  1. I'm forever scared of a convertible parked with no top. They get enough water damage even WITH a top. Although the silver car lacks a back glass...
  2. Am I dreaming or is the Sonic at or near the top of the class in sales?
  3. Oh you mean Never Any Parts Available? (First time I heard that was from one of the old guys who delivers parts for NAPA!)
  4. The silver one appears to be restorable.
  5. This is gonna be hawt. Torque moves bugs.
  6. Behold The Glory of The House Of GM Design!
  7. I totally love the quarters and rear end of the '61.
  8. Is there any photographic record of Aussie Utes from this purriod? Did the Australians invent the car-based pickup, or were the very earliest pickups actually just cars with open beds?
  9. He may be cookin' with gas, but not really, ya know?
  10. Maybe it was an R-title donated to a high school for a shop project. Still it needs burned to the ground, and I'd never say that about a Corvette.
  11. I went hikin' down through beautiful Tucquan Glen. Dint go all the way to the river though. Good luck with the Heep, Camino!
  12. Whoa, hyper has an idear! An Ecotec inline 6 would be sweeter'n honey.
  13. Ranchero came out in '57, IIRC. If Chevy had gone ahead in '55, they would not have been accused of playing "catch-up" as they were with the '59 Camino, '62 Chevy II, '67 Camaro, etc. etc. (although I guess the Chevy II was only in hindsight, as hopes were still high for my beloved Corvair in '60-'61).
  14. The GM trucks are the lightest of the Big 3 already. I think Ford and Dodge should be the ones substituting lighter materials.
  15. When those first came out, I genuinely liked the Toronado, tiny as it was. It was the only one of the 3 '86 E-bodies that had any pretense of sport. The Riv and Eldo were simply horribly shrunken versions of their former selves. The Olds was an attempt to return to the '66 formula, (albeit in a pint size), that of a highline, sporty coupe with unique style.
  16. Interesting rig! Greatly resembles a '55 Chevy wagon from the windshield back. In lovely shape, apparently.
  17. Obviously he went in to the Super Cuts and asked for the "Mad Scientist".
  18. Kept him away? I think this monstrosity is FUELED by crack cocaine and crystal meth!
  19. Equinox pickup? That BLOWS. Hopefully the next Colorado will have a front clip to reflect a family resemblance to the new fullsize trucks. And I'd like to see the Canyon front take some things from the '13 Acadia. That embryonic 4 cylinder Duramax will make these trucks HOT. I agree with z... the 5.0 is a more suitable engine for the F-150. And these new smallblocks with 8-speed should be pretty darn economical without resorting to a potentially problematical turbocharger. Both midsize and fullsize GM trucks need a killer naturally aspirated V6. And the new 2.5L should be the base motor for the midsizers.
  20. I don't usually like reds, but that is spectacular! I could do without all the strap-ons, however.
  21. That one time uncledave who said that
  22. Tricky. There is a difference between "selling" 20k of these junkers and "delivering" them to the hapless buyers.
