  1. I can't fault Blu too much for hating electric cars. You love what you love and hate what you hate. I buy my daughter dinner every time she writes off a Ford motor company product. She is writing off an F150 in the morning and we are taking my oldest son with us for Mexican food later this week. If the estimate comes back high on the Mustang she just got a claim on we are doing seafood this weekend. I gave her a ration of crap for writing off a 2016 Silverado and a 2017 Cruze...so she offered to buy me a couple of meals since I had bought her so many. We may be going Dutch to celebrate the demise of a Honda Accord...bad drivers are helping my relationship with my daughter but hurting my diet. Love the seventies Firebird thing!
  2. I thought you would comment on the electric car thing...I do not wish you dead...
  3. He never owns cars long enough to hear more than about a dozen songs on the radio...Corvair was longer ownership than most because it was AM only radio. It's Miller time apparently. Thought of you today...learned about a local mechanic killed working on a hybrid when he didn't take proper precautions.
  4. Catholic Morning Coffee...... Four old Catholic men and a Catholic woman were having coffee in St. Peters Square. The first Catholic man tells his friends, "My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'." The second Catholic man chirps, "My son is a Bishop. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Grace'." The third Catholic gent says, "My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone bows their head and says 'Your Eminence The fourth Catholic man says very proudly, "My son is the Pope. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Holiness'." Since the lone Catholic woman was sipping her coffee in silence, The four men give her a subtle, "Well....?" She proudly replies, I have a daughter, SLIM & TALL, 40 D BUST, 24" WAIST and 34" HIPS! When she walks into a room, people say, 'JESUS!'
  5. ...until you are like me and discover wood working and have two expensive hobbies....
  6. Owning a house will pay off long term for you I am sure.
  7. Yeah...I am impressed with this one.
  8. For me, nothing original or interesting here. 27k, new-GTI 34K new-WRX Premium 27K used-the nicest F150 I can buy with the lowest miles....half ton 4 x 4. 34K used....slightly nicer F150.
  9. My oldest sons girlfriends parents bought one and paid cash for it....she pretty much refuses to ride in it...
  10. Actually Dfelt had a van with bald tires, i had bed bugs and a gang member in a hotel threatening havoc...I am going to get intimately comfortable with my couch when i get home. Although my middle daughter just texted me that my cat is bleeding from the mouth so i may be going to the Veterinary ER room
  11. Unhinged rather than over wound might be a more accurate articulation.
  12. I have seen a bunch of original NSX on the highways in the last few days. Actually I love Columbus. Here in Indiana today...clear sunny and cold. Impressed you still have that thing on the road.
  13. It is the end result of 50 years of not giving a rats arse by the American population. As miserable as that thing has made you I would think crushing it is cathartic. I live a life like this. Out of town with the college debate team I coach. Bedbugs last night and Police in the lobby this morning due to violent threats from a gang member. At least we made it into the semi final round.
  14. Your argument is non unique. People were doing that in the early 1970s when I first started to get interested in cars. Sadly threatening legal action is the only way to get people to change some times.
  15. I was thinking dollar for dollar buying it with my own money rather than as a gift. We're I to spend eighty grand on a car...it would not be either.
  16. Coffee and tools are my two vices. In a weekend rental of an escape titanium and have to admit I like everything other than the Fuel economy. 24 mpg on flat terrain vs 31 on hilly terrain out of the Rouge we had three weeks ago. Nice looking vehicle that rides and drives very well.
  17. I just had to needle everyone a bit... And yes, I would take a Subaru over a Benz.
  18. I loved both from that era. A G8 with a full line up including convertible and Ute truck...yeah!
  19. My father does something like that in his coffee.
  20. The Pontiacs are as indistinguishable as the bodily fluids contained upon their seats. I stand corrected!
  21. Which still puts them slower than the 4 cyl WRX STI that set the record at the Isle of Man... Yes, it is a dedicated race car...but there is still a 4 cyl Subaru on the planet faster than that Corvette...Fantastic times we live in!
  22. That is some sexy stuff...I wonder if i can park that in my garage next to my Trabant and start another dream car thread... This is why I like C and G...we talk about human fluids and a Grand Am...two things that seem to go well together. Not very long at all...
