    Awww... :AH-HA_wink:
  3. "Clueless much, hotchili?" :AH-HA_wink: This is a great thread. More, please!
  4. If a guy on The Price is Right wins a 1974 Gremlin and jumps up and down, does that mean he's gay?
  5. I think Mr. Dart got more than he bargained for in this thread. I know I did! :AH-HA_wink:
  6. plaque (no bite from me on "manhole", I don't want to get bit back unnecessarily simply for responding to the invitation.)
  7. I am a current, satisfied owner of a 2004 Colorado. I voted "Strongly Agree", this should be the 2008 Colorado, with some minor revisions for production. For example, the fenders and bedsides should be normal width (they are widened for the show truck-size tires), the rear bumper should be a separate piece like the current truck, instead of molded in, and the front end should be similar to the concept, but made practical for production. And this is the first time I've said this... but since the 5.3 with AFM is rated for the same gas mileage in the 900s as the 3.7L 5 in this year's 355s, it should be an option. 4, 5 and 8 cylinder engine options would be a competitive advantage for the 355s.
  8. C&G, you look better than ever, thanks to some dedicated individuals.

  10. Oh, thanks so much Croc, I really dint want to see OJ naked. Oh, my eyeballs!
  11. How about this: think of concept vehicles as "slingshots". The purpose of a concept vehicle is to push the design envelope, to shock the onlooker, to polarize public opinion. Then, for production, the final design is brought back from the extreme just enough to appeal to more people on both sides of the fence. The first glimpse has to be a shock to gain attention and force an emotional response. I am remembering an S-10 concept truck, painted chartreuse and black, that previewed the new-for-1994 production truck. It was wild, eliciting much the same passionate response as this Colorado concept. Then the design was tempered for the assembly line. This is just one example, as just about every concept vehicle is used for this purpose. Concept vehicles are useful tools for manufacturers to advance their design language and make something "new" stick in the public's mind, but they're almost always made more "sane" for production.
  12. 1971 Buick Riviera with MaxTrac... electronic traction control!
  13. When I was a kid, my grandfather milked Bessie every morning, a Guernsey cow. She was a gentle old girl. We put her milk through a strainer and stuck it in the fridge, had to shake it up to drink it. That stuff was rich. Now, I'm the opposite. I drink skim, anything else tastes "thick" and a little disgusting.
  14. Damn you, Mr. Jacket. I could sit and read these all frickin' night. :AH-HA_wink:
  15. I went as a streaker. I think it backfired. I didn't get any candy. Mostly people just laughed then slammed the door on my... finger.
  16. Nah, that was a lame reference to Subaru's shortlived "retro SAAB" face, as seen on the B9 Tribeca, and in a toned-down form on the Impreza. I understand that with GM's divestiture, Subaru has abandoned that style.
  17. 04monte, you know the story of milk, right? Raw milk right out of the cow, if left to sit in the fridge, has fatty cream that separates and rises to the top of the bottle. To make skim milk, all the cream is "skimmed" off the top, taking the fat with it. Homogenization is a process where the cream is kept from separating, so you don't have to shake it to mix it together. 2%, etc., milk has a percentage of cream left in the milk. Skim milk is not made by adding water to whole milk.
  18. Nos, has your Birthday Cake gig fallen by the wayside?
  19. Eww... Velveeta $h!, sounds like a personal problem.
  20. That's pretty neat, and the new engine sounds strong.
  21. You've gotta be kidding... that's an early Subaru! :AH-HA_wink: Ha, but yeah, that is a classic SAAB, for sure.
  22. I like the Concept 1 car the best.
  23. It's very unusual to see a radiator behind the engine. Must have a serious cowl vent situation. That's what made me think it was a rear-engine car, because of airflow concerns... it seems with engine heat blowing back onto the radiator it would be that much harder to engineer an effective cooling system. Once this is settled, James, could you please post more pictures of this little beast?
  24. I really like the Lucerne, but the Aura XR in gray with Morocco leather is such a tasty combination... and of course the 252 horse 3.6 and six speed combo are the latest thing.
  25. A minor child's pregnancy is certainly a health concern, physical, mental, and emotional. It is inconceivable to me that this would not be something major enough to notify parents about. "Abusive parents" can be dealt with outside of this. Parents need to know what is going on with their children, especially while they are still under age and living at home. This is a situation where counseling is warranted for the child and her parents to make a healthy decision. It affects all aspects of the girl's life from that moment on.
