  1. The frame on that rodeo that Haley was driving to her high school classes had the integrity of a balsa wood model airplane. I am amazed the towing company got it into the flatbed without it breaking in two. The parents...my neighbors...bought it new. Good people...unforgivable had on the part of Mitsu and Honda to sell those. Unforgivable.
  2. Given the hideous nature of the current crop of Acura vehicles it would seem Honda is the one company outside of Applebee's on the planet incapable of hurting itself with marginal product. My father owned one on the Rodeo passports. It was a steaming pile. The Rodeo handed down to the teen girl who used to live next door...rather terrifyingly had the frame rot in amazing ways.
  3. The passport has obscenely high resale which was the point. Applebees offers God awful good and service...and sells food all over the country. If your going to sell drivel to the masses it might as well be profitable. I like them just fine. It's just that the XT6 is the Applebees or Olive Garden of Luxury SUVs. But don't feel insulted...BMW is like an over rated French restaurant that over promises and under delivers.
  4. I kind of like your edgy nature....no doubt ever where you stand. But thought about you at lunch....ate with a friend.... Mutual Friend of ours had his wife put his GMC Denali Truck into a reservoir...she left it in neutral and did not put it into park on a hill. At first the family thought it was stolen....until a fisherman said he saw something under water about twenty feet out in the reservoir. Tow truck pulled a very waterlogged vehicle out....after divers attached chains to it. Something you said about stupid people.... My friend was merciless to our other friend...said he deserved a ticket because there was a 5 HP limit on that reservoir. Anyhoo....thanks for keeping it real. And human stupidity knows no end. The only real trouble makers here were expelled by the management. I have absolutely zero issues with any of you. Thanks for the clarification. Ohhhhh...and I also ran into our vendor this morning that has both a CT6 and a Conti. He says the CT6 is wayyyy more car than the Conti ever dreamed of being, but loves them both dearly. Just thought I would throw that out there.
  5. 4 different oddities.... #1. 1960s era Falcoln based Ranchero on a car carrier headed north on Ohio 315. Could not get a good look at it to determine exact year. #2. On a load of crushed cars...sadly...what looked like a 1950s era finned Mopar. 4 doors...but was on back stack of cars...could not get a look at the front. Looked like it had either been restored at one point or extremely well kept original. Not sure if wrecked or stripped for parts or...? #3. Eighties era Rolls Royce...just out cruising. #4. New Jetta R...in an Orange color. Looked good...could see myself buying one.
  6. ...and ungodly repairs... I agree. I bought a fully loaded R line Beetle that stickered at like 33K for 16K two years old with 15K miles. Are we talking about the midsize thing...cancelling the CT6....or building the bland XT6. All three of them are mistakes IMHO.
  7. ...and the company he works for. Just because I have been more civil lately...really doesn't mean I have any real love for Ford. That BMW is hideous. I am really starting to default back to European and Asian cars. GTR and 911 GT3 excite me as an enthusiast. Blazer is cool but in the end hard to see it as more than a tarted up Traverse.
  8. True. still....waiting to see that happen. Elon is not going to want to mess with the UAW.
  9. Possibly. There will be enormous pressure for it to be a UAW facility. Tesla has enough problems of their own.
  10. The Chinese own everything else, why not.
  11. I would agree. One thing I love about Subaru. Freedom of choice is an American distinction....as are free markets. Without free markets, domestic products would become lame. Would you like a Cadillac CTS built on a Chevrolet Lumina platform with a 3 speed auto and three color choices? I could care less what the rest of the country, or world does....or what they buy . 12. I actually like DeWine, i think he might be a decent governor for us. No other automaker will buy it because they won't want to deal with the UAW....and I can't really blame them.
  13. A lot of money just sitting here....
  14. My daughter hitting 177 Miles per hour in a 911 GT3 at a Las Vegas Exotics experience. I guess all that autocross time paid off for her... Depends on the woman.
  15. Lets see what colors it is offered in.
  16. I actually kin d of like it.
  17. My first reaction was strongly negative....but the more I look at it the more I like it.
  18. For Drew...PRR Action!
  19. In a relative sense....yes...50's and 60's iron is better. Compared to the Kia Sedona we had as a rental for our Michigan Debate trip...that Riviera is a Bugatti or a Bentley by comparison.
  20. I saw one in red with a white top...ratty...think it might have been the Shelby version....but very clapped out. On the same trip to Michigan where I saw the 58 Ranchero.
  21. I really love cars of this era. About 45 seconds in...pretty brutal....looks like a lot of cars got damaged or destroyed on these car hauling rail cars...wonder how the OEMS and insurance companies deal with that...
  22. Status being the biggest reason IMHO.
