  1. Now, now! Don't talk bad about the fruit loops in Cali... You'll have people threatening your life in here. But you can talk about us "rednecks" in the south "crooked red state senators" "bible thumping gun lovers" or "ghetto-fab Chrysler owners" all you want. (I saw it, it's part of the Lounge rules)
  2. I'm just sayin'..... :shrugs: It will happen.
  3. (a.k.a. we should not be FORCED to live strained lives or feel horrible for what we enjoy in our life over some voodoo that the descendants of people that took WAY to many drugs in the 60's forced onto the world) It's nothing but a means for the elite to control the masses.
  4. All I know is that this has been a record setting winter in NC (just like around the world -- First snow in London in 20 years!) But hey, they've EMBELLISHED the scheme to include "climate change and natural disasters" now. So I guess that saves their ass regardless. Apparently "global warming" includes the planet getting warmer, the planet getting colder, a snow storm, a tornado, a tsunami, a hurricane, a thunderstorm, sunshine and the fact that I'll have gas tomorrow... Hell, around here we have a special world for global warming; it's called "WEATHER"
  5. Not good... I hurt myself on that in under a week.
  6. I don't understand why everyone wants to put ugly f**king wheels on their cars these days... Flat black wheels against this red?!?! SERIOUSLY?!?!? If Pontiac were to make this (the GXP) the standard Solstice and bolt in the Sky interior. Then keep the G8 and add some more trim levels (HSV) Then bring in the Astra in various trim levels, I think we'd have a Pontiac that's worthy of EXCITMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. It's called The media
  8. *Fixed.
  9. That's funny... I didn't think fiberglass would "fall to pieces" (Unless struck by something) That's an awesome find... That's THE most collectible Vette ever produced and the owner is just letting it sit there and rot. here's to hoping that someone with deep pockets gives it the home and love it deserves. (After all, it'll soon be one of the last examples of the great industry we HAD)
  10. This just reinforces the piece I posted recently about corporate culture. I find it funny that the Detroit companies are so busy fighting amongst themselves and each other while the japanese companies are eating their lunch. Have fun rotting in the dying bin GM....
  11. wow. eery picture.
  12. At the time it was built, no one thought a plane would take down the trade centers either. Nah... Not a theory. More of a ploy
  13. Excellent!
  14. WOW... Never thought I'd see such big names filing chapter 11. This really worries me, as I'm sure Congress will try to use this as an opportunity to just "shut down" performance and claim that "obviously there is no market for it."
  15. This one makes me very sad too.. 1994 B-52 crash Another eery video (but a damn good pilot!) Not as bad: More:
  16. Same here, LOL. Left the last place in better shape than I received it. Then again, it's kind of hard to eff up concrete floors, brick walls and heavy timber. (We just painted it really bright colors -- 2 different shades of blue, dark gray, bright green and dark red. Don't judge it until you see it.) Renting has its advantages as well. For instance, if I hate my surroundings, I can move next week. The GF tried to get me to buy a couple of years ago. I told her no because I knew the marrket was going to go bust soon and I didn't want to get stuck somewhere, upside down for 10 years. Low and behold, I'm glad we didn't buy.
  17. You do seem like a very unruly guy TRUE STORY: A friend of mine had a foreign exchange student that occupied a room in their house. Said friend walked in to witness said foreign exchange students "releasing the force" (You know, the same thing that happens when Satty sees a tricked out Prius ) all over the wall in the room. She kicked the foreign exchange student out, LOL.
  18. With 5% of the market and one division?!?! I share your sentiment (The damn bondholders need to be slapped across the face. And hard) But I don't think chapter 11 is the solution. (I don't know what the solution is, honestly)
  19. How are they identical again? Bland is bland, but bland ain't identical.
  20. Calling PCS..................
  21. LMFAO... Okay.... So, let me get this straight... I like the G6 coupe but not a completely different model from a completely different company and it's rampant hypocrisy? Hypocrisy has no bearing on any of this. (Seriously, did you forget the definition?) Better yet (to use your other common argument  ) I like a GM car just because it's a GM car on a GM board at which I post under the name FUTUREofGM... Yep... Lots of hypocrisy there! Same can be said for ANY modern car, especially the Asian imports. I like to look at them while they're lined up at the stoplight and notice things such as how the door handles are placed in EXACTLY the same fashion, how the window edges are cut EXACTLY the same way and how, if in gray, tan or white, one could easily pass for the other to the average buyer (an ignorance which probably plays to the companies strength)
  22. I think that title belongs to the Altima coupe... I've likened it to the Ford Fairmont of the 21st century... What, with it's "a frame" dimensions and HUGE overbite/ass (complete with fake spare tire curvature)
  23. I don't think I've ever bashed the Solara (I dunno, I can't remember all of the 10,000 posts I've made since I've been blogging) It's not because I hate the Solara, more because it's so forgettable that I seem to overlook it. But now that you mention it, the Solara is a miserable chud of an appliance. The G6 has better proportions and the bumpers (at least pre 2009.5) don't look "tacked on from a guys garage at VTEC.net" Besides... What does that have to do with anything? I'm supposed to subjectively like one because I like the other? WTFever, LOL.
  24. http://www.hybridcars.com/news/long-time-g...pany-25553.html http://www.umtri.umich.edu/content/RetoolingGM.pdf (This guy is my new hero...)
  25. Sharon/Fairview is nice, that's right up against South Park and one of the "old money" areas here in Charlotte. The Northlake area is very nice as well. I like it out that way because it's still pretty sparse and "country" in a lot of ways. But that's also one of the big growth areas, so I'm not sure how long it'll retain those characteristics.
