  2. I tried to train my pet chicken to say "cash MONEY", but all it could do was say "buck buck buck". Stupid chicken. That parrot is not stupid.
  3. That looks like a nice trip, Sixty8. Tell us again, when are you picking up a li'l hustler?
  4. We have an '07 Avalanche and we have an '07 Suburban. Both are sweet. I looked inside the Avalanche this evening and it is a stunner. The exterior is buttoned-down and well-tailored. Very business-like.

Of course that wasn't directed at you, Chicken. The frat boy it was directed toward knows who I was talking to. He's right about walking and running though, they are great ways to work out. But you have to go uphill, both ways, otherwise there's not much of a burn. And you have to step lively. After you're done, you feel like a million bucks. Drink a big glass of water beforehand, and another after.

God I cannot stand you, boy. At least the representation you present of yourself here. Your tone is so goddamned pompous it's unbelievable.
  8. Very cool, Nos. I'm proud of you!
  9. Producing a platform with too many targets dilutes its effectiveness. It wouldn't work for an Impala to be built on the Y-body.
  10. Hmmm... hey, I've been thinking. Since the Kappa platform is such a waste of money, I'd like to hear the naysayers' view on the other car mentioned at the top of this thread, Corvette. WHY haven't we heard about that blatant waste of money? I mean, that platform only supports two cars, Corvette and XLR. It's totally inflexible, and very narrowly focused. GM is STUPID for producing such a dedicated platform. I say GM should immediately stop Corvette and XLR production and set its sights on the finest car on the market today... the Toyota Camry. You guys are soo logical, and I'm sooo glad you're not running the world's number 1 automaker.

  12. Not worth much to other people... true. But to you and your family, it's more than a car. Hold onto it for as long as you want.

  14. The public's perception of these vehicles is the key. Kappa is good for GM because people love the cars. Product is going to save GM. You have to spend money to make money. Building these cars has generated goodwill. Positivity like this helps. Emotional connection helps. Kappa itself will not "save" GM, but it is an example, external and internal to GM, that they can innovate with success and produce a desirable product. There are lessons to be learned here, from the guy who considered an MX-5 but bought a Sky after seeing it, all the way up to Bob and Rick. Naysayers on this project astound me... as if GM, by some wild scenario, didn't know what they were doing when they greenlighted this special little car. This was not a 3 billion dollar project, it was done on a relative shoestring, and it was money well spent for the amount of positive press and public reaction it has received.

  18. Well, it's already dead reliable if you ask me. I've had no mechanical issues, 27 months and 33k miles into ownership... on an early, first-year vehicle. And believe me, it is not babied... it's got a nice indentation in the carpet below the gas pedal.

  23. Somehow I'm feeling that Croc's attitude on the fun, affordable, sold out Kappa platform has something to do with Josh. These cars are good for GM, even at these low volumes. The magic of desirability is precious. I say this is encouraging for those of us who wish for a smaller-than-Zeta RWD platform from GMNA for Chevy and Pontiac... that 260 hp turbo engine would sing such a sweet song in a Tempest, for example.
  24. Hmmm... a regular cab, 2WD Canyon in Sport Blue with the 18" rims and 3.7L would be a spunky little truck. I wonder if that combination will be available?
  25. A new grille, interior and wheels would have been nice. The bump in power is most welcome, I just hope it's not to the detriment of the good fuel mileage I get.
