  1. Dash, and especially the steering wheel, remind me of the new Civic. Not a flattering comparison.
  2. Aren't you glad you've got the internet, at least? You should get them back by moaning and screaming while you... take care of yourself. I wonder if they'd get the joke. Prolly not. Nevermind.
  3. Cash-rich Toyota can afford to hold the line on prices... right in step with GM's new lower pricing strategy. Competition will not let up. The FJ appears to be very well priced. Amongst Yari, I like the hatch. The sedan is hideous... like a monster off The Simpsons, or Futurama.
  4. The photographic record is all that remains. That, and maybe some iron oxide.
  5. Nothing about this car is soft. This is a ramrod, a smoking hot shaft aimed squarely at the competition. It's my kind of car.

    Desktops!

I stand corrected. Thanks for posting, Ted! Now I get the connection.
  7. Another mimic. This time, BMW. I guess they've moved on from Mercedes. The decklid is especially bangled. Really, it's kind of a snore. How fast do you have to go to get into 8th gear? Crazy.
  8. God, this is turning out to be prime time to be a GM fan. The Enclave is elegant and assertive. The interior... opulent. The hardware... spot-on. Now I cannot wait to see the other Lambdas!

But... that's a bullseye grille... Dodge much? :AH-HA_wink:

You knocked its teeth out. What's wrong wif you, boy?
  11. I just got home from seeing that damned cowboy movie... again. It's playing here in town. I'm such a pussy, I cried more than the first time. Now I want to see it again. B)
  12. Stunning. A masterpiece.
  13. Why is the bowtie gold? It should be blue! Just for that, it's off my shopping list! After all this time, I cannot believe the criticism I'm hearing. I think it's a perfectly executed concept that should translate beautifully into production reality. This is the GM I love.
  14. I agree with CD/BP's above post. The ditch has some pretty crazy angles there. A lot of FWD-biased AWD systems would have been worthless in that situation, I think. Seeing these pictures makes me more interested in looking closer at a Patriot.
  15. To me, the Durango very closely resembles a pig. It's got a nose for rooting in the ground, a fat midsection, and a coiled tail(lights). Not a goodlooking design. This Chrysler shares most of those traits, but manages to be bland in the process. Very forgettable. GM kills these.
  16. Agreed. I like this interior better than Equinox, judging from the photos. Thanks for the size perspective, ehaase. When I drove an Equinox, I got the impression that it was somewhat of a lightweight, in a slightly negative sense. It must be smartly designed, however, to have such good crash test scores. Does Edge have a 3rd seat? If so, I hope it's an option, because it's gotta be for show only. Overall, a good effort by Ford. I like the fact that there's no Mercury clone so far. I just hope the Lincoln can somehow capture its own character.
  17. This should hit the target market perfectly. As long as the system is dead reliable, it should succeed. Good job, Saturn.
  18. I totally agree, Walt. What is wrong with us? The USA has more cultural influence over the world than any country, ever, yet we cannot have pride in our own products. Stupid. The Edge is a goodlooking crossover, chunkier and maybe more complete than an Equinox. Certainly more powerful. Is it a direct competitor for Equinox, or is it a step above it? Seems like a Lambda-style vehicle, has Ford beaten GM to the punch in this class? I hope it sells like crazy. The only thing I would change is the taillights... isn't that fad over yet?
  19. Yup, it's definitely '67-'68, not even the vaunted '69. So beautiful.
  20. HA! That's funny. during Senior Week down at Ocean City, MD, someone took a maxipad, put a red stripe on it, and stuck it to the Ford pickup hood of a really dorky guy I went to school with.
  21. Also, you don't have to go upstairs to get busy. Neighbors can't see what position you're in.
  22. Yeah, gettin' all big and muscley and splittin' out of his shirt... that would definitely suck.
  23. I just want to clarify that I am 41 years old, so 5 times isn't a lot. I've never bought it, it was always just passed along to me in an intimate setting. And I do not want anyone to start doing something illegal after reading my personal stance on this matter. My anti-drug is cars, and nature. And C&G, my home on the net.
  24. Cool then.
