  8. There are many Sonics in PA, and we have one close, but I haven't been there. I'll have to try it sometime. I am trying to cut down on bad foods. Croc, I am so sorry dude, but it really looks like somebody vomited on those french fries... nasty. The "protein style" burger, however, is interesting. I remember when Burger King tried serving a "low carb" Whopper... it came without a bun. I took my mom there for lunch one day, and she ordered one... then proceeded to complain when she got it: "where's the BUN???"
  9. Ew Equi, is that like those little pop-out indicators on chickens to show that they're done cooking?

Honey, that's some stinging commentary. It's still buzzing in my ears. I don't want to be a flighty drama queen, but jeez. I thought the video was the bee's knees, and it does call attention to a worthy cause... honey bees are disappearing. Save the bees!
  12. Agreed, it would be cool, with a regular cab and 3-pane wraparound rear glass, like the 1940's Chevy pickups.
  13. Harley, the previous generation Epica was sold here as the Suzuki Verona, with a transverse inline-six engine. It had one of the worst repair records in the industry. The head of Suzuki expressed his frustration that GM forced the car into his NA lineup because the Verona, along with the other two Daewoo rebadges still sold here (Reno and Forenza) took his company way down the line on quality surveys. This is why I just do not trust a Daewoo product, starting with the Korean-built Opel Kadett-turned Pontiac LeMans of the 80's. They're bad news.
  14. Shoot, we have 4 birthdays today and I just noticed it. Happy B-day Satty, intrigued, PONTIAC06 and vonVeezelsnider.
  15. I dearly love GM as much as the next guy, but they have a long history of bringing out half-baked vehicles, improving them little by little, only to drop them after they get them right. The Corvair finally got the suspension it deserved for '65, but by then it was too late. The Impala SS got proper gauges and a floor shifter in '96, its final year... the Fiero thing as illustrated here, and the list goes on and on... sometimes it seems they actually plan for failure and only do what they know is right when it is all but too late.
  16. Ew, clearly a Daewoo.
  17. In the first picture of this latest series, at first it looks like the Subie has a spoiler... until I realized it is one of the other cars parked behind it!
  18. On my way home from camping today, I stopped at the local Chevy dealer. They have a dark blue '08 Cobalt SS, optioned with sunroof, LSD, low spoiler, and MP3 stereo. It's amazing how the SS is so transformed from the basic Cobalt with just a few exterior changes. My first sight of one. Very hot.

  21. Well I'm glad to see it hasn't gone to his head.
  22. It's making fun of speedwalkers. It seems pretty funny to me. I don't necessarily get a gay vibe off the walker guy. I don't understand the hubbub.
  23. I am going to have to train my cat to run on a treadmill hooked to a generator in case that happens here.

    CURSES

Uh, they gave mom a Kia Rondo LXV6 as a rental with multiple burn holes in the seats. For some odd and embarrassing reason, she loves the dorky thing. She didn't know how to work the manual shift gate on the transmission, so we went for a ride and I showed her how to use it. She said "that's stupid, why have an automatic if you want to shift gears yourself?" I couldn't give a credible answer. Don't worry, I will not permit her to buy one.
