  1. Really? Just a badge change and that's IT? This has me concerned about the future of Buick identity v. Opel. This is an Opel Cascada gallery photoshopped with Buick badges. What's it look like with the top up? Let's see that 1.6t in the Encore, Trax and Sonic RS, immediately!
  2. So long as it has a waterfall grille, Ventiports, a SweepSpear and a chrome strip tying horizontally-themed taillights together, I don't care what they call it.
  3. It is nice as heck, but like hyper says... YAWN. No way do I advocate Lincoln take a page out of the Alien playbook of Lexus, but this whole idea of quiet, solid elegance they're trying to push just isn't keeping people alert. The MKZ I like, it is unique in shape and it stands out in the class. The MKC and MKX look nothing like their Ford siblings, so that problem is solved, it's just that the Fords look snazzier, somehow. Lincoln, unlike Cadillac, has fewer iconic design cues to pull into a cohesive identity for today. I wish them all the luck in the world at finding their birth mother so they can succeed.
  4. With Pontiac gone, Buick needs to step up their excitement! game on at least a couple of models. They need a RWD high class performance car, like the Riv, Wildcat, and GN were, with the option (at least) of 2-door bodystyle. The Regal GS, while nice, somehow misses the mark... whether it be the 4 cylinder engine, or the four door body... something is missing from the formula.
  5. Not a 2014 LT Z71, but a 2015 LT Z71, it has the body color door handles and mirror caps. The 2015 LT Z71 has body color handles and caps, but retains the special black Z71 grille. The 2015 LTZ Z71 has the silver grille, and I am not sure, but I think it has different wheels too. Hey Drewbert
  6. The truck in the original post is not an LTZ Z71, it's an LT Z71. The '15 LTZ Z71 has a silver grille.
  7. This is going to be cool, I can feel it. I could drive it to work all week on a single charge, plug it in on Friday night, run around on the weekend silently, then top it off for the work week on Sunday night!
  8. Eos is dead I think. The Cascada is a good looking convertible, I wonder what the Buick version will look like, and what it will be called.
  9. Well, I am sure there has been a lot more mechanical maintenance required on a truck of this vintage. A whole lotta grease fittings, maybe valve adjustments, plugs, points, condenser, etc. - did these have paper air filters? Carb adjustments, oh man... but I am sure it's all stuff he could have done himself.
  10. SWEEEET SPOT.
  11. Looks like it might be willing to take off its top, too.
  12. Quote from one male co-worker to another from a sexual harassment video I had to watch as part of my new job on Friday: "shame to let that cute thing go to waste".

    Pictures!

You didn't tell us you've been to law school.
  14. Hello, Kitty.
  15. Well, now that all the balls have dropped, it seems like we're off to another interesting year of cool (literally! burrr) and unusual vehicle spots. Bundle up, intrepid reporters, and let us know what you see!
  16. That is fantastic.
  17. Well the Ram looks macho-er. Is that a word?
  18. Not cool in the least. This was GM's chance to sell diesels in the U.S. They NEED to get this right, right now! If the baby Duramax fails in the midsize trucks, I know Nissan and Toyota will eat their lunch... again.
  19. People will say it looks like a Fusion, that GM's bread and butter midsize is playing catch-up in the styling department. There will always be something.
  20. Thanks and Happy New Year to all who read this. I have two pretty big changes right here at the beginning. I start a new job tomorrow, much closer to home. And then there's the new truck coming. May we all have a good one this round.
  21. I find it telling that they mention the Astro/Safari, which has been out of production for what... a decade now? That speaks to the durability of the GM vans. A pickup model would ROCK, even with drop-down sides. Just think, a Blacktop Promaster City, slammed! WICKED!
