    Hey PCS

Toyota vs. GM: please don't tell us the next G6 will be to the next Malibu as the current G5 is to the Cobalt... if so, I will cry BULL$h!.
  2. As the French would say... "junque".
  3. '08 Focus SE Deluxe coupe in Vapor Silver, all stock except it had tinted windows and it was slammed. I've been trying to imagine how a new Focus would look with a dropped suspension. I figured the relatively high roofline would make it look retodded, but it actually looked pretty cool.
  4. This name change is further evidence that North America has lost considerable importance to GM. If we still mattered, the new car would have been called Cobalt, and the rest of the world would have to adapt to Cobalt. We're second-tier now, mates. Japanese companies are working diligently to produce cars that we'll love, while GM is retreating from the US market.
  5. Extraordinarily shiny...

    Hey PCS

Autoblog posted today that no more brands will be killed, but, like we've heard from Chrysler execs, models that compete with each other will be. This is something a lot of us here have hoped for... a renewed effort to focus each brand. I sincerely hope this is the path GM takes. And, to clarify, Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse do not compete with each other. Platform sharing is a reality, and a good one. Exterior and interior design, and alternative bodystyles among brands are key to lessening divisional competition. The current Epsilons are a good example of how to focus a platform for each division. Chevy, Pontiac and SAAB Epsilons are certainly very different from each other in character. This is what GM needs to continue to capitalize on.
  7. "Cruze" seems Spanish to me. It also conjures up images of tiny Daewoos, but I guess since only a GM nerd would know that, it doesn't make a difference. "Cruze" means nothing to me, just as "Cobalt" meant nothing to me pertaining to a car. I always thought of cobalt as a color or a mineral... but since it's been the name of a car, it has taken on new significance for me and the buying public. But it seems GM is running as fast as they can from significance, so I guess it doesn't matter. Why should I give a crap anyway?
  8. It's encouraging to hear they're considering a V6 option (cool), and even hybrid (not for me, that's an image I care not to convey).
  9. Ha, I took it myself on the way home from work yesterday. It is sitting right off a pretty heavily-travelled road, and it's been there for like two weeks. I wanted to post a pic before they haul it away. It burned where it sits, surrounding trees and bushes are singed. What a grrreat advertisement...
  10. I feel compelled to add one word to Borger's post as a public service: "Hide your daughters', wives' and yes even your grandmothers' underwear!
  11. Agreed, with the current CTS right there with it.
  12. Well, I really like the 1, and the current 3-series coupe, and the Z4 isn't bad except for a bit of a weird rear end. The X3, X5 and especially the bizarre X6 should be dropped (as should the Cayenne, although I know it's been a moneymaker for Porsche).
  13. Camino...You're crrrazy!!! :AH-HA_wink:
  14. off
  15. GM needs to build a new, simple, small SUV like the Tracker, once again in 2 door convertible and four-door bodystyles. Coming home from work this evening, I saw a young guy in a blue, two-door tracker, top off, with a wacked-out lift kit, big tires and black tubular bumpers.
  16. The only thing I find wrong with Subaru is the fact that Toyota has their grimy paws on it.
  17. It's a real shame there wasn't a fire extinguisher around...

  19. Well yes, some of the prices may seem high for the project cars, but remember, you're getting a relatively rust-free vehicle to start your project... a gift from heaven for those of us living in the Northeast.
  20. Hey cletus, that's a damn nice Impala!
  21. Borger, did you click on the "CARS" button? I mean the car is restorable, and the price is within your range... and it's green.
  22. Borger! Horee $h!! There's your '68 Grand Prix! And a '73 Catalina for me! And a '68 Corvair for me! And a '74 LeMans Sport Coupe for me!
  23. In the photos, yes, it does look to be in very clean shape for the mileage, but as with any car, it is surely due to diligent care by the professor. I have seen some Subies come in for bodywork that were not nearly as well cared for, and they were pigsties.
  24. Tell us what you need for yours, Camino.
  25. ...oh so funny
