  1. A wicked runner, that much is certain. Drew, by all means, have fun in it.
  2. The rear end definitely influenced the '94 S-10/Sonoma.
  3. My saleskid mentioned new Focus should hit their lot in a couple of weeks.
  4. I prefer the production '94 S-10. Owned one. It ended up being my longest-kept vehicle, at 4 years and 125k miles. Only thing odd about the production truck was the weird triangular rear bumper end caps, which prevented using the bumper as a step with the tailgate down. Form over function. The '98 S-10 re-do thankfully went back to a functional step bumper.
  5. Gah, horrible development, Camino. I hope it passes much quicker than anticipated so you can get back to a (hopefully) busy routine.
  6. We have annual safety inspections in Pennsylvania. Something like that Saturn would not be legal here at inspection time (so the person could theoretically drive it for a while in its unsafe state). I understand some other states have a lot of junk on the road. That Saturn is unsafe for a bunch of reasons.
  7. I was hopeful this would improve Suzuki's automotive fortunes, especially here in the US. Alas.
  8. Good way to put it, vonVee, and I totally agree. The 2012 is MUCH improved. Looks like a normal Acura again.
  9. Moltie is tellin' you the truth. A diesel manual Epica will prolly match the Passat TDI in fuel economy nombres.
  10. Mr. Doane, thanks for the link to the interior shots. This is shaping up to be a very nice car. I think it would be extra wicked as a coupe.
  11. Hi Potluck, welcome to the neighborhood. FNG buys donuts.
  12. One of those new Accord TSX wagons, at the local dealer. Actually snazzy.
  13. You felt compelled to follow it out of town to make sure it's gone?

  15. Two thumbs up so far.
  16. Well I didn't know I have a stalker. Thanks for all that research, James. Should I feel shaken, or stirred? Of course, I'll keep everyone up to speed, and I'll post photos ASAP. Thanks for the well wishes.
  17. You are right. It was dark when I got home, and rainy. I hope to post some photos on Saturday.
  18. Well, maybe the 16s have a lower sidewall profile, which could contribute to a harsher ride. Not sure, I never drove an SES model. Anyhoo...

Camino must not have regained consciousness yet after his first glance.
  20. Mine seems to ride well. I have the SE, which comes with 15-inch aluminum rims (part of the Sport Appearance pkg) with Hankook Optimo tires. The SES (with the chrome bumper light bezels) comes with 16" aluminum rims, not sure what tires. I wonder if that's the difference.
  21. Good to know ya, Roger, sir. I've never heard a negative thing escape your mind and appear on this screen. Quite an accomplishment.
  22. Holds corners like a Trans-Am . Takes bumps quieter than a mouse, after the truck (which was behaving normally for a truck, except for the squeaky doors of the extended cab, which I was never able to remedy.) Growing up... I never thought I'd buy a Ford product. But it is the best car available in this country in this class right now, I believe. Let's hope it is as reliable as all of my GM vehicles have been.
  23. I think you might be referring to the CLS chopped-roof sedan (I refuse to call it a "coupe"). I think the CL-Class is a coupe. Ah.. the perils of an alphanumeric naming structure... IIRC, anything with a "K" in the nomenclature is a small car. GLK is the small SUV, CLK is a small coupe, SLK is the small roadster. SL is the bigger roadster, and I think... SEL (?) is the bigger S-Class coupe. Or is it SEC? Holy Toledo.
  24. Well, I done did it. Again. I took delivery of my 2011 Ford Fiesta SE hatch this evening after work. Tuxedo Black Metallic with black and blue interior, 5 speed manual transmission. A sweet-driving little pup for sure, quiet and solid. I got a special treat installed, a blue leather-wrapped shift knob from Ford Accessories to match the blue streaks in the upholstery. Sets it off nicely. I really needed to loosen the strings of some of my debt. The house stays in my possession, so the next most expensive proposition is the truck. I chose to let it go, and I am saving over $2000 per year in payments and insurance alone... plus, I owed over $18k on the truck, I shaved over $5k off my automotive loan debt, then there is gasoline, maintenance, etc. If anyone is interested, I will clean it up again on Saturday (it rained on the way home tonight) and post some pictures in The Garage and in this thread, taken at Lancaster County Park, the site of the covered bridge I've posted pictures of my last 37 new vehicles right here at C&G. And thanks for your patience while I hashed this out in my mind.
