  2. Aww... well I hope it works like a charm, with a short transition period.
  3. The full-size trucks have to be great, even after Zeta comes on line in full force to take some of the heat off of them as personal transportation. I personally cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.
  4. Yesterday afternoon I said "Stop looking at me like that!"

    Hmm...

Now see, I'd get partway up and freeze, hugging the pole. The fire department would have to send their best looking members to peel me from the pole in their cherry picker.
  7. Has your vision recovered, bobo? I mean...a base Raider has to really hurt the peepers.
  8. Damn that thing is looking good. The new tires look like good diggers. I bet you can really kick some dirt and gravel pretty high with those.
  9. A longroof hard top Kappa variant for Chevrolet would be a sweet car, no doubt, even as a two-seater. A Solstice hatchback like the concept would be fantastic. I haven't seen anything official from GM about the feasibility of these variants. Perhaps now that the experiment has been received well, we'll see more from this platform. Pontiac, at least, needs a RWD four seater at the bottom of their lineup. Enthusiasts agree on that point. I guess the Torana concept was a car with no platform... it was never made clear to me what platform it was supposed to be on. I hope GM has the foresight to build a RWD sedan/coupe platform smaller than Zeta for the US, Australia and Europe, if not other markets. As far as I know, this thread was started to celebrate the reported fact that Kappa and Chevrolet Y-body are essentially sold out for the model year, which should be viewed as a good thing. I hope the Kappa cars become as perennial as MX-5 has become for Mazda, despite the tepid, anti-American reviews from the European press. Croc, I apologize for irritating you. Perhaps your local CVS pharmacy has some ointment for that.
  10. SAAB SportCombi. Silver. Distinctive. Kinda cool. Bermuda Blue new Tahoe on our lot. Spring Edition HHR and two Spring Edition Aveos. Spunky. There should have been a Spring Edition Colorado, with some kind of chrome wheels, special paint color and upholstery.
  11. In your opinion. Everyone, GM fans included, whined no end that the world's number one automaker built average cars for average people for way too long. Kappa has been a bright light, a sign of hope for the future under Bob Lutz. Your negative attitude toward this platform, which is clearly at least partially fueled by your opinion of Josh, cannot change the fact that it is a success, even with its pure, dedicated sportscar platform (imagine that, a sports car built on its own platform, how odd, as we all know the MX-5 has spawned a gazillion variants.)
  12. ...these words as much as I did today. I pulled up to a redlight, and in the next lane, a red Geo Metro convertible, top down, made its glorious presence known, with a little chubby nerdy dude driving it. In my heart and on my tongue were the words... "THAT THING GOT A HEMI IN IT?" I chickened out, though.
  13. I agree with the finishing order in this article. The 300 Touring, with the 3.5L V6, was the quickest in the group. As far as looks go, I'd say it's just about a wash between the two top finishers. The Lucerne is quite the looker, (I wish it had a more assertive face) imo, but the 300 is dashing and masculine, with a bit of "bad boy" attitude. If the Lucerne were RWD with the supercharged 3800 as the base engine (yes, I'm still a fan of the 3800 engine, sue me)... then the Lucerne would have finished first easily. The Ford product is a competent snoozer. Hopefully, the larger engine and facelift will change the Ford's fortunes. EDIT: Wrong Chrysler 300 thread! DUH! My opinion still stands, however.
  14. So... you got him that to keep him from snoring and waking you up?
  15. As you can tell by looking at his face, the Colorado is always in a bad mood. So no, we don't speak much.
  16. Dodgefan, I think balthy was referring to the fact it was 3 domestics... no imports, in the comparison. Like it's necessary to separate them to be fair to the domestics. I really think the comparison was for the domestic-intending customer. There are still people out there who wouldn't consider an imported car. I think that was the intended purpose of this article.
  17. That's the 5 mph bumper test photo, right? :AH-HA_wink:
  18. I'm keenly interested in this new truck. The shot here is obviously a base model, which is fine. I can't wait to see an LT interior. Thanks, Chris and C&G admins.
  19. I've been wondering the same thing for a while. Ha. Anyway, overall, Nissan is my favorite Asian car company. This new Altima is a gem. Hopefully the interior is nicer in the flesh than in the pictures.
  20. Red on the head like a di*k on a dog. Whoops. Bluejay. That's my woid.
  21. Drew, why not test drive an A3? They're pretty cool, imo, with that slightly chopped roof and typical Audi interior. Also, the 2.0 turbo is supposed to be a sweet engine. If you feel it's too small after your test drive, no big deal. Only thing I've seen though, it's very difficult to find one at the lower end of the price scale. All the ones at my local VW/Porsche/Audi dealer are loaded.
  22. Everyone likes to pick on the poor little J-body, but hey, they've traveled millions of miles over the years. They last a long time with reasonable care, hopefully the previous owners took care of it. I think it looks good in that color, and it looks like it's in decent shape. Good luck to your mom in her new ride. Seems like you take after her with your taste in cars... small, sporty 5 speeds...
  23. GMT900 Silverado shortbed regular cab 2WD with factory 20" rims. Dark blue. 5.3L AFM V8. Aftermarket intake and exhaust. Tinted windows. Wait, that's what I want. So... excellent choice!
  24. The Cardigans
  25. Wow, GMTG74, that's a gorgeous car. You'll have so much fun in that thing. I'm happy for you, you've been waiting so long.
