  1. I'd like to get a fat check. No but, I guess I'm old school. I have a bookmark set for the forums page and I just go up and down the whole page, all the way to the bottom.
  2. siegen, don't you know, that's part of the beauty of Corvette. Technologically, it is an exotic car at a (nearly) everyman price. Brilliant. However, I am interested in hearing why FOG thinks the NSX was a loser, first time I've heard that adjective attached to that car.

  5. I wonder if there is someone in America, psychotically dedicated to this model name, and finally able to trade in that old Rambler.

  7. Quality is an inherent trait in GM trucks. They prove themselves day in and day out, year after year.
  8. Looks godawful cheap, much like every other Daewoo rebadge. Thin sheetmetal with poor corrosion protection are hallmarks. Junk from stem to stern.
  9. I think the nav screen lovers here have told on themselves by saying the screen "jazzes up the look of the interior". They don't mention a functionality benefit, because they know the screen actually detracts from the functionality of the car by being a distraction to the business of driving. A useless, unsafe $2000 gadget to impress onlookers is all a nav screen is. For those who are lost, OnStar turn-by-turn is a much friendlier, safer, useful system.
  10. Oh, I thought it had something to do with giving your postman a gift. I wonder where I got that idear from.

    BURGERS

I've discovered that loosely packing your patties is the secret to a delectable burger. I use 93/7 burger, and mix it with a bit of worcestershire and extra virgin olive earl. I also sprinkle in some dried onion flakes, they soften up when mixed and add a nice flavor when chowing down. A nice, toasted bun, mustard, ketchup and fresh relish made with sweet pickles and jalepenos, along with good cheese. YUM. You make me hungry, reg. It's a good thing I just got back from Mom's, where we had pork and chicken roasted together with sauerkraut, apple slices and onion, or I'd be putting some clothes back on and heading out to the grocery store.
  12. The Eagle ("transmogrify"? California Bob, I spelled it right. You know, I could have been pompous and put "look it up!" in that post like you've done in this thread.) :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Cheers to bobo for successfully and succinctly summing up another year at our favorite automotive website. Thank you, kind sir!
  14. one glass of merlot mixed with ginger ale and fresh made orange juice. It wasn't bad, kinda foamy.
  15. barely audible/Happy New Year to everyone at C&G/slurred Just kidding, one glass of "sangria" for me and I was in bed by 9:30. I hope everyone is safe this morning.
  16. Agreed, Mustang. BTW, that sweet little Malibu in your sig seems to have a '78 front end and '80 taillights. I still love it though.

  21. Two cute young cops on the beat in their trusty Mopar police cruiser. Yes, a TV show. on topic: Lumina APV
  22. Yes sir, I have. If they junked the Nassau body, took its engine and drivetrain and stuffed it into the Airflite, they'd have one sweet Mopar.
  23. Well, to cap off the year, I took a little drive today and did some lot cruising. I was looking at a $34k Edge when a British Racing Green Triumph TR8 came rolling onto the lot, little aluminum Buick V8 burbling like a champ. In great shape the car was, and I had to compliment the driver (an older guy) on it. Funny thing, he didn't know the engine is aluminum. I thought that odd since I figured only real motorheads would keep a car like that on the road. Then, and this is weird... I saw a TR7 the same color in crappy condition driving in a different part of town. Oh, and a bronze '77 Malibu (base, no Classic) coupe with a blue door. Oh, and a '78 Cutlass Supreme coupe, dark blue lightly optioned, in the grocery store parking lot. Still kicking when any Japanese car of that vintage has long since rotted away.
  24. So ok, the newest Car & Driver magazine (with Vipers on the cover) has an article about a "beater" endurance race. The object was to purchase a car with an upper price limit of $500 and race it, beat it and bang it into the junkyard, just for fun, on a dirt track. The guys at C&D found a first-gen Aurora with 174k miles on it and body damage as their entry. While they make some positive comments ("...testing the old maxim that GM cars can run bad longer than some cars run at all"), some of the photos are horrifying. This article has some parallels to the "old diesel road trip" article from a few months back, in which a 5.7 Olds won. Check it out, Olds fans.
  25. One Adam-12, one Adam-12... (some of you tykes might not know WTH I'm talking about)
