  1. See, something as simple as a new paint color can keep ppl interested in an otherwise aging design. The CVVT 2.2L sounds promising, as well, for zippyness and economy. I am glad continuous improvement is happening at GM.
  2. Well, if Nos can pop his collar in 2008... :AH-HA_wink: The Blue Moon color looks interesting on the little Aveo, but who knows, the illustrations are so damned tiny and not true. I am dreaming of a Cobalt 2LT coupe in Silver Moss with Ebony cloth and the R13 chrome package. And a 5-speed stick.
  3. I understand it will be required to mount a wind-up monkey beating cymbals onto the hood of every hybrid vehicle sold. Not sure if my sources are legit, though.
  4. Interesting on the engine note, Camino. Back in the day, car makers prided themselves on a silent-running engine. Now look at us, moving toward "minimum noise standards" for cars, with the advent of hybrids.

    Should I?

My, you got a purdy mouth. Squeal for me, boy. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Six-Fo Impolla wagon, in the factory copper color, on a trailer, heading to a new home I suppose. No doors, no glass, no interior... no right side rear quarter panel. Seemed pretty complete. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Catholic Schoolgirl uniform
  8. Just stirring the pot, so to speak. And it does need some changes, like a tan/black interior choice, a 12 hour clock display instead of 24, better base wheels, a couple of new exterior color choices, Red- and Greenline models, etc., all of these things would improve the car.
  9. Hmmm... looks like the Aveo is getting further engine refinements for '09, and they're calling it an Ecotec, instead of the old "E-tec", or whatever. Now it's got CVVT, etc., I wonder what the mileage ratings will be, they'll need to wring more mileage out of the car to keep it viable with the new, 36-mpg Cobalt.
  10. The Colorado changes are cool. I wonder if the 5.3L will really be available in '09... they said it was coming for '08, if I remember correctly. Glad to see 16" and 17" RPO rims, and the chrome and body-color trim improves things, too.
  11. Oh man, looks like the Asstra is discontinued after one model year... for shame. Oh well, from the looks of things, the local dealer has enough of them to last at least another year. :AH-HA_wink:
  12. OMG, my faves are the Pontiacs. That 2nd-gen black Firebird with the Formula hood and no spoiler.... perfect. The blue '68(?) notchback Catalina coupe... so suhweet...
  13. I like the curves on the side. An extended cab, suicide-door El Camino might be somewhat cool, no back seat though, just extra storage and seat travel. But I don't like the Camaro front end on this. Camaro should have its own identity. Something like the new Malibu front end could work, if arranged a tad more authoritatively than the Epsilon sedan.

  15. Definitely a hot looking truck. While I do prefer the '99-'02 front end, it's hard to argue when something turns out as good as this Li'l Red Truck (sorry Dodge). z, these pictures should really give you inspiration.
  16. '99 Grand Am SE coupe with V6 in medium blue, no spoiler, sitting at a local "second chance financing" used car lot. It looked in excellent shape from the road. I'm thinking with tinted windows and some nice rims, maybe a debadging and intake and exhaust enhancements, it could be a snarky little cheap daily driver.
  17. In the description of the enhancements, it says something about tires being part of the list of changes. Base LS and 1LT cars have 15" rims. 2LTs have 16" rims, and Sports have 17" rims. My guess is they are using a special 15" low rolling-resistance tire.
  18. Promising news, cappy. I hope it turns out to the good.
  19. 15-15.5. It seems no matter what a person does, a fullsize GM pickup with V8 will turn similar mileage in suburban driving.
  20. Yeah yeah... hey, isn't a "labia" a girl part?
  21. Like a '68 Datsun 510 wagon, in maroon, for sale along the road. Dust on it made it appear to be a fresh barn find. In surprisingly good shape. Cool.
  22. Those seats are wrong.
  23. Very cool, Mr. Golden. I am constantly dreaming of doing something, but I don't know what. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my Sierra that lower fuel prices won't cure. But "new car disease" is incurable.
  24. I've been a GM fan since egg met sperm, but I have a question: why is GM doing this now? These cars should have been set up this way from the get-go. A lot of ppl shop this class looking for MPG, MPG, MPG... it seems a waste of time and sales for GM not to have done this with the Cobalt's debut. I mean, it is great they're doing it now, as a running change, but it just seems odd to me.
  25. Or it could be Vued as a pig. The last VUE looked bigger, it also looked lighter and more quick on its feet, if it is possible to "look" that way. What I did not like about the earlier VUE was its Fisher-Price interior, in which every surface creaked when touched (like the door pulls when closing, I'm not talking about perving on the dash, touching stuff that is better left unmolested). It was one big, rolling plastic creak when driven. The new interior is much nicer, but the size v. mileage ratings is abysmal, imo.
