  1. To their own peril, I'm afraid. Hyundai continues to make quite a splash. Meanwhile, a Cruze 5-door is sold elsewhere. And a coupe is but a softly-whispered dream.
  2. Cruze needs a coupe, or better yet, Chevrolet needs to build the Code 130R immediately.
  3. MOAR! MOAR!
  4. Ugh, to sully the Electra name by pasting it onto a golf cart? Blasphemy! It should only be proudly displayed on Buick's Omega or Zeta II vehicle.
  5. Well, to look like a baby LaCrosse, it would have to have a sweepspear, not an Astra hockeystick. And the angry taillights and Ventiports give it distinctive character. I do like this car and cannot wait for the turbo version to hit the street.
  6. Oh wow, Cobalt SS/Civic Si competitor. Oh wait, GM abandoned the compact coupe market, DIDN'T THEY?
  7. elevation
  8. The Omega Cadillac must be more of everything. Longer wheelbase and overall length. Special engine and suspension parts. No shared exterior body panels, just windshield and laminated front door glass shared between Cadillac and lesser Omega platform mates. And of course the finest interior GM can build. It's the only way.
  9. Jet Black/Tartan Torquoise definitely stands out for me, too. I'd love to see one that color. EDIT: wait... which color is predominant? I'd rather see black as dominant and torquoise as secondary...
  10. Stupid grin on Mazdas will not turn a frown upside down either.
  11. Dude is a peckerhead.
  12. rain
  13. hey now settle down
  14. It's pretty clear everybody involved had fun with your MAMA.
  15. I could like this if it weren't for the crappy canvas roof. Hurst was about open roof treatments, t-tops, interesting sunroofs, etc., the canvas top is not fitting the critera. I like everything but that I guess. Needs a new shift boot. And those fins, I cannot really see well enough to judge. Where are the side mirras???

  17. Sounds like you had a blast, MM. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your experiences.
  18. I guess they really were the cupholders of their time.
  19. Grandfather's '77 New Yorker had them.
  20. Yikes, bad luck for those dealers and customers who factory-ordered theirs. Some people might like these new ones I guess. Different strokes for different folks.
  21. Triangular light low on rear bumper is a foglamp for European applications, there is no bulb or switch for it on US cars. It's a dummy, per the Subaru saleskid, I asked him the same thing, I thought it was a functional foglamp. Personally think it would be cool if it were functional. Did you see it lit, maybe he was wrong. He said the only thing he wished for was 40 horsepower, and that the turbo should correct that. I shrugged and said I disagreed (although I have not driven it), that this is a handling car, not a dragstrip car. He acquiesced. These are really cool, thoroughly engineered for their purpose... unlike the Kappa cars, which were knock-outs, stylewise, but, honestly, possibly, underdeveloped, engineering-wise. It's amazing the Kappas saw the light of day and we should be thankful for them, but.
  22. Not bad for a grand. Could be something you'll become attached to.
  23. Ford guy said 3500 vehicles were hail-damaged at the Louisville, KY plant recently, and "that is why we only have one of these" (2013 Escapes). I looked at it and said "so, this one's had PDR work done to it then..." he said "Nooooo, not this one." He wasn't sure what would be done with those damaged vehicles. I am wondering the same thing. Repaired or scrapped? Sold as-is with a discount? Anyway, yup, I told him I wasn't sure it was a good idea to make it look like a car instead of a truck. He remarked on the color and clean condition of my Patriot.
  24. Spoken like a true Ohio resident. I can testify to that, and I was in Maryland at the time, forget about PA.
  25. No way Jose best ashtray inserts? Gotta be the 1970 Fairlane, followed by the 1974 Benz 280C. Stop being wrong, dude!
