  1. A nice glimpse. It's not the concept, but from what I can see, it is still attractive. I hope and pray they can pull this off, especially after the unprecedented hype. If this is what people truly want, more power to them.
  2. Shoot, how many beige and light blue Rabbits were sold back in The Day? A jaunty green, some sort of blue (wow, I just realized dark blue has been removed from the '09 choices as well as the green), even pale yellow would be received well, imo. It's like VW is selling the Rabbit here because they're being forced to, so they don't even try to make the best of things, since the car has to sell for relatively little here to remain competitive.
  3. Why are you moving to Germany? The reason you gave us has resolved itself. You have a new boy, a new Model A, why leave?
  4. The Rabbit 3-door has lost a color choice for '09 (Sage Green), which is a shame. I think VW's color choices are way too conservative. A few lively color choices would easily translate into more sales for the solid, fun-to-drive Rabbit. I was gazing at some '09 Rabbits yesterday, dismayed they were all automatics. Cool you can get the sunroof in the 3-door Rabbit in '09, a profit maker for VW at $1k. White is the best of the remaining colors, imo.
  5. Well, it is amazing, and the dog is badass, but we don't know how long the shark and the fisherman battled before he brought it in. The shark was prolly wore out by that point.
  6. WHAAAAT!!??? That thing looks sporty, Drew. This should be a ton of fun for you and your boy. Is that him with his head all sideways, behind the wheel?
  7. The Civic should garner an entry, but only one. That's blatantly too pro-Honda to put it on there twice. I totally disagree with the xB being on there, and the 3 is nice, but expensive in the nicer trims, imo. The Civic isn't even "cheap" anymore. The Datsun Versa should be on the "5 best" list, imo, as it can be had well-equipped for under $16k. I agree with the "worst" list.
  8. G6 GT coupe is well-equipped with no options, imo. I just wish the 18" rims continued into '09 as a stand-alone option. A Silver Green GT coupe with Ebony cloth, woodgrain trim, and the 18" rims would suit me just fine, alas, it appears the 18s are only included with the "Street Edition" '09 GT trim level. Yesterday, I stumbled upon my local BPG dealer's annual Pontiac show. Some very sweet cars there, as old as 1933, IIRC. A beautiful 40's Woodie wagon, in Battleship Gray, a red '63 Tempest 326 convertible, perfect '73 Grand Am tintop, '77 Can Am and a PRISTINE '77 Grand Prix SJ in silver/silver with black vinyl buckets and a 400, Rallye II rims with blackwalls... shown by the original owner, a little granny who was talking very well for herself with a goodlooking guy admiring the car. One G6 GTP coupe in white with the 18s, debadged, with a low ducktail spoiler, aftermarket exhaust, dark windows and "G6performance.com" stickers caught my eye. Another great thing at the show was the large turnout of new GTOs, driven by hot young men. There were crowds assembled at one blue one in particular, with a built LS2 engine, owner claiming 700+ ft/lbs torque. Pontiac needs to keep their romantic, rebel spirit alive... because there are people who value that spirit. GM, please keep your brands focused, your customers will stay, and new ones will be snagged... but you MUST let the brands communicate to the customer. Let Pontiac be Pontiac.
  9. Spotted a Genesis at local dealer while driving by, maybe I'll get out that way today to take a closer look. Also, we got 3 new MKS sedans in, and two are gone already. Sold a silver and pearl white, still have an all-black, loaded AWD example. Like the Taurus/Sable, it is a high, big, imposing car. Very nice, imo. Two '09 Aveo5's at local dealer, just off the truck, still "wrapped". One black metallic, the other "Tahiti Green" (looked aqua blue to me). They were sad little cars, especially with their "GM" badges crooked on the green one.
  10. This kid's a dope. There is a HUGE difference between a '77 and '78 Malibu wagon... he can't tell which year he's got there? Camino should definitely buy this and save it.
  11. "The Ocean Blue" was an alternative rock band popular in the late 80's-early 90's. I was a big fan, and got a license plate that read "OCN BLU". When I got my first pc in '99, I used "ocnblu" as my nick everywhere, and it stuck.
  12. I have a goatee right now. I was at my mom's on Thursday. She said, "I like your little face thing. What do they call that, a mullet?

  14. GOOD LORD hyper... why aren't you more... hyper about your brand spankin' new, awesome little wagon getting crunched? I would be devastated. I'd prolly have to go into a home for a few weeks until I got my sanity back. Anyway, it's one HOT little beast. I hope it's back home soon.
  15. Very clear U.S. influence in design on those Opels.
  16. My main beef with this car is the hammerhead wing.
  17. Well, next weekend I'm going to be spending about $500 to attend my class reunion, so I will not be able to come up to New Hope. Please post lots of photos of the show.

    The Big C

Most good dog owners revere their dogs, because our dogs love us unceasingly with their whole body and soul. z, I wish you and your sweet dog strength and grace over the next weeks and months. I still miss my little Meggie, and it will be 3 years this December since she left me.

That's the smell of your butt hairs burning when you first sit on the luxurious leatherette seat in July...
  20. HAHA! Nice crop job on the photo.

I just went over to Edmunds, and for $h! & giggles, I priced out an '09 Aveo5. Here's my option list: 2LT sunroof ABS leatherette seats (vinyl, for God's sake) aluminum wheels rear spoiler $17,635!!!!! That's the most hilarious thing I've read all day! I am so sure they'll sell like hotcakes at that price.

  23. Wait, what's that hella gorgeous yellow car behind the red Malibu?
