  1. Post of the year!!!!
  2. That's exactly why the liberals hate it. It's not cool for people besides themselves to live off of the government. Not to mention, they want to ruin Detroit and ensure that we all have to drive the same piece of $h! compact cars that they're salary affords them.
  3. C'mon man... There is just too much research and $$$ at stake for it not to happen. Now, the question is; how big will it get?
  4. I wouldn't mind an Alpha Camaro either, since IMO, the car should be smaller anyway. However, I want my Alpha Camaro with a V8 option, same with the GTO. Imagine the V8 from the Denali XT show vehicle in a car the size of Alpha. I'd beat the door down to get that.
  5. Still doesn't negate the fact that Toyota missed the mark BIG TIME (yet again)
  6. As if... PCS repeatedly said the G8 ST and GXPs would never happen, yet they made it. He also said the V8 Camaro would be priced too high for most, yet the Camaro team has denied that. He claimed victory over the demise of the G8 Sport wagon program, yet GM publicly stated that capacity was the reason for not introducing it. Not to mention, Dodge had just killed their wagon (READ: The car GM aspired to be with the G8 wagon) and Cadillac had a CTS wagon on the way. He also stated that the GTO was D.O.A. yet a concept has been shown and is being considered for production (Just like the G8 wagon apparently still is) PCS also mentioned that Zeta was a dead duck altogether, yet GM is currently testing turbo 4 cylinders in the platform and engineering it for hybrid components. And how about that Aplpha Pontiac that most sources still maintain is on the way? I don't doubt the guy works for GM and has some influence. But most of his "contributions" here are to fuel his ego at the expense of very loyal GM fans. If he had much influence at all, 1) GM would've either shut him up or fired him and 2) He would be known throughout the web as opposed to only C&G. All I'm saying is; don't believe everything you hear, especially from an openly GM source.
  7. Yeah, Burns' janitor has stolen his computer again.
  8. As far as I know, the Buick and Cadillac Zetas are in development. I'm just saying... We hear many things but only some of it is truth. Zeta is alive and well with the only confirmed kill being the Impala. The GTO doesn't count because 1) It wasn't greenlighted to begin with and 2) It *STILL* could be produced.
  9. Ya know.... I say what the hell, give us an Epsilon II G6, but make it a true, AWD world class Lancer EVO competitor. We can hold the top of the line with Zeta (assuming it stays around) and satisfy the smaller RWD loyalists with Kappa. (Idealistically Kappa II could underpin a G5 replacement anyway)
  10. I call on PCS (As always) GM has explicitly said that the G8 wagon was canceled because of capacity issues. In fact, according to news by Car & Driver last month, GM is rethinking the business case for the wagon thanks to HUGE demand for the sedan. The article states that production would join the Camaro and export from North America. *IF this division verses division mentality still exists at GM, then something is still very wrong. There certainly is room for both a CTS wagon and G8 wagon, especially given the LOW volume of both entries. This article specifically states that most of the CTS wagons will be exported. But, as always, GM's ignorant bureaucracy ruins a beautiful plan.
  11. That's horrible...
  12. Yep, just like the official news of the cancellation of all those Zetas, right? (G8, G8 ST, the GXPs, Camaro, etc.)
  13. I was talking to a guy I met here in my complex. He is the VERY typical anti-Detroit consumer and drives a shiny red Prius everyday. He noticed my Pontiac bracelet and started talking cars with me. I thought, oh god, this guy won't be my friend in about 5 minutes. he actually started telling me about how much he loves the new Malibu and Aura and could definitely see himself buying one of those if he were on the market. I was very happy
  14. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!?! Don't move into a townhouse! Oh wait, that wasn't the issue? Nevermind then.
  15. These kinda suck, but here goes... Some of you might remember this:
  16. Funny, my gf says the same thing. We'll pass by the latest "upper class" condo project here in Charlotte and she'll say; "building tomorrows ghettos for todays upper class." We all know that most of that sh*t is only built to last 5-10 years. But then again, I'm not sure anyone even builds sturdy houses with character anymore. (Besides the uber wealthy)
  17. LOL... Had to do that once too.
  18. Take it for what it is: sci-fi/comedy
  19. I can agree to that, but I still think there is a desire to live 'small town' eventhough it is close to the city. NoDa was originally a mill town albeit a LONG time ago before Charlotte swallowed it up. I'm sorta like that... It's the ultimate paradox. I want a good job with cool places to hang out but at the same time NoDa is WAY too urban for me. I need space and lots of nature. If such a place exists, them I'd be right at home. Aliso Viejo sounds very nice too. I'd definitely be using those parks
  20. I bounce back and forth. This is my home while I'm at school, then when I'm not I go back to where I was raised which is 'in the sticks' (Appalachian Mountains) LOL. Yeah, I'm a bit more 'cultured' than my persona here conveys. NoDa is great for what it is. The vibe is very small town and very artsy at the same time. Crawl nights are especially fun. But it seems that almost any night we can walk to everything and at the bars it's literally like (not to sound too cliche) everybody knows your name. We live in a 100 year old mill, which is very cool because cavigirl and I are both history buffs. Living in this environment is also good for me because it helps me with social skills. I'm very introverted and living in close proximity to other people seems to bring me out more. I say "for what it is" because I always miss my hometown. I miss being out in the country away from people in the fresh air. I miss the mountains. But for now, as long as I have to live in an apartment in the city, I wouldn't have it any other way.
  21. NoDa... It's about a mile or two outside of uptown Charlotte. http://www.noda.org/
  22. I agree. The "Sport" trim is now an appearance package. Why not slap it on the XFE?
  23. Thus is marketing... And lets face it; the media is pretty much a marketing outlet these days. (Nothing against AutoSavant)
  24. Yep, those are my babies... This year is the 10 year anniversary for my ownership of the '73, and after 10 years it finally has a complete interior. LOL. My friends used to always give me hell about that. Friend: "So, you say you put a built 400 in your Camaro this summer, right?" FOG: "Yeah." Friend: "Too bad it still doesn't have any door panels!"
  25. Has this made any major news? I mean, I know it's sourced from ABC, but did they actually report it or just throw it on their blog? (that no one really cares about)
