  1. The commercial is not meant to be a full reveal, it is meant to shock the viewer and incite curiosity, which it does pretty well, imo.
  2. This is gonna be huge. Nice preview, cannot wait to see it in static photos and realtime movement!
  3. Well, this one was resolved. On the same day I picked up my new truck, she took delivery of a 2015 Nissan Versa Note SV, in Peacock with the Wheat interior. Very favorable lease rate. I tried to sway her toward buying out her Soul so she could get out of the lease cycle, but she resisted. I went with her on the test drive before I headed over to the Chevy dealer, and based on that, I was actually impressed with the behavior of this latest version of the CVT, it didn't seem to rev the engine so loud and languid like I remember her Cube and my Patriot.
  4. Ampera is too feminine. Bolt is masculine, and if any type of vehicle needs a shot of testosterone, it is an electric.
  5. It conveys a feeling of unflappable security while driving, like a great truck should. It feels super solid. The throttle is calibrated for smoothness. The handling is deft, and I can tell they worked on tightening the turning radius. It feels big (and the antenna is off until I get my Stubby because it will not fit in my garage with it on!) but its size is not a hindrance when maneuvering. The backup camera makes me appear to be an expert at parking. GM has done a masterful job overall with this truck. So, I guess I can say I am pleased so far, at a little over 200 miles on the clock.
  6. Bolt is a brilliant name for the car. First, it rhymes with Volt. Second, a bolt of lightning is a strong electrical force. And third, for us oldtimers, it connects to the venerable Chevy Stovebolt Six. If they name it something else, the car loses its magic.
  7. The looks are dreadful, it is as if it is morphing before our eyes into a minivan. Interior is sterile. At least there is no pretense toward authentic SUV styling. Opposite of cool.
  8. The Bolt was actually a topic of conversation for a short time at a family dinner last night, initiated by my motorhead father.
  9. I can testify: a nice drive in the country is good for the mind, body and soul. Get out there and put the pedal to the metal!

    Dodge Rampage?

I think a tiny pickup like the Rampage would sell pretty well today.
  12. Got to the dealer tonight just in time for a first sighting before closing... WOW. I was speechless for a minute! SO EXCITED after seeing it, can't wait to get behind the wheel. Only thing I dislike about these trucks is the chin dragging air dam on the front bumper. Good thing I asked them to remove it. They did it without charge, and it instantly toughened up the looks considerably. I am PSYCHED! I will try to post photos at some point, from my traditional location at the covered bridge.
  13. Thanks, Mr. dfelt!
  14. NEW TRUCK IS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am scheduled to pick it up on Saturday, I want to see it in full daylight before I sign paperwork. WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  15. Yeah, I hope this new one is more like its little brother than its big brother.
  16. *checking to see if it is bow season*

    hi

    Welcome to the jungle, mikka254!
  18. Not yet, darn it. It is due in to Annapolis off the train on 2.11. From there, it is loaded onto a truck to my dealer. I hope it doesn't sit too long in Annapolis.
  19. I just punched in "Passat DSG Service" into YouTube and got beaucoup results.
  20. You and I are thinking along the same lines. For the generator, something like a 502 CID BBC?
  21. Hopefully it will keep a lot of its unique style when it goes into production.
  22. Whoa! It's getting closer! Showing "In Transit" at my dealer's website.
  23. Yup. That is why no aftermarket part fits exactly.
  24. Aftermarket versions cannot, by law, have a provision for the bowtie-shaped emblem. Maybe try Hemmings classifieds, or Craigslist, or eBay for a NOS (new old stock) GM part?
