  1. I wouldn't say that you talk too much...however...if you turned the drivers seat backward in the wagon... Then perhaps all that hot air would be an extra ten miles per gallon and an extra ten miles an hour! J/K and congrats on 20K posts!
  2. While I don't mind some Japanese cars, I really don't like the ricer boys. Poetry in motion indeed!
  3. I would like to know how much of a difference "loading it down for a trip" makes on fuel economy and driveability. Esp. through someplace like hilly PA...as in off of the turnpike. Also, would like to know if there are any smoothness issues with cold weather start up. Chris
  4. Look at the bright side, at least you weren't driving your new Toyota Avalon... (Stang Ducks) Seriously...someone ran into my car last summer and just drove off... Sorry to see this happen to the Caddy!
  5. I wish more people knew what most of the gay people here in Columbus are like. most of them a re rather normal people and nothing like the people on queer as folk. Then again, I know lots of twentysomething females that are nothing like "The Girls Next Door" Chris
  6. Interesting olds...as the father of two boys myself...I can tell you that the younger is much more "feminine" than the older. kind of always wondered why...that video had a neat logical explanation. Not aying my younger son is gay, he is only 11...but you never know. Chris
  7. Olds, you might mention that the Ecotech I-4 won a Wards Ten Best as a motor... The Ecotech is one hell of a powerplant and I am really curious about what you end up thinking...
  8. Well loki if you think about it...since he was bent over while he was shoveling...he did take twelve inches bent over for about two hours. No wonder he keeps posting those little smiley faces!
  9. Keep us posted on the truck, 'blu. Chris
  10. I do think your on the right track for the write up. Were I to be a car buyer interested in this, your review would be FAR more helpful than the usual Car and Driver/Consumer Reports drivel of..."it's new this year...fuel econ could be better...we give it three and a half stars..."
  11. Good question...from the photograph the center stack looks very logical compared to a lot of cars. Chris
  12. Again, great write up. It would be interesting to also test a 4 cyl. version for fuel economy and power. Sounds like the V6 was a sweetheart of a powerplant! MUCH nicer IMHO than the Nissan Murano. Chris
  13. Quite possibly. Maybe I should have said openly gay construction workers that I know...
  14. Glad the ROPOS is holding out. Chris
  15. Being in the whole construction thing myself, I can say that there are not a whole lot of gay construction workers. Used to know a guy named Steve who was a hell of a nice guy and Gay. He was a damn fine plumber as well. Chris
  16. No melancholoy allowed for you son! Peee-Ayyy is one of the most beautiful states in the Union. A little bit of snow right now is a small price to pay for living where you live. No go read a good book or enjoy being inside for awhile... The Jews have a toast "this time next year in Jerusalem" For you...this time next year with a Colorado!
  17. Sometimes automotive lust is like the sexual kind that never seems to end... I love your truck! NICE SWB/Reg cab proportions...and I've always liked trucks of that era. If I wasn't so worried about the price of fuel and the crapola in the middle east I'd be buying one as a third vehicle. Hell, I still might. Your Ford was a damn fine looking truck, but this IMHO is much better looking. Chris
  18. I don't think warp drive will save us, my friend! Chris
  19. Couple of things. 1. Are we still talking about Hershy in Jan or Feb? 2. Dave87rs, Z06 and I are talking about a Dee-Troit get together...anyone else up for getting together in the motor city? 3. Oldsmoboi has talked about Lordstown and other plant tours, etc...do we know a when and where yet? 4. Anyone in Ohio of thereabouts interested in Columbus or Dayton or something and just getting together for Pizza or Chinese or a movie or something fun? 5. Here is an Idea... a lot of guys live way out east. Perhaps we could set a date in Aug or so for a bunch of us to get together? Philly or Long Island or something? Chris
  20. So I've got this guy I know from the TDI Club named Jess that came to our club dinner last night. Jess is into TDI's and Miatas, so we get along pretty well. What's impressive about Jess is his job-he collects eyes from human donors for transplant. Interesting full time job... And Jess's TDI Golf is a quick little car, but it's neither stock nor EPA legal. In fact, given the right conditions (AC, downshift, full throttle) it will create about as much soot as a good coal fired Chinese power plant. Anyhow...one day Jess is out and about in his TDI Golf going to put a set of eyes on ice. He's going about 70 passing a semi going 65 when a nearly new Camry rolls up on his back bumper. Guy is so close you can't see the front plate on the Camry, flashing his lights, giving Jess the finger waving his fist, honking and in general being a complete asshat. ...so Jess downshifts, drops the AC on, and puts the loud pedal to the floor. HUGE cloud of black smoke...can barely see the Camry in the rearview. Guy in the Camry STANDS on the brakes with this OH $h!OH$h!OH$h! look on his face. The ABS in the Camry doesn't kick in, all 4 tires lock and now there is a huge cloud of white tire smoke to go with the black soot. Trucker in the Kenworth is just LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF and gives Jess a huge thumbs up. Camry driver comes back by, the thumpthumpthumpthump of four badly flat spotted tires to loud to ignore. Goes past Jess and won't even look at him. While I don't "Condone" road rage, I find the story funny as hell. Chris
  21. Given the rise of idiots here in the west and fundamentalism in the middle east, give it time. We may well kill ourselves off yet. Chris
  22. I'm actually glad for that. I'll be happy when our whole nation can get over this whole homophobia thing.
  23. GM/Chevy FTW! Glad he's warm and safe in his garage...
