  1. Believe it or not to me the new Mustang is the least appealing of the Pony Cars. Chris
  2. IIRC it's like 85% or so automatic. Wife wanted a manual Fit last year (thankfully we decided against that) and Manual fits were really hard to find. Esp. the "Sport" model of the Fit in manual. Chris
  3. Did the Tranny and the rear diff in the Miata, the motor ran so much better with synthetic. At the rate we are going, DF's Intrepid will be around in 85 years if he runs the stuff. Too bad he (probably) won't still be around to enjoy it. Love synthetic. Chris
  4. A Suburban or a 15 passenger van. He'd need to haul around his disciples. Chris
  5. Sweet car and congrats! Chris
  6. I love my sushi spicy also. Good sushi is hard to find. Chris
  7. My best friend from high school, Andy, and I both married girls born the same day and the same time. His wife was born in San Fransisco, mine was born in New York. How cool is that? My middle daughter was born June 1, two years later on June 2 my younger son was born. My Wife's uncle Pete and aunt Judy were born same day same time one year apart. My brother in law was born the day that his maternal "grandmother in law" died. Which isn't so strange...but my other brother in law was born the same day his maternal "grandmother in law" died. Wierd. True. Once worked with a guy who had three kids, all born on the same day, same month, different years. Interesting, eh?
  8. Not everyone wants a GTO...nor a car that gets 14 mpg. And a used Fit is probably more reliable than a new MINI. The MINI's that are available cheap tend to be 2002-2004, when BMW was still sorting them out. Not every one wants a used car. Different strokes for different folks. Chris
  9. Neat looking trailer... Chris
  10. Awesome.... Chris
  11. Saw a few neat old cars out over the weekend... Gray olds Tornado, 66-67ish... Shelby 350 (or damn nice clone) 65 68 Firebird Convertible, pro touring style, platinum in color, awesome Original BMC style Mini... Chris
  12. You have opviously never driven in Atlanta or Miami have you :AH-HA_wink: But then I have never driven in Quebec... Chris
  13. Consider me an outcast with a Hawaiian shirt and a palm tree in the yard... But I like the Florida option best of all. Chris
  14. http://forum.ohioscions.com/showthread.php?t=11766 You may have to register to view, subject is in the "parking lot" area of the forum. Topic is NSFW OS members and their dirty secrets Here in Ohio, perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever seen on an internet forum. 21 year old woman puts nude photographs of herself on the net, puts a link to the pics on the automotive forum sig line, and then gets mad at guys for looking at/enjoying the pics. Interesting discussion follows. Methinks maybe a few of these people will need to upgrade to an Avalon to be able to watch Jerry Springer! I'm not making fun of all Toyota/Scion owners, but this one is none too bright. Hope the link works... Chris
  15. Delco filters are really good, I've run them on every GM car that I have owned... Chris
  16. I don't think that was reg, unless it was his sock puppet. Chris
  17. Depends. If you were a 23 year old just out of college with your first job and needed reliable wheels the Fit would work out great. Esp. if you lived in an urban area... Esp. if you were perhaps female... And esp. if you didn't want to drive a Yaris or Versa or some other crap box. Chris
  18. Bingo. The Fit is the quality of the small car GM should have been building all along. Methinks things will get interesting with the Focus and the Fiesta.
  19. It's more than just the drive, my friend. I admitted the Genesis Sedan and Coupe are both great cars, I just like the CTS better. That being said, again the Genesis is leaps ahead of the Amanti. Hyundai is becoming a company to be reckoned with. Chris
  20. GM'slegacy costs over a thirty year period are what killed them. Every $ they had to spend on bennies and so forth above a reasonable level was a $ they could ahve spent on product or R and D or plants. It's not like GM had bafoons running it. GM could make money with Hyundai's cost structure. But I will give you that Hyundai has very good management. We just can't say that all GM management are dunces and all Hyundai management are geniuses. Chris
  21. No Fram junk for me! Chris
  22. Today I am going through the Miata, probably bleed the brakes, lube the hinges, check the chasis bolts, do a manual trany gear oil change, change the oil in the diff, and replace a burnd out headlamp. Wife's car get's a good cleaning and the gear oil changed in its manual. Chris
  23. No, I can't either. Unless we add the possible cause of demons or fairys or some other bs that makes no rational sense. Even running the car into a concrete divider at an angle under heavy braking would have eventually slowed the car down or damaged it enough that it wouldn't prograss forward. Chris
  24. Hyundai doesn't have GM or Chryslers legacy costs or older plants or other issues. Once again, WTF is your point? Chris
