wow guys...thank you so much for taking the time to write such detailed heartfelt responses...i can honestly say that i do feel a whole lot better after reading them all...i honestly do believe that there is someone for everyone however it is definately up in the air as to whether or not you find that person...and im definately NOT ok with the thought of being single my whole life and i have no desire to end up that way whether or not thats good for my mental health remains to be seen...i think that lately these feelings have been intensified when compounded with the fact that i am going through some trouble with my closest friends and with my family...there has been a lot of drama in those areas and whats normally a happy and fruitful holiday season was mostly a miserable mess of emotions for me on that front and it has definately added to the pain...things are slowly working out with them tho so hopefully i'll continue to feel better as time goes by... thanks again everyone i really REALLY appreciate everything especially considering we barely know each other :-)

so yeah its been over a year since my last relationship and not for lack of trying....it seems like no matter how hard i try (or dont try as has been suggested to me) i cannot even seem to find any decent normal guy that is interested in me...i look pretty much anywhere and im fairly open minded when it comes to at least goin on a date with someone and seeing where it goes but all its been for the past year is me getting led on and played or just plain shut down by anyone...at this point its become a really sore spot in my life and ive become more and more depressed to the point where almost nothing makes me happy anymore and i just feel like im running out of possiblities and im just gonna end up lonely and alone for a long time....i dont understand whats going on and i try to do everything right...all i can do is be myself and im a (REALLY) nice guy and very caring and a great listener and im extremely outgoing....social and friendly...i dont think im that bad looking...i take care of myself and dress fairly well....so what is it....why is it so easy for everyone around me to find dates and special relationships and i cant for the life of me get anything... so much for a positive start to the new year

i consider cadillac to be an exception SOMETIMES because they are a more premium brand...however my grandmothers caddy dealer is horrendous as far as service is concerned gmpartsgirl...i believe there are manufacturer programs to subsidize some of the cost of providing loaner cars and i can understand insurance companies not wanting to get invovled with loaner cars but if the imports can do it why cant the domestics??

just a little addition to my previous posts... in addition to whats going on with the new car departments and new car sales...the service experience at most GM dealerships leaves a lot to be desired especially when stacked up against honda/toyota/mercedes/bmw....from both sides of the fence ie. as an employee of the dealership and not as an employee...my experiences with getting my GM cars serviced has been horrible just about every single time...i constantly have to fight to get simple warranty repairs done...they've NEVER been done right the first time...resulting in multiple visits for the same problem and loaner cars are completely non-existant....when my mom had her honda (Despite the fact that it was a piece of crap and was always in the shop) the dealership was more than helpful in taking care of whatever was wrong no arguing no fighting no trips back and forth AND if you scheduled ahead of time you are guaranteed a loaner as soon as you arrive at the dealership...none of that sitting around for hours waiting for someone to look at ur car and determine if you qualify for a rental car or not....the same deal goes for my experience with my friend and his mercedes...just a hassle free easy service experience

do people even pay $500 over anymore these days?? lol back when id mystery shop for my dealership sales people were dropping down to invoice right out of the gate b4 even starting to negotiate. It's a pretty bad tactic especially when you need every penny you can get just to keep the lights on

ok so they succeeded in brand management with one brand...what about the rest??...and from my experience working at a gmc dealership a lot of people cross shopped the yukon with the suburban/tahoe or the escalade...some people saw the value of the "cheap escalade" aspect of the denali but a lot of people chose to jump up to the escalade simply b/c a gmc is not a cadillac...as for the non denali yukons people just didnt want them cuz a suburban/tahoe was supposedly cheaper and the same thing...we never had more than 1 or 2 SLT yukons on our lot and we NEVER had any SLE's because they just didnt sell im thinking more along the lines of paring down GM to its core essentials with virtually no product overlap and rebadges...b/c i think in the long run thats whats gonna be successful for GM's future

if any brand should go away its GMC...all of their trucks are virtual carbon copies of the chevy trucks...and as much of a gmc fan as i am i think its something that needs to happen...im also not feeling buick as a brand any more simply because they have no good product and only 3 vehicles for sale...why bother (Except for the chinese market...keep the buick nameplate there seeing as its the best thing that happened to GM there but use global platforms with buick badges) however eliminating the pontiac brand would be a very bad decision on GM's part...Pontiac needs to become what GM's been saying it should be all along...the sporty performance oriented GM brand with primarily high powered RWD CARS...no pansy ass suv's/hatchback/econoboxes quite simply their lineup should include a 2 seater coupe/roadster, a midsize sedan/coupe/convertible (like the 3 series and g37) and a large sedan (like the 5 series and m45) bmw and infiniti are some of the biggest selling brands around here and GM needs to take note of their successful formula and build great pontiac cars to go with them....oh and another thing...notice how a lot of the performance cars out there come with the option of ALL WHEEL DRIVE!?!? cmon GM you have the technology...make it happen as for chevy that should be its mainstream honda /toyota/nissan competitors caddy can compete against mercedes/audi/bmw and saturn can be the low buck kia/hyundai competitor 4 brands....each with their own clear cut defined target market and demographics...dont do rebages to cut costs...globalize to cut costs use the same platforms in multiple markets...more countries = more buyers = less cost i dont need to say anything about hummer...GM knows whats up with that...and im all for AM General buying it back Is it just me or is this so simple and sensible?? but God forbid gm ever does that...and i know there will be people that disagree with getting rid of gmc/buick based on nostalgic enthusiasm but at this point GM cannot afford to survive with so much extra baggage simply for nostagias sake

ok well theres been a lot of activity in my area... 1 ford dealership closed and nissan moved into that building Audi moved next to the VW Dealership and opened a mazda dealership at the old audi location so now they have Palisades Audi, VW, Volvo and Mazda Toyota used to be in whats now the VW building but now they have a massive shiny new place down the street The former Pontiac/GMC/Caddy store now has Buick as well and they have bought out the lots around them, next door is Chrysler Jeep Dodge...Hyundai used to be there until building its own place down the street, next to that is ford which also now has lincoln/mercury, across the street is mercedes and honda is down the street both have the same owners down where my dealership was b4 it closed RIP we had Pontiac/GMC/Isuzu...we lost isuzu when it pulled out of the us market...we were supposed to get the caddy/buick franchises due to the current place down the street closing down...well long story short a chevy/hummer dealer in the area was forced by gm to build a $5 mil separate building for Hummer and then a year later hummer and the whole market tanked...needless to say they were pissed so in order to smooth things over gm allowed them to re-open a closed pontiac gmc store RIGHT UP THE STREET FROM US...then the death blow to our dealership is when GM also gave them caddy/buick and left us with nothing...the dodge dealership in the area closed and that property as well as our property was bought by the prestige auto group for their new BMW and Mercedes buildings (funny how the expensive brands are doing GREAT around here) prestige also recently built a new lexus store and a mini store...so yeah its been crazy here to say the least

just a funny note....my 07 G5 GT says it has leather/heated seats and it doesnt its ok tho cuz i didnt want or order leather anyway lesson learned that you never trust the GM VIS Sheet always confirm by looking at the car itself

exactly...my dads always had 2wd suburbans b4 the canyon (high gas prices FTL) and my last car b4 the g5 was his old 94 suburban 2wd g80...ive NEVER EVER gotten stuck anywhere....even on nearly bald tires one winter
