  1. I had to shoo a couple of double-hump camels out of my basement family room the other week, other than that, not much.
  2. Can't see your Abercrombie boy, Vipes.

Yes, you are correct in saying the Golden Globes haven't been held yet. Sorry for misinterpreting that. I guess I'm just excited about it. It has already won numerous "best" awards from regional film critics associations across the country, so far. You are also correct in saying that the characters didn't always do what we hoped they would. For me, though, that just made them more real, because when confronted with an altered reality, we can't always predict what will happen. OK, enough seriousness... I bet you got a lot of admiring glances in that theater, din't you, turbo? Come on, tell us! :AH-HA_wink:
  5. '00 Volkswagen GTI 1.8t. Had him up to 135 on Rt 50 between DC and Annapolis, playing cat and mouse with a Mercedes E-class.
  6. Oh yeah, she's hot too. They were a sexy pair, those monkeys. ^_^

It has already won 7 Golden Globe awards, which is usually a stepping stone to Oscar.
  8. Alcohol makes your pecker get littler. Aren't you glad you have your uncle ocn to give you good advice? B)
  9. I saw Fox Mulder's butt. :)
  10. Well Ross, I wasn't able to do what I set out to do. I was going to run your VIN on DCS (Dealer Communication Services, an internal GM website), but, alas, the car is too old. If the car were new enough, I could run a complete build sheet and a warranty history on your VIN. PYO is your wheel code, so I called our parts counter. The guy gave me some part numbers. Your wheel had a first and second design, both of which are discontinued. The first design had a part # change. First: 12536285 Second: 9592762 First after # change: 25557916 He found some dealers showing stock. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  11. Was he cute, this FBI guy?
  12. Aw hell... just stuff LS7s in everything! And send the twist to the ass end! :)
  13. (*buttoned down whiteboy voice*) Why, thank you, moltar, for that bit of info. (*playful shoulder punch*) :P
  14. Bullshit, avro. I got Eaton Locker in the Colorado. Only thing that's gay is, with the new tires, it won't spin a wheel on dry pavement anymore. <_<
  15. *girl shriek* Is that a sexay Topaz with a fake convertible top in one of those pics????? (Or is it a Milan? Can't really tell from this angle. Hmmm...)
  16. Kewl. Congrats on the VUE. I always liked the "icecube tray" headlights on those babies.
  17. Winter is our penance for autoshow season. Remember that. Oh, who the hell am I kidding! Fly, I am jealous! :AH-HA_wink:
  18. Who is wpbharry this week? (*Epiphany*) OMG, is it Josh? I love to drive fast. A Chevy Colorado is not always the most appropriate vehicle to do it in though. And I hate whiplash from the speed limiter. That's why I miss my little Autobahn burner... no cheesy fuel cutoff nanny to spoil the fun.
  19. I reckon a "thank ya" is in order for that, Viper. (That's my Ennis Del Mar voice.)

Can you imagine another gay-themed movie with pretty boys? Been there, done that, blah blah blah. These guys are real, and believable, plus, Heath and Jake are hot in their own way. Harry, you're so wasted right now, aren't you, old girl? :AH-HA_wink:
  21. OK, who put my name up there? I just joined... the real me includes a photo.

There's nothing girly, or "fabulous" about it. I can see this as a very real movie. This portrays real life for some people. Life is about discovery. Some things that we discover about ourselves... we cannot deal with. Ennis is sooo real because of this. We've all seen it in the news... the conservative, rough, even homophobic public figure with a "secret". Jack is a real character as well. They were products of society, remember. I was very sympathetic toward Ennis' wife and daughters, for example. (Not so much for Jack's wife.) But, I also have to feel sympathy toward the main characters, neither of which went up to that mountain expecting to transform their lives in such unexpected ways. Just the scenery alone is worth the price of the ticket, but the story hits like a train.

Yaaayyy! A regular cab! Hopefully that means a regular cab, shortbed 2WD LT is in my future.

Well, I zipped down 95 yesterday afternoon to DC to see that awesome new Ang Lee movie about cowboys. Love the movie, want to see it again, sooo beautiful, yet so gutwrenching. Lots of interesting old pickup trucks in the movie, for those interested. The story spans about 20 years, and starts off with both guys driving beatup old 1950's GMCs... then they move on to 1960's and 70's Fords. Finally, we see Jack in a late 70's Chevy crewcab dually. So, that was one easy New Year's resolution... to see Brokeback Mountain. I know some of you guys would never see it because of the subject matter, and that's ok, but if your wife or girlfriend asks you to go, go, don't be scared. It's so good, I'm still there in Wyoming and Texas, with Jack & Ennis.
