  1. I take the train every day to and from the local train station into Philadelphia and it's definately not all it's cracked up to be. Besides dealing with rude and obnoxious conductors, I have to deal with rude, obnoxious and dirty passengers who can't put their bags in the overhead luggage racks, blast the music on their headphones, scream into their cell phones, use the walkie-talkie feature on their cell phones, etc. Babies are whole other story. I think, for the most part, public transportation is highly overrated. It totally depends on where you live and what you have access to.

  3. Judging by that photo it seems like sightlines are still preserved and that window pillar someone pointed out earlier doesn't seem to get in the way, either.
  4. I use both but haven't heard of or had any problems. Does anyone know if having Norton's Internet Security, anti-virus and a firewall help?
  5. I don't know, Peter. This segment is really hot right now and will be for some time because of gas prices, etc. I would take a Yaris and Aveo over the Nissan. I think it looks somewhat dated in comparison.
  6. Some quotes from the Yaris thread (did this before and got yelled at for it so I thought I'd do it again): In all seriousness, though, this is a very competitive entry in the class and should continue as America's best-selling entry-level car. Yes, the fuel economy isn't class-leading, the plood (I understand now) looks like the peel-and-stick graphics you'd put on a model car (though it does nicely update the interior), curtain-style side-impact airbags are not offered and the hatchback/wagon/liftback version isn't being updated and released along with the sedan (would be a good idea in my book), it looks great, has a nice interior and hopefully is priced right. I think GM hit the ball out of the park with this one.
  7. Same here.
  8. I'd take the Charger over the 300 anyway but only in non-top level trim, I think. It looks meaner and is more exclusive.
  9. That Aveo has some sweet gauges.
  10. I don't know if I'd call it more appropriate, maybe less spartan/more style type of thhing.
  11. I know but I think Toyota could have done a better job.
  12. Any car in the near-luxury or luxury level should, too.
  13. I used to like his columns but their effect has worn off considerably.
  14. Don't ask me.
  15. It's miles ahead of the Aveo's interior and probably ahead of the Cobalt's in terms of quality of materials used.
  16. The concept was almost 100% production ready, exterior design-wise. The worst thing about the FJ is its interior which looks a little too much like a tough-SUV.
  17. Benz should quit while it's ahead.
  18. How about giving this to Buick?
  19. I'm not crazy about the hatchback because it's really small but the sedan is alright, especially the interior. Imagine a $14-15K car without corporate radio/HVAC controls! It's a travesty!
  20. Buick Epsilon? I guess GM's plan to keep off the fat of extra, unneeded vehicles has been trashed. Sigh...
  21. Elections will not be won with comments like that.
  22. I'm not digging the front (cheap looking) or the windshield (looks like a boat with the tonneau top).
