I see the Monte Carlo is available with a Rally Stripe option for '07, either black or silver. (Dual racing stripes up-and-over, and down over the trunk lid.) It is shown in the picture of the various colors available for the new year.

Just back from Chevy's "build & price" situation, and on the 2007 Cobalt SS/SC options list is the lower-profile T43 spoiler, priced at $0. I know in years past, when new model year info was first posted, it was sometimes incomplete and even wrong in spots. I'd like to know if anyone in sales can confirm this spoiler option. I'd really like to see a spoiler delete option... or make the wing a dealer-installed thing like the ION Redline, so the customer has a chance to decline it. I saw a black '07 Redline at the local dealer, and it looks so much better with the ground effects and fat tires pulling it visually to the ground, unfettered by the wing that adds unnecessary height. ALSO: I don't see the Performance Package listed... limited slip diff and Recaro seats. This would be a must-have option package for me. What gives? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Petra, just one note: the seatbacks are covered in hard plastic because you can fold the passenger side flat for loading extremely long objects. It is to provide a durable load surface.

The more I see the Compass... and now even the Patriot, the more I appreciate the 2007 Wrangler. Now that's a Jeep Thing.

Went to a fairgrounds at the lower end of the county to watch my cousin make milkshakes for a Cancer Society event. Bought a milkshake, a pulled chicken BBQ sammich and a wrinkled hot dog to show support. Woke up at 3 a.m. (like I've been doing for the last week and a half), stayed in bed and eventually went back to sleep. Did not dream of big trucks chasing little trucks.
