  1. It's certainly random
  2. Over to the GM Online Order Guide, they're starting to populate 2021 model year vehicles. I like to keep an eye on GM news over there. https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/brandsel.jsp?year=2021&regionID=1&lang=1
  3. 2021 GMC Canyon has new trim levels: Elevation Standard, Elevation, AT4 and Denali. They've done away with the chrome rear bumper as well, which looked out of place with the body-color plastic front bumper cover. More cohesive. You can also get it in that cool new Hunter color (green, seen on the 2021 Yukon) but only on the Denali (bummer).
  4. GM is dropping the ball in so many ways these days.
  5. Amazing that a tiny town like that would be the hub of a worldwide photo sharing entity. Still waters run deep!
  6. I feel privileged when it snows over night and my vehicle is tucked in the garage, so I don't have to clear it off, I can just back out and go.
  7. Dark blue 2021 Seltos EX 2.0 AWD, on the local dealership lot. $26k. This thing is going to be hard to beat in the class. Sunroof, vinyl seats, 17" alloys and a whole bunch of other stuff standard. Front end is wild and it looks a tad preggers, but otherwise it seems like a heck of a nice vehicle for the price. Trailblazer LT AWD with vinyl seat package and sunroof (panoramic in Chevy's case) package will probably be a little more than $2k more. It adds up pretty quick once you leave the $19,990 base model. Chevy does give you a conventional automatic with AWD though.
  8. Went to the PA Farm Show Complex for the PA Auto Show today. Was one of those "Motor Trend" shows, kinda like a dealer's association thing. Was disappointed there was no Trailblazer or Encore GX there. Mostly tried out some miniature conveyances. Ecosport, Trax, Spark, Kicks, Fit, Venue, Elantra GT, Renegade, things like that.
  9. Daggone, that is a sweet dash. Interesting.
  10. It has a special crawl ratio for that. Dammit, just like 80's pop, it has a purpose. I love it, and I'm not scared to say so!
  11. That's it. My next haircut: Eric Carmen in "Make Me Lose Control". The ladies will fall over.

  13. Your comment only reinforces what I'm saying. They are not comparing the 2.0 Kona to the electric version, they are trying to run up the price as high as possible on the gas version to soften the blow for soft-headed readers re: difference in MSRP, by using the turbo, DCT equipped car to try to get it as close as possible to the expensive EV. A boring electric motor linked to a CVT is going to be seamless, duh, but "seamless" can be a synonym for "dull", and "characterless", which is certainly the case when comparing these two. The electric Kona is uglier also because of the veiled face and ghey interior it's got. Kona SE AWD is $22k MSRP. It is the smartest choice in the Kona family. They quit using the turbo/DCT powertrain in the Tucson because of issues. Motor Trend is using their platform to advance their California agenda while pointing out the obvious issues Hyundai has with the 1.6/DCT combination. This article, to me, is more an indictment of the 1.6/DCT than ICE powertrains, all else equal.
  14. WOW, the purity is strong in this one. So goodlooking. So fun to drive. Balanced on a sky-high fulcrum.
  15. So now Daimler is denying battery supply shortages... I'm guessing their roadblock to EV success is lack of buyer interest. Something every single OEM is facing across the globe.
  16. LOL the false tears. Cry! If you really read the article... what Motor Trend REALLY doesn't like about the turbo Kona is the TRANSMISSION, which is a dual clutch. NOBODY likes the type of DCT that is in the Kona. This is a cop-out on MT's part. Buy the 2.0 with conventional automatic and save even MORE over the exorbitant MSRP of the uglier EV version.
  17. LOL thanks Autoblog, aka Captain Obvious... https://www.autoblog.com/2020/01/22/deloitte-survey-consumer-attitudes-vehicle-technology-cost/
  18. All these rich ppl with garages...
  19. Yes I saw your knees accidentally pushing buttons on the dash in the front seat, and I saw your knees pressed deep into the back of the front seat when shoehorned into the back seat. Tanks fer the mammaries!
  20. No boxer engine noise = no Subaru. Plain and simple. Silly statement from Moltar re: "little meaning" between ICE and BEV. There is PLENTY of "meaning" between the two. In the case of Subaru, one is intrinsic to the Subaru zeitgeist, the other is completely devoid of any individuality. BEV are "cars" with all traces of soul cut out.
  21. There's no way to make EVs retain Subaru character. There's no way for any manufacturer to maintain any sort of brand character when the car is powered by electric motors.... so much sameness. It's like modern NASCAR... dull, bland same-old same-old.
