  4. Sixty4, I am scared of the dealership service scores as compiled by JD Power. Also, the local dealer has anecdotally a poor rep for customer service. What I am not scared of is the car. I know from experience a VW is hella fun to drive, solid, durable, and in the Rabbit 3 door's case, a hell of a value. There is an impressive percentage of original Rabbits still registered, according to Autoweek. So I am undecided. I've owned 4 VWs.

  7. Very nice, control. I wonder if anyone makes a sticker with Calvin peeing on Volvo? He pees on everything else...
  8. ...and start doing some donuts. That'll keep 'er in shape! Nah, really, she's just a bigboned gal, strong and silent.

  14. Nice one, Balthy! Soon you'll be draggin' Powerstrokes and Cummins' behind you like tin cans on a wedding car.

    07 monte

I'd like to see a Monte Carlo on Zeta, but it has to be its own car, it cannot be diluted to try to "fill in" for a hole in the lineup. Camaro is the sports car, Monte Carlo is the luxury sport coupe... two different markets, allowing room for both.

YES, Camino. The current Monte Carlo has strayed too far from the original concept. The stripes are another totally incongruous element. They are doing their best to morph this current car into what will come next, even as they destroy every last vestige of what it means to be a Monte Carlo. Can you say... Chevelle?
  19. I think the original Bronco came out in '66. I'd like to see pictures of that GM concept. Seeing old prototypes and design proposals is always entertaining. Not sure what the harm was, I was hoping to hear the reason as well.
  20. Nice pictures, speedy! I love that photo effect that forces your eye to zoom in to the intended subject. Cool man.
  21. Very strong design. These trucks are typical excellent GM trucks. I also hoped the 4.3L V6 would be laid to rest for the 4.2L I-6. And I was hoping the 6 speed auto would be available at the start, with the 900 SUVs in production already. Very good differentiation between the two. I want to see the GMC SLE trim, it probably has chrome bumpers and a horizontal bar blacked-out grille. I like the fact the sheetmetal is different from the beltline down between Chevy and GMC. The interior is excellent from what I can see. I guess the nice-looking 5 spoke Chevy wheels are the 18 inchers. 20's aren't necessary for me, I guess. I hope they still make a 6 foot bed/regular cab configuration. Next step is to see the equipment levels through the different models.
  22. With all those parts unattached, it seems your job will be easier building the car the way you want it. I am sure you're grinning ear-to-ear right now. You deserve it.
  23. The rims look pretty small in diameter. It shows me that these tall-ass rims do nothing for performance, they may actually hurt it.
  24. These chops are looking good, guys. Nos, for yours, your GP, maybe stick the Solstice's fender scallop on instead of the Aussie version, and you need Ventiports on your awesome Buick. Your Chevelle is interesting... but it looks too "Euro" to be a Chevy, imho. To be totally honest, the cars are crisply tailored and look great as Holdens, but I hope they are all completely reskinned for each US division, even the Pontiacs.
