  1. Is there a place where you can go to double check the system before making a service appointment, like a local mud bog, or a rock trail? Maybe you can have an old Crown Victoria follow you in case you get stuck somewhere.
  2. I trust you've had a good one so far, sir. Enjoy yourself!
  3. *extends a hand* Welcome to you as well, Mr. riviera74.
  4. To me, the Lucerne, even though I like the car, kind of took a spot between the LeSabre and Park Avenue... it never really had the panache of the Park, imo. Many here would love to see a new Park Avenue based on the LWB Zeta platform... which is currently sold as a Buick Park Avenue in China.
  5. Tuxedo Black Metallic, and I'll have to go check the door jamb for the code.
  6. Welcome, 1REDCAV. Feel free to jump right in.
  7. A darn nice example. I did not remember they had a black interior available, looks classy. With the Touring package, I like to see these with the aluminum wheels and fat blackwalls to better communicate its sporting bent, though.
  8. tight
  9. Well, Latin folks I know have a strong sense of family and faith, aren't a lot of them devout Catholics? I haven't talked to him about his faith before he told me that. I am not going to fault him for going to church. I believe God loves gay folk, after all, we keep happening in the world. I just want him to know he's OK. Plus I want me some of that. So he texted me today... a date tomorrow night? We'll see.
  10. I wonder if there's a warning light of some kind on the dash if there is an AWD issue, under those conditions Drew was calling for a response from the rear end, perhaps a little extra goosing would have worked? Wait a minute, that didn't sound too good. We're on a slippery slope here, so to speak.
  11. I usually head off to dreamland at about 9, since I am up at 5. Last night I curled up at 9:30. Person knows I am early to bed, early to rise. Phone by the bed... I get a text at 10 that wakes me up, "are you in bed?" "Yes". "OK, talk to you tomorrow". Then it was difficult regaining my slumber. Thanks, buddy.
  12. ... to a person who texts you, saying he misses you, that he doesn't forget good people, but that he's been going to church a lot to try to "behave"? I told him I think God loves us, that we aren't doing anything wrong. Not sure it worked.
  13. Thanks for the tip on "how to comment on Jalopnik", Camino. I went and done it fer ya.
  14. Thanks, ZL-1 and Croc, for joining me in calling for a Buick GTC with a black chrome waterfall grille. Don't forget matching twin ventiports on each top side of the hood.
  15. That's a nice, not overwrought SS clone. I usually bemoan clones, but I'd take this one.
  16. I like those old 3-door Subs. The black paint along the bottom leads me to believe it needs more than rockers, a lot of ppl do that to hide rot.
  17. Wow, seems like two vehicles some of us have been wishing for at Buick will come... if things pan out.
  18. I wonder if this has a CVT, and how it will hold up under the grueling conditions.
  19. Subtle but substantive refinements. They've got this thing down to a science. They're sending it off well. It'll be fun spotting these. I wonder when they're coming out? The changes, it seems to me, are aimed at increasing its appeal as a retail vehicle. I think it will hold its own for a while longer. These changes can only help.
  20. Cruzes are everywhere nowadays. It's too bland for me, but it has a nice interior. Glad it's doing well. Still needs a coupe.
  21. Is that a Mexican party in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
  22. I saw photo # 26 and was convinced. Full-on quirky Subaru, but cool. Just the way it should be.
  23. Yes, I noticed the different spelling of Isuzu. Perhaps it is in the translation. When I was a kid, it was called "Peking" China, now it's spelled "Beijing" (or did they change the name of this old town?) I'm looking at the size and mileage figures and wishing for something like this today... alas, it would need expensive materials to keep the weight down and the crash test scores and MPG up.
  24. New Jetta is still a good, solid Volkswagen. Happy to see it doing so well.
  25. I think I'm going to like it, based on the photos, especially after seeing the Motor Trend article.
