  1. Oh my, look at the beautiful princess on top of Cremazie's... :P :AH-HA_wink:
  2. No doubt, all the hot dudes are hanging around the Can Am in the background...that's where I'll be! :)
  3. That was a classic, thanks for reposting, Harley. Didn't we come up with some funny captions for that? The bacon bits add a bit of salty/savory to the sweet apples. It's a great combination. Hey C.H.U.D., who cooks at your house? :AH-HA_wink:
  4. YES, thanks for posting, razor. I love everything about it except for the steering wheel, it looks out of place. I actually like modern rims on older cars, if they're not too "space age" looking. 16" or 17" Torque Thrusts look awesome on anything, from Rambler to Cadillac, imo. Maybe the lucky owner chose those rims because 6 spokes were a late Olds trademark.
  5. The new Tahoe is a sharp looking SUV. It's big, but svelte, and sporty. I like it a lot. Sequoia is a log by comparison.
  6. I agree, the idea of a sports coupe/hatchback/SUV combo sounds great. This evolution of the T2X is an improvement, but there are still some "show car" details that need to be changed for production. After living with my Ion, I am not sold on suicide doors because they don't allow for a really solid body structure... my Ion rattled and creaked like mad after only a few thousand miles. My extended cab Colorado is somewhat better because of the BOF foundation, but the doors still rattle against each other over bumps. The Element's gotta rattle too after some miles.
  7. Here's something to try, if you're looking for something a bit different in a weekend breakfast: Preheat oven to 375 Peel, core and slice two apples, your choice of variety (I used gala apples this a.m.) Place apple pieces in a baking dish Very lightly dust with flour (thickens the resulting juice so it clings to the apples to enhance flavor) Add a couple small pats of butter to stave off scorching and soften the sauce Sparingly sprinkle with brown sugar or honey (the apples are plenty sweet, just a little bit will be enough) Sprinkle with powdered ginger and cinnamon to taste Top it all off with a couple of tablespoons of real bacon bits Bake at 375 for 20 minutes Remove from oven and stir to coat the apples evenly, and enjoy!
  8. It's interesting how designers put a "face" on a vehicle to convey an intended image for it. In the case of the new Yukon, however, I just don't feel it. It almost looks like it is crying, it is almost sullen in appearance. The Tahoe is sporty, athletic by contrast, and the Escalade is elegant, patrician.
  9. Contour/Mystique were reviewed well for their driving dynamics, from what I remember, but they didn't last, partly, because they were small inside. I honestly hope these new triplets do well for Ford, even if I find them boring in a few areas. I like what they're doing in marketing the Fusion... they're selling it young. I see Chrysler is making an attempt to do the same with the Sebring TSi sedan package... sport suspension, no side moldings (the kids like that), aluminum rims, foglamps, low gloss woodgrain, a subtle rear spoiler... maybe this is a warmup for the next Sebring to have a more fun position in the market.
  10. How can you beat a Charger SE for $22,995? It's got a 250 horse engine with manumatic transmission, 17" wheels, RWD, and a whole lot of attitude. The only skimping I see is in the sound system (on paper, I haven't heard the base system), and arguably, the use of wheel covers instead of alloys. I think the Charger is quite a buy. A base Charger with decent aftermarket 17" rims would be something I'd be proud to drive.
  11. Ted, it seems, has settled our "mass" argument regarding crash tests. Love it!
  12. That's what is so cool about the Mini. A person has so many more reasons to purchase one besides the fuel economy. It truly is the only premium small car out there... the others seem like afterthoughts in a way.
  13. Well Vipes, now we know... the carpet does not match the drapes. I guess I'm not really in the mood this year. All I've done so far is poke 3 big flickering snowflake lights on sticks into my plant in front of the picture window. It looks kinda cool though. I won't bore you all with a photo, but it's fun to see what everyone else is doing for Xmas! It's a C&G tradition.
  14. This thread was inspired by Chief. <== credit where credit is due. Croc, why must you be such a barrel of laughs all the time? Can't you just click on the link to the photo, get the joke, and not go any further than that? I wouldn't have known it was "porn" until you told the whole board. I swear, you're like one of these ultra-conservative "family values" groups, you don't even realize you're making people more curious to see what's "forbidden" by ranting about what you find offensive. Duh, your scolding is having the opposite effect of what you intend! What exactly are those girls doing in that picture Harley posted? If I saw that in real life, I'd feel disturbed enough to run.
  15. My uncle had a red metallic '69 Mach 1 with white vinyl interior. I thought it was cool, with the horn location and the little turn indicators on the back of the hood scoop. I got myself in trouble because I sprayed "OFF!" bug repellant on his taillight lenses and permanently dulled the plastic. What did I know, I was only 5. <eg>

    Curtain Call

Eminem seems to instinctively know how to keep "us" interested. Except for this Kim thing... oh wait, maybe this is a set-up for more drama and not a lasting reconciliation. (Certainly not wishing them bad luck, but with their history, ya know...)
  17. Among others, I'd like to find a '79 Buick Century Turbo Coupe (the fastback one), and build an evil Buick V6 for it. I wouldn't want to have to tub it, because it would also need to get around corners like a go kart. I'd keep it stock looking (except for the rims, tires and ride height), minus the vinyl graphics. Ya don't see too many of those.
  18. I honestly like that red '58 Lincoln, and the new '06 Rio, although I prefer the hatchback. That '61 Plymouth is whacked out, however. Too many lights on the front. I guess that's for the Max Wedge to light up the Autobahn... what country was that photo taken in?
  19. Ah love me a good boofay meal, with mashed taters and nice brown gravy with lumps into 'er! And furreyed pork chops! And Belinda loves them turkey croakettes!
  20. Not nearly as scary as a Charger squad car, and that's not necessarily a good thing, imo. It will be interesting to read the test results on police vehicles this year... Crown Vic 4.6L, Impala 3.9L (what, no 5.3? bah) and Charger 5.7L.
  21. I agree, a FWD F car would have sold like ice on a glacier, and it would have completely destroyed the Camaro and Firebird names forever.
  22. Yikes, if the year was stamped into it, that means a new plate was issued yearly... that's a lot of busy prisoners.
  23. OK class, the word of the day is: DISTURBING. Who can put it in a sentence? :)
  24. Those "speaking tubes" are outrageously cool.
  25. Yeahbut, Sixty8, everybody thought TV should be free too, and look at us now. We complain because there's nothing on 130 channels. I used to listen to Stern every morning on the way to work, until my local station took him off for pitching satellite too much. I love his show, but it was getting old, his complaining. I don't guess I'll be getting a Sirius system anytime soon. GM's XM option sounds more and more attractive, however. Maybe I'll spring for it on my next vehicle. I think cable TV should be a "pay per view" situation. For example, you have your daily listings, so you can choose any channel at any time... you have a mote control that keeps a tally of what you watch, and that's how your bill is figured.
