  1. Keep us posted, dude!
  2. El Camino is fantastic, the Buick is just to die for wonderful...thank you both!
  3. Thinking a closed car like that is in my future...my friend just got 33.7 on a 2003 Focus SVT over the road on a trip, which is better than the Miata gets. Since Ford may be soon out of the question, I really am looking more at a Cruze.
  4. Old Triumph Stag... But we'd better get back to the 38 Dodge before we hijack your thread...
  5. Just random stuff from the interweb....
  6. Tocay at the pic and pull
  7. Taken at SCCA runoffs by someone on another forum...
  8. When ever I get interested in buying a British car, I will usually have a British car guy say something like...."If your not already addicted, stay far, far away." I was around British sports cars as a kid, and miss them. But I don't miss the way they break down...or the massive self ignited roman candle that my friend Chip's MGB became in his driveway...
  9. Worst cvar foire I ever saw was a Daytona prototype burn up ad Mid Ohio....they forgot to kill the electrical switch after it caught fire in an accident...so the fuel pump kept going....and dumped sixty gallons of high octane racing fuel between turns one and three. The largest part of what was left of that car rode home in the front seat of my Astro van....it wasn't a real big piece...
  10. Nice looking car....too bad you can't add it to your fleet....
  11. Sorry, wouldn't post, posted three times, and then wouldn't delete... Corvair needing love made me think of OCNBLU... Rolls just rolling out from a resto.... Sad older BMW six series in need of some love...actually a parts car... The stalled 911 project next to the BMW.... Older Benz in for some service... My car from the rear...it was within $100 of being a total, but the frame was unbent and the car is still as straight actually as the day it left Hiroshima... ...and yes the top needs some love...getting that fixed with everything else... 64 Cadillac ragtop in the front left hand corner....a blue 59 two door hardtop and a couple of other sixties caddies are hanging around on site...the crew that just got done with the rolls is getting ready to give the Monte Carlo SS some real love and TLC, should be fantastic when its done... Both have small block Ford power...and a separate continent of origin... E type Jag in final states of paint prep.... Dune buggy project and a Benz 190 project car....can you see where I love this place? Dark Green GTO awaits a little re clothing before he meets the jury... One last one of the Miata...it's in good hands, I think./..I'll post more pics later. Car I really wanted to show everyone was the 70 1/2 LT1 Red Z28 camaro that is undergoing a nut and bolt concourse resto....but my camera ate the pics some how.
  12. In for a little cleanup and detailing... This Malibu got smacked right after the bu came out...been sitting there awhile...sad to see a brand new car wrecked and just decaying... Cadillac Ragtop in for a full repspray...will be a neat car when its done... Nice older 5 series BMW getting some love...
  13. Agree on how fe people check air pressure... And I saw a blue Solstice GXP coupe/Targa this ayem....drove by too quickly for me to get a snapshot...but...awesome. ...and as afar as future GM iron, I actually like the idea of a Cobalt SS Turbocharged better....
  14. I keep lusting after British cars, but am spoiled by "modern" reliability. I'd love to own a triumph TR3...or and MGB...
  15. Which is why I enjoy autocrossing with a 5 speed rather than a six speed Miata...the ratios work out better. it tops out at about 62 in second, which is plenty fast for an autocross....but I do hit third once in awhile...
  16. Because GM doesn't want to build one transmission for enthusiasts and one for people like Z06 and myself who beat on their crs. Nothing says you can't shifutmn l,kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkfrom third to seventh... Sorry, cat got on the computer...
  17. Those were a decently sized small car, wish GM had gotten more of the details right with those!
  18. Hate to say it, but experiences like this are why I now play with modern sports cars. My two cents....
  19. Lots of people burned the midnight oil on this one...the 747 almost bankrupted Boeing, as did this beast. But this gives me faith in the USA at a time I badly need it...sweet story!
  20. Already looking into them...plus they can run Rally's and Rallycross with the best of them Central Ohio Rally Club anyone? Already acquired a winter car...found a screaming deal on a decent clean white Astro cargo van...perfect for side work...hauling lumber (I enjoy wood working)...would tow a camper...or a Formula Vee or a Caterham Seven or another light competition style car quite well... Methinks a Miata, Solstice, Vette or other RWD car in the garage of stang is pretty much a sure bet. I've been without a RWD ar for four months of my 31 years of driving....so...RWD ain't goin nowhere! Amazing how many SUV's and FWD cars you see off in the snow...doesn't matter if it's Atlanta or Ann Arbor...the result seems to b e the same...
  21. Doing donuts in the winter in RWD cars is probably why I autocross today...just never got over the thrill of the ass end swinging around... The car that is....not mine...
