sticker price for each was $61K, and I told him it was a good deal for what you get. I told him I would be more interested in getting a hybrid IS, and he told me that the LS hybrid doesn't make sense, but an IS would. A Prius-based Lexus would be a letdown if it had the same cheap feel, but a couple hundred pounds of upgraded materials and more distinctive styling would do wonders and could make a worthy green Lexus.

I would. The Acheiva I used to drive at work went to auction and sold for around $1300. I arrived at the auction too late to make a bid, so I didn't get the chance to agonize whether to put in a bid, but for only $500, I would have done it. The car's not sporty or much fun to drive, but it does get from point A to point B.

I kind of like it. It has character. The headlights are a little odd with what I'm assuming are wraparound cornering lamps. The inset headlights remind me of the old Nissan NX2000, and there's some Q45 and Honda S2000 in front too. The rear is an improvement.

Great looking Z. A co-worker just bought an orange Z. They are a great value for the money. I had another co-worker with a white 2005 Z he was selling. If it was a 2006 model, with the updates, I may have gone for it.
