  1. Read the second sentence in Paulie's post. Starting with the first word, it infers he's talking about staff.
  2. *Reliability *Fuel mileage, Ram has notoriously poor gas mileage *Manageable size *Easier ingress/egress, lower step-in *Rear drum brakes are more economical and have proven more reliable in pickups Also, are you pricing a Ram Quad Cab (extended cab) to a Silverado Crew Cab? Big difference. The Chevy has a fullsize backseat with 4 fullsize doors, Quad Cab has 2 little doors in back. Further, which trim level are you pricing out? You mention Silverado 1WT, is your dad looking for a bare-bones truck? What trim level is the Ram you priced?
  3. I'm just guessing, but... I think Paulie was talking about staff, not students.
  4. Dinah Shore
  5. (Adjusting my monitor.) hmmm... (Adjusting my glasses.) uh.... (Squinting.) Nice. Thanks, AR2005!
  6. Yeah, and when I say "coupe", I mean it has to be a hatch. Way cool.
  7. Reading "Are all the pages stuck together yet?", then seeing Mark Foley in Satty's sig sorta makes me feel a bit uneasy. I swear, some of the stuff that passes for "straight" these days surely blurs the line. A quick scan of the ESPN cover proves my point. Every one of the blurbs is ripe for the picking. "Our biggest issue ever!" (been saving up?) "Duke Struggles to Recover" (wait 20 minutes) "Shock Therapy!" (uh, ew, no thanks, that video was gross) "Righting the Vikings Ship" (let's switch positions, Bjorn) "Countdown to the Manning Bowl" (speaks for itself) "Scouts Inc on all 32 Teams" (these scouts get around)
  8. Well yes, they're just a bit more than ordinary now, but in 30 years, having a group like this all together will be something.
  9. deja vu
  10. Cappy, go to the wall.
  11. Typical Maaco workmanship, the hood doesn't line up to the fender!
  12. Uh, yup. :AH-HA_wink:

  14. I find the sport to be extremely irritating. The damn water wheel always trips me up.
  15. GM's tradition of building the most sanitary trucks on the market continues, and the world is better for it. America's Truck, what a perfect moniker.
  16. Wait, you don't throw like a girl, do ya Vipes?
  17. Well ew.

    Wimpy Horn

That was one of the fun things about driving a Beetle, the horn on a VW sounds like a big-car horn.
  19. Agreed, this is probably the furthest I can take it, too.
  20. A lot of things are invented here, then copied and refined elsewhere, especially Japan.

    Help!

Hmmm... it definitely looks like a '55 in the movie poster. I tried my local Blockbuster last night, the friendly young lesbian behind the counter gave me a quizzical look as she punched the title into her computer, to no avail. Harl, I bet you have the poster of Burt's Cosmo centerfold, don't you? :AH-HA_wink:

    Anteros

Hmmm... pretty neat. I was thinking the same thing, Harl, about independent coachbuilders. It's cool that after all these years, the Corvette still inspires people to dream.

    GM at SEMA 2006

That blue 427 Silverado is gonna be killer, and the OCC is cool too. I hope someone from here can go and get some good pictures this year.
  24. Viper, have you been to visit your mom at work? Is it possible for you to maybe go in there and pick her up to go out to lunch or something? If her coworkers have never seen you, it might help her if you show your face... just act clueless about the harrassment, act normal and go in there. Sometimes the immature fear and ignorance can be alleviated just by gaining a level of familiarity with the people in question. Of course, plan it with your mom first. It will work better if she knows you're coming and makes arrangements ahead of time. Her coworkers will see that you're a good, normal son and maybe this whole thing will cease to be an issue for her.
