  1. Thanks for making me piss my pants.  The Prius' powertrain is perfect for me... :alcoholic:
  2. Just had an idea: C&G: Detroit Motor City Put some of us up in a hot penthouse in Detroit and see what happens. Maybe MTV will pick it up? Speed?

  4. I love the paint...awesome color. I guess Saab will sell 1/3 of the 300 units the U.S. is getting.
  5. I'd answer this at length but I'd just be throwing up what everyone else said. I think it's a combination of quality perception, somewhat lackluster design/engineering, too many cars/divisions, improper product pricing and legacy costs. GM's business model needs to reflect current and even future realities or else it will fail. Even with the plant closings coming up, I'm not sure if GM's business model is up to snuff. Currently, it seems GM knows what to do with Saturn and that's pretty much it. From giving GMC a crossover to rumors of a Kappa Chevy coupe to a somewhat lackluster new Escalade, STS, STS-v to throwing random cars at Buick to ignoring Pontiac, that's how it seems to me. Of course, my love affair with Saturn has been ramping up for months so that could cloud my vision.
  6. WHAT?!?!
  7. He has to get past the homicide bombers, too. Steal the presidential limo - 'tis a Cadillac.
  8. Cough...yes...cough. It's not like it's obvious or anything, right?
  9. Good to have back and nice to hear your brother and friend are alright. In the words of Savage Garden, "keep that chin up, you'll be all right." Maybe start looking for another job in the meantime.
  10. I'm middle of the road. I like looking good so I buy clothes more than anything else but I usually look on sale racks and rarely pay top dollar. I think the most I ever spent on a single clothing item was $55 for a Diesel hoody that was 50% off (reg $110). I couldn't pass that deal up. I just found eBay, too, and I've been doing my clothes shopping on there. I've been selling stuff like mad, too, clothes, textbooks, crap I don't need/want. I made about $200 last month, nice supplemental income. Edit: I believe in, "the more you pay, the higher quality it is," which is usually true. Not in all cases but most.
  11. Nice x-ray vision there, reg.
  12. Rumors has it the economy in 2006 is going to be great so we should be looking forward to a good year for car sales. I think Saturn will sell more than Buick this year, too.
  13. On I95 yesterday I saw a new Impala and the older one driving side by side. The new one looks a lot more slimmer, more fit, compared to the last model. It's classiness (is that a word) shot up big time, too.

  15. Can you imagine if the current Camry shared the current ES interior?
  16. Wow, that looks a lot nicer (and more capable) than the concept led on. I wonder if the interior will have the Jeep signature hard-as-rock plastics?
  17. I remember something like this happened in PA a few years ago and everyone was rescued without a problem. The miners had a problem with water, though. They broke through a wall and had a flood so they weren't dealing with explosions and dangerous gasses. When I first heard about this I thought everyone would end up in the same boat (fine) but it looks like all hope it lost. I grieve for the families.
  18. Creaming your pants is good anytime. I didn't know you were that young, Josh. Congratulations on the purchase (meant to tell you that a while ago) but it means a lot more when you're young and have to work your ass off to get what you want and show everyone else you can obtain it with hard work.
  19. I completely understand what you're saying, Cananopie.
  20. If Ford can do it with the Navigator and Aviator interiors, why can't GM? It would definately boost TB sales.
  21. I think it was Autoblog that said something about the front area where the firewall is. Perhaps not neccesarily the firewall itself but that general area is originally designed for a large car with a large engine and can't be changed easily. The body and proportions have to be built around it.
  22. Isn't this the car Buick has to beat?
  23. I read somewhere why the Challenger was so big. Mainly, it all adds up the platform and how the firewall-area requires a large cowl (sp?). Instead of trying to make it small and weird, Dodge just created it so it would be proportionate. I hope I have this explanation right.
