  1. I always saw it spelled "shooting brake".
  2. I like the back end sculpting, but I think the quarter glass is too small and the D-pillar angle should match the C. Overall, a better job than the SRX though, easily.
  3. Love the fins. The rest of it is overwrought... too much "style" slathered onto a small canvas. Trying too hard to retain its soon-to-be abandoned place in the market, as I said in the other thread, this confirms it for me.
  4. mope
  5. Kinda nifty, I guess.
  6. Ah yes, but the important thing is... does your girlfriend like your meat?
  7. The CR-V is classified as a "truck" here in the US though, right? A truck still doesn't legally need to have a rear bumper at all, AFAIK. Not sure how they can justify a design like that on a "car" though. There'll be a $h!load of liftgates replaced on these in rear-end hits, an unneccessarily expensive proposition. It looks like it is trying to resemble the Commodore wagon. Put them side by side, and I'd take the RWD Commodore INSTANTLY over this.
  8. Well shoot... "TA-DAA!"... not. It's the right name for this vehicle, who were they kidding with this silly contest? I'd really like to see that 3.6L DI V6 engine choice reg is asking for, as well.
  9. smk, are you sure this is the right forum for you?
  10. Well, I like the tailfins, and the "V" in the grille is a cool nod to Cadillac's soon-to-be abandoned place in the market.
  11. I was drafted into MENSA and fathered 26 babies the day after I made myself a tofu smoothie, so I'm not sure I quite understand the gist of this thread.
  12. Aww, the little guy looks happy, that's all that matters, I guess.

    N00b here

Are you my father? Welcome to the board, sir. Check my signature for my ride.
  15. BMW X6 V6? *faints*
  16. Some say the Fit rides too hard, they prefer, if they are downsizing, to retain a "big car ride", which the Versa purports to offer. I have driven neither, just going by those ol' Edmunds owner review pages.

    Phantoms

I believe a "Phantom" is a vehicle that could have been built, but wasn't. It is a project that looks as if it should have come off the assembly line... and it is based on a production vehicle. For example, a Buick Skylark or Pontiac Tempest "El Camino". I believe my '81 Bonneville "Trans Am" in that recent thread qualifies, please Camino, correct me if I'm wrong.
  18. Yeah, I like the newer one. Too bad earlier ones were so junky. I hope the newer M-Class is better made.
  19. Yeah, I noticed that. We saw the HD Denali Concept truck a while back, perhaps it will come to reality.
  20. Those '77-'79 Chevy B-body coupes with the bent back glass were so handsome, and sized better than their ancestors for such a project as you suggest. Cool!
  21. I am full of ideas for A/G bodies '78-'88 and B-C-D bodies '77-'96. Even the unloved fastback '78-'79 Buick Century coupe with a built turbo 3.8.
  22. What a handsome little monkfish that is. I wouldn't be scared anymore to buy a Korean car (except a crappy Daewoo). I want to see the coupe version.
  23. That little Accent hatchback in the sportier trim level, is quite a solid, cute little cheek. I'll take mine with the factory B&M short shifter 5 speed manual with sunroof, in Apple Green.
  24. Here's an idear: '81 Bonneville coupe, sans vinyl top and fender skirts. Black in color. Gold pinstriping. Trans Am shaker hood, concealing a 400. Snowflakes. Lowered, buttoned-down suspension. Rare, factory bucket seat/console interior, in tan velour. TH400 transmission, beefed posi rear. Wow... I think that'd be hot. I always loved a bad-ass B-body... a real rocket sled.
  25. I wrote an estimate on a blue '07 Datsun Versa hatchback this afternoon, owned by a college kid. Someone backed into the door. I asked him how he likes it. He said he loves it, and it is very fun to drive.
