  1. Crossover would help immensely also.
  2. And yet Malibu is hampered by the 1.5...noticed even by my wife when we were looking at cars. 2.0 only with top trim. Agree with needing more than the 2.0 in a Luxury car over 3500 lbs.
  3. Sales are up for VW, impressive given their lack of a competitive crossover. Would personally take a Jetta over most of the competition.
  4. I assumed he was speaking of Cmicasa. Standard of the world is pushing it in any case. The world is moving on, and not just in terms of Cadillac.
  5. Here in Ohio I see the same thing in regards to the V. E class is indeed an amazing car...I will give you that. Camry off peak is loss of sedan sales in general. Also, if anything, Hyundai and Kia are picking up Toyota buyers, probably much more so than GM.
  6. As much as I like Turbo 4 cylinder motors in small cars, it seems a bit of a stretch for a midsize SUV though.
  7. Interesting, did not know the change had been that profound. Good to know, thanks!
  8. Enjoying your response will be a nice part of my weekend... enjoy your son's game!
  9. In Ohio we think of vehicles as biodegradable and self recycling...it is a feature rather than a fault...
  10. We will see how all of this plays out.
  11. I so want a diesel full size truck at some point... One born every minute... Still a real bargain. As Camino always used to say, the rolling junk yards of Ohio.
  12. ...and that is exactly the point...Escalade probably is better for you actually. Indeed!
  13. Our population density is a lot less here in the states. not even close. Paris has twice the population density of New York City, and Paris is not even the most densely populated city in Europe. There is a reason why the Fiesta is the most popular car in England... You know that last cat must be named Bill Clinton...because he did not inhale... Big orange cat looks like my cat Oliver... Intermittent wipers...the other cat... My daughter the other day was telling me the story of how they were developed... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Kearns Unique story! An electron future indeed!
  14. #6, Nissan GTR #5, F type #4, 911 #3, Jeep Grand Cherokee... Last two are a mystery no one here will be able to figure out...a small two seat roadster built in the city where the first atomic bomb was dropped...and a car maybe known only by Wolfsburg-Golf-Tango-india
  15. I have another challenging Dream car garage to post or two...but for today the easiest one yet. Only limitation for all ten is that you must be able to walk into your state/province DMV and register it legally. First 3-New 2017 cars you would buy, less than 50 grand... Next 3-New 2017 cars you would buy, 50 grand to 125 grand... Next 3-used cars you would buy, any market any era, just must be street legal. that is it-although i would like to see different cars than we usually post up. Challenger and Raptor ahve had a lot of exposure in dream car garage, looking for whatever else you all can come up with. Last car-#10-Anything street legal on the planet that you can register at your local DMV, but in honor of everyone who participated in our wonderful July 4th dream car garage threads, car # 10 must be red, white, or blue. Enjoy! My #10, SST Javelin; #9, Alfa Romeo Montreal #8-1962 Lincoln Convertible #7-I need something comfortable, 1996 Buick Raodmaster wagon
  16. Having spent way to much time and hundreds of thousands of miles with the V6 motors in question...I would up vote this by a thousand if I could...
  17. The Zagato takes the thread...! Indeed...but learning about the Zagato makes the thread worthwhile...wow!
  18. ...or at least the car, not merely its image with a small group of people? I would define being wealthy as being able to live life on ones own terms, and would argue that is different for every wealthy person. i could see being very wealthy, living in Manhattan, owning no car...being very wealthy, owning a ranch, and driving a basic ford F series...being very wealthy, living in Monaco and driving a Bugatti Veyron...being very wealthy, keeping a modest house in the Midwest and driving an XT5...being very wealthy, driving a vintage Mercedees 280 convertible and living in Palm springs... ...I also drive through some less affluent parts of town on a regular basis and see older used Benz, Cadillac, Lincoln, Lexus and the like languishing on used car lots with faded signs on the windshields...
