  2. It's progressing nicely.
  3. I think it's too "premium" for Chevrolet. Since Pontiac and Saturn are gone, the Opel-based Regal is here, and the Verano is soon coming, it would make a better Buick to hook those younger drivers, and with the same powertrain options as the Verano, it is like that missing Lego, it completes the big picture.
  4. My garage grew overnight. I'm a single guy, I don't need something huge. And I enjoy the maneuverability and features, not to mention my sudden unfamiliarity with gas stations. And used vehicles, even with warranties, come with baggage.
  5. If you guys have a chance to see Motor Trend's photographs of this car, take it. It comes across very well in their layout.
  6. I cannot seem to open up the politics section. Have I been ?
  7. Yeah, I like the stock bowties better... love the green, but it's just too much for me. They don't stand out anymore.
  8. Ford will be sending 3 black Expeditions to your driveway in the middle of the night to question you on that.
  9. Oh man, what a great title. This should be good.
  10. If you can see some cool vehicles through the clouds of pollen, please post them here! Nice weather is (mostly) upon us!

  12. Roman Red '66 El Camino in sweet shape. Chevy van of mid-60's vintage, bright blue below the belt, pearl white above. Sharp. '54 Chevy 2-door, in weathered dark green with a light yellow roof... and a license plate from Washington State!
  13. Took my first extended highway trip today, 4.5 hours round trip travel time. Stopped to get gas about 45 miles from home. Up to 36.1 average MPG over 1800 miles... this tank, 39.8 MPG, with a couple of sprints up to 75-80 MPH (playing with an Escalade on the 4 lane highway for a while). Beautiful day it turned out to be, listenin' to The Roadhouse and BPM on the Sirius all day.
  14. I like the hood stripes, the black Camaro lettering, and the highlighted side slits.
  15. Sawr a new pearl white 9-5 yesterday, a beautiful car. I hope they can continue.
  16. Took a customer's CR-V to the local Honda dealer for an emissions control system failure, while I was waiting to be picked up, it became apparent I was looking at a 2012 Civic sedan, parked next to a 2011. It is official: Honda's photographers are as clueless about taking flattering photos of their own products as GM's. The car is a safe redesign that doesn't look that bad in person. It has a visibly higher beltline and a bit more definition through the body shell, especially at the tail end. It also does not appear to have a 4X4 ride height, as the photos suggest, but a traditional, low attitude. The interior, though, looks a bit cheap, as does the outgoing car. The dash has an insane texture to it, as if 1 million tiny chihuahuas saw a squirrel crossing the road and scratched the crap out of it. Those little guys can do some damage. Still, overall, I think it will continue to serve Honda lovers well, even if it doesn't expand its territory. It doesn't appear to be a car for conquest sales.

  18. My mom is 66 years young, enjoying her Cube because of the ease of ingress/egress... and because it's funny looking. She also swoons over the Soul and almost bought one.
  19. Croc, you are not correct here (and how old are you?) There needs to be a diversification of the remaining brands if GM is to hold on to as many orphaned customers as possible. Buick needs to come down a TINY BIT at the lower end, and Chevy needs to come up a TINY BIT to cover Pontiac, and to a lesser extent, Saturn. Unless it's OK with you if GM abandons hundreds of thousands of current customers.
  20. What Pontiac? Without them, GM still has a giant hole. Leveraging any bit of coolness connected to the Buick brand DNA will be necessary to keep them relevant to a wider audience... a small sporty Buick no longer competes internally with Pontiac. Would you rather ride on a hawk's back or a lark's for a day?

  22. Appears to be a sweet little buggy, Mr. Dot.
  23. I hope Philly is less cheese and more steak. Have a good one!
  24. It is awesome following a Cadillac with LED tails if you're a car geek like me. The uniform, instant red beacons are cool to watch, and they catch your eye so well, they have to be safer. I prefer the Malibu EEK, oh tails to the LTZ ones, though... they do look cheesy when lit.

    Hey GM

Focus SE Sport sedan with the black rims is tres sexay compared to Grandma Cruze.
