  1. I always prounounced it "brawm". I'm sure someone will read this and correct all of us stupid heads in due time.
  2. Too many styling cues crowded into too small of a space. The stubbiness just doesn't get it done. Of course, in person, it may work a bit better. Based on the dimensions posted in the Motor Trend article, the thing is as tall as a 2wd pickup truck.
  3. One sec... I thought Satty got a Solara?
  4. And what exactly is wrong with the '74 GTO? By then the A bodies were really too heavy to give good performance, plus, the gas crisis made everyone panic, hence the X body/350. For some odd reason, I like the '73 GTO as well... but the '67 and '70 are my favorites.
  5. Sorry to hear about the car, glad your sister's ok. I always liked the original IS. Just from the bits of info you've shared, it sounds like quite a hit. You mentioned the gas tank. I'd be very surprised if the fuel tank is damaged because it should be ahead of the rear axle, well protected. I've had a lot of folks confuse their spare tire well with their gas tank. Modern collision repair methods are better then ever... if you have a technician who is knowledgeable, and a painter who knows what they're doing. It all comes down to the shop, if the initial estimate for repair doesn't kill it outright. If you care to post some, photos would help. I'll try to be of help, but I'd guess an estimate will be written by that time. Best of luck with whatever happens.
  6. Hi and welcome, arpee. Hey, what are the holes in the cladding below the taillights for?
  7. Speaking of faces... Solstice headlights: young Bruce Jenner. Sky headlights: old Bruce Jenner after a disastrous eye lift. I do like the Sky, but the Solstice is so romantic and sexy... the handsomest Kappa brother. Nick, love those 5s... it's tragic what's happened to the BMW 5 series this time around.
  8. Hey Ross, I can investigate for you. I need you to copy down your option codes and send them to me. Look for the option label, it is probably underneath the spare tire cover in the trunk. If it's not there, let me know, I can track that label down for you. The factory wheel code is on that label. You have me curious now.
  9. The new issue of Motor Trend has an illustration and an article about a possible V6 powered Chevrolet Kappa sports car, called... Stingray. OK, it wasn't too many months ago that I was harping for the same thing, right here on C&G (except for the V6 part). Check it out if you get a chance!
  10. I love Porsche. 911 first, then Boxster... but the Cayman is coming up fast on the outside, and may become my favorite in about 15 seconds... :) The Cayenne is a waste, but I can understand why they did it, I guess. Instant profits to put more R&D cash into future sports cars (hope so.)

    Song Trivia

Precisely. Just send $5.95 for shipping and handling. Dalmation not shown actual size. Morrissey is so cool. Love him. So sly.
  12. I saw the article. I think the front end is too short. Overall, a disappointment.
  13. The Delta was by far the most memorable car in the movie.

    Song Trivia

Long ago when he was young and restless daddy saw the beckoning finger of fate Don't make fun of daddy's voice Because he can't help it When he was a teenage boy Something got caught in his throat When you are young and crave affection and it can come from the strangest direction... Don't make fun of daddy's voice Because he can't help it When he was a teenage boy Something got caught in his throat :AH-HA_wink:
  15. She's outgrown her pants. Too much pasta?
  16. CB! How you been, man. Christmas was ok here.

    The Stalk

I have The Stalk on my truck. It's a GM thing, and it's fine with me. Had a rudimentary one on the '73 Catalina. It's what I'm used to.

    Pictures!

Oh lord, Nos. Maybe the photog was feeling some sort of vibe or something. Did you give him your digit(s)? OK, that's it. I promise not to say anything else (tonight).

    Pictures!

Damn, you've got to post it now. C'mon, Nos, waddya got to lose?
  20. What's that one McLaren Mercedes? The one with the huge pecker front end sticking out? The super-expensive, poorly selling one? That's my pick for penis enhancer of the year.
  21. Uh, a big ass Olds Delta 88... can't remember the year... '74-'76.
  22. :o  Were the outer dash vents inspired by... A '59 BUICK??? :AH-HA_wink: Naw man, that bB is hella ugly, yo.
  23. Darn. :( :AH-HA_wink: Getting back to the "chestnut" thing... you guys know chestnuts have a spiny husk, right? So my "shaving" comment was valid in a way... not just slightly "dirty"?
  24. We got an '85 Eldorado towed in over the weekend. Dark blue with blue cloth, no vinyl top. Aftermarket wheel covers. Overall, not in bad shape... except the drunk ass driver plowed it into several parked cars. We got one of the victims... an '05 Suzuki Forenza. It pained me to see the old Caddy. It hit the right front end so hard, it buckled the roof over the B-pillar. What a shameful end.

    Pictures!

That's a very good picture, Vipes. Nice shirt! The collar should be down! That's right. Nice pics, Nos (seriously, but I have to make a joke here). Damn, senior pics have come a long way since back in the day. They look like those "glamour shots" you can get at the mall. Where's the one of you with a rose in your mouth?
