Best thing I have seen all day. More cars, less politics. I am like you in that I have zero use for most of the political pundits on the American news cycle. Ben Shapiro and Rachel Maddow can both take a long walk off of a short pier IMHO. Now...back to cars. and football...dammit if the cowboys aren't starting to rather sadly acquit themselves. And i will grant you the Taurus SHO is awesome.

GM News: Mark Reuss Takes On Role of President of GM
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
It's a crying shame you don't have children. Someone five hundred years in the future could get a kick out of watching your descendants whine and moan about how electric wheeled cars are being replaced with fission powered Jetsonesque flying cars. And my electric powered stationary tools in my workshop would like a word with you about nothing electric powered having personality.- 57 replies

December 2018: Ford Motor Company

Ohhhhh it is anything but. Forty two grand to buy it and a note on the beetle with several months left on it stand in the way. CPO...would love to find one in a few years. -

I really love Jeep. Were I to be buying an SUV...Jeep it would be. Explorer and Escape are decent products also in their segment. We really do.- 57 replies

December 2018: Ford Motor Company

Ohhhhh...I am very very aware. And it is hot enough to overcome all of my dark feelings about Ford. Passed one in traffic...maroon...coming home last night. That and the Fiesta ST are the high points of their car lineup for me. I was saying might have been interesting in my driveway. -

Even given my animosity towards Ford...i cannot help but like the navigator and aviator both. Good designs, hope they do well with both. Will miss the Fiesta ST when it goes away. -

I really love their current design language...! Buick and Volvo are building some great cars...both of them... -
Excellent...I really like the Jeep lineup and am ecstatic that you have had a positive experience.

December 2018: Subaru of America
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Actually their sedans are taking less of a hit than some others...and glad to see these folks do well. I love Subaru. -
In all honesty what modern car is worth converting? I could see an F body just for the heck of it...but no advantage of converting say a 2016 Impala to EV. EV seems best when designed from the ground up.

Quick Drive: 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport Q4

I agree. Although I like this design better than say the sport sedans of Acura and infinity...taking risks for them did not pay off at all.- 14 replies

Getting back to the V8 in question...nothing earth shattering but nice performance numbers. Curious to see what GM does with the C8...I really like the C7.

I wonder about crazy things all of the time...probably why you are sane and I am a bit insane...

I am saying there will be additional potential left untapped when ICE is eventually replaced with electric

I think the day of full electrics is a good bit off. And yes...in many ways FCA is their own worst enemy.- 14 replies

Pensy T1 was a steam engine that never really lived up to its full potential because diesel came on the scene so fast post WWII. There is a trust trying to re create one... https://prrt1steamlocomotivetrust.org/ I could see in 40 or 50 years people looking back at this small black the same way...never really lived up t0o its potential because electric came on the scene.

Always fun working on your own ride... Love the vintage action! Granted it is just plastic but I still really love 53 to 56 Ford Trucks....

You may well be right. Still...were I to buy a car of this caliber/type...currently a huge fan of German iron. Time will tell what they come out with.
