  1. How pathetic am I? I was walking the streets of Lancaster last night, saw a red Yaris two-door and I went into "if only" mode. We need more two-door cars, NOW.
  2. I sawr a TSX wagon the other day that was NOT rotting on a dealer lot and I was like WTF??? I was afraid this would happen. A Regal coupe sounds like a good pacifier. So does a Verano wagon... but I'm not holding my breath. As has been said, Encore will probably be "it" for a small, uber-practical Buick.
  3. You are dead stunning, Baby.
  4. That there's a lot of sugar.
  5. Surprise, surprise, smk mentions the dreaded "C" word, perpetuating a decades-old joke. ha. ha. Good one.

    BIRTHDAYS

Dwightlooi and crunksoulbrotha are another day older, hopefully they're not deeper in debt. HB to both of you.
  7. malevolent
  8. Take good care, KF.
  9. Being parked where it is allows condensation to attack it. As far as the motor goes, I'd see if it spins or it it's locked up from sitting. Check the oil, take a can of gas and a jumper box, see if it spins over. A truck like that is ever more rare down here in salt country.
  10. WHOA... they're a package deal!
  11. We're gonna start callin' you "The Man In Black".
  12. You guys better back off, I saw him first!
  13. Yeah, I had to put my deck up a notch and I took the bag off, let the mower mulch the cuttings, it was too heavy and wet to blow into the bag. And I'll need to mow again on the first clear day. Moltie, nice farm photos!
  14. He's a longtime member, today's his birthday and he was here today. So... longshot unless you come back in to see us tonight, but.. Happy Birthday sir. (I need to remember to check these in the morning like I used to.)
  15. They are disavowing their manufacturing history when they say this is the first-ever compact Buick. It made me stop reading the press release. I mean really... the 1961 Special up to the last N-body Skylark... that's a LONG history of compact Buicks, AND they went even smaller with the Skyhawks. I really like the Verano though, and I expect it to do well... to me it straddles TSX and MKZ, leaning more toward MKZ (or Milan Premier actually). Right now I don't see it conquesting Acura. Acura is harder, sportier at the low end (even though it's nothing but a Euro Accord, yeah). Maybe Lexus ES... but not IS, as mentioned in the press release. Jeez... the Verano stands alone in the market. Maybe the turbocharged, manual transmission model will change my perception of the car.
  16. I'm reminded also of that other (less) iconic phrase uttered by Montalban in the Cordoba commercials... "The New Small Chrysler". Small being a relative term, good grief.
  17. Vick's Vapo-Rub
  18. Rear center armrest was standard equipment on the 1LT. My car has no factory options, just two dealer-installed ones... foglight kit and cargo net.
  19. It was sloppy mowing the yard this morning after rain last night, but I had to get it done... rain predicted here for rest of week too.
  20. Nah, I'd only be driving home that way... AFTER the windows get tinted. I'd be up for a meet-up at some point though. Maybe you, Camino, caddycruiser and myself (and anyone else who'd like to show up) can meet up @ Hershey for the show this year.
  21. Mr. Dart, I agree with ya regarding leather seats. Unless they're heated, then they're OK. They can be hot in summer and cold in winter. I have cloth seats in my car, but a leather wrapped wheel and shifter knob. One concern I have is getting the gray seats dirty after working all day. Maybe I should carry a big towel to put over the seat in case my clothes are dirty, or just strip in the parking lot, whichever is easier for me to remember. Thanks uncle davey, and ZL-1. That GTC looks pretty cool, I'd take it as a Buick with a front clip similar to the Verano.
  22. I love how R-R and Bentley don't go into detail about the greasy bits of their cars, answering questions of engine output with a stiff British pronunciation of the word "adequate". Adequate indeed!
  23. It takes a higher iQ to drive a manual transmission, which makes Yota's US decision on their smallest car all the more perplexing.
  24. Shirley they cannot be serious.
