I used to think that way but I was going from what I remembered of the 60's when music was changing and he was to busy trying to stay "hip". Yes anyone can nearly sing along with Frank but they can not sound like Frank nor have created that style. You have to have a taste and feel for the music but if you wanna hear good Sinatra you have to listen to his early stuff. He was at the forefront of a certain style of expression and feel. Face it an entire generation can not be "wrong". Now I love old Sinatra and listen to it and others from that era when I need to sooth the soul and excape the hyper syndrome..... kinda like driving a Caddy :)

Well being as Ive only driven GM's for a decade and all have the same function I have no problem with them. I do not want more "stalks" on my cars, this one with its few simple functions is great ! Push slide lever forward (or in) for each 2 mph increase, push the little button in the center to back down two. Twist the thing to get various wiper speeds and crank the obvious flapper to get some fluid.....couldnt be any simpler, thank you GM. I do wish they were also wired with 2 way switch for a floor mounted dip switch for High/low beams as well as on the column. I get so tired of haveing to reach and pull and the "only" driveing position available to use at night. The floor mounted dip switches were great, just a little click of the toe which was already right there bored to death anyhow.

:metal: My daughter took me to see the show tonight. Some of it quite moving and some of it just simply awsome. I dont think there is anything else like it. With the current state of affairs in my life I believe it was the perfect gift.

Sinatra is cool......so's Robert Plant I can deal with both.....thats maturity....maybe what Cadillac is looking for. Maybe next year it will be Sammy Hagar Maybe we'll get a look at the ghost of Elvis in a STS-V, singin Hound Dog to the media.

I appreaciate OC showing us some performance figures, it only aids to prove the bias prejudice inflicted on GM. The gas mileage figures are just so wacked its pathatic, what is the National Inquirer sendings its rejects to the car mags ? Someone said something about ecotec loosing torque at 5000 and this is where small cars really need it ? Come on please, where are we at here ? Is this the trip to and from work everyday or Watkins Glen ? I'll try to tell you again its going to be hard to establish credit with some of these unusual statements. I bet I could go test drive 100 well used Jap cars and redline them all and be the first one to do so on at least 98 of them.

No Reg, at 47 Im more like the 38, 280 lb ft and I just keep going and going and going Who would have though it only gets better :P

If you have time sometime do a little research on octane. Octane has nothing to do with horse power. Burning rocket fuel will not give you a rocket. Octane is the ability to resist preignition under compression. In otherword waiting for the spark timing before it ignites. Picture is you can, how fast those pistons are moving at even 3000 RPM, ignition is so critical, if you have a high compression or forced induction engine 87 octane will light off long before it is supposed to, this is why these types of engines require high octane. That is all. You can run all the high octane you want in your typical standard transporting engine and you are simply throwing away 20-30 cent per gallon. High octane gas in not some majic power packing formula.....it actually burns cooler. Toyotas still suck, but Im just telling you this so you dont have that misunderstanding. I somewhat had it for many years but my seat of the pants and wallet kept telling me different. Then finally one day I was set straight by a race builder. There are some variables in today engines due to knock sensors and computer controlled spark advance, however whatever octane the manufacturer calls for is what achieves that givin engines optimum performance. So if they say 87, you can not boost that by spending more at the pump. If you have a SC engine..say... and buy 87 rather than the 92 or 93, under hard acceleration your knock sensors will detect knock(preignition) and retard the ignition timing and that engine will loose some power on account of the less advanced timing. You will also eventually do some engine damage.

I think GM makes mistakes I dont think it makes them any different from the rest I think the media fixates on the mistakes and drives them home to make sure no one buys a GM I think the media makes light of the mistakes made by Toyota and Honda and King "Hemi"

OK, Ive been seeing this thing for well over a month now and I want to know why it still makes me feel like turning into a homicidal maniac ? This is the first thing since the old Tide commercials that has made me want to smash my TV.

 Infinity Sucks ! Boy they were hard on Ford, I dont like that I have always liked the Sebring - anyone with a brain would know this means the Sebring is the used car buy of the year ! Journalists Suck ! but they left GM alone, so Ill let them live another day.
-
Well I cant or wont go back and read 14 pages of posts, but GM made many of my cars of the year, any of the rest would be from Europe and quite expensive

My Father was a Boss He had a 302 But it was in a 68 wagon - Custom 500 It wasnt a Hardtop But it did have a roll down rear tailgate window It was Green I drove it some when I first got my permit How do you like me now ?

OK, so whos got it ? Is it worth it ? Switching to a 3 cyl ? I hear roughness, out of balance and vibration ? I really believe its time to leave this V6 behind and build small alloy HF V8's in the 3-4 litre displacements. There is no time like now to begin the process, hell the R&D is nearly done with the HF V6's and OHC V8's it just needs to be applied to small displacement, small dimension & weight V8's. Everyone is crying for something class leading, who else is more qualified than GM and who else has silky smooth, small displacement v8's other than the exotics ? OK, so shoot me, but tell me what you think first ?

I have always wondered if the torque steer issue came from experience with the cheaper GM's or other brands. The H, C & W bodies I have drivin this really isnt an issue. Our A body wagon is another story, not a problem but much more in your face. The problem with putting this engine over to say the Cobalt would be expensive transmission and driveshaft upgrades. Which brings me to the question - how much is this GXP going to cost ? ? ? ? ? It would be nice if they could get it out at a resonable price but they will not.

I believe the 38 did have its day on that list and the supercharged version to this day lacks little in its segment considering it did not get updated since 1996. :D

"Well actually Autoweek's main viewer base consists of red necks and hill-billies. They rag on the Civic because it doesn't come with a built in shotgun rack in the rear-dash, and the windshield is too swept for their large foreheads." "I'm an auto journalist so I would know." "It's too bad the sport compact tuner scene consists largely of uneducated and hopelessly blind people with too much money and no idea what they should be doing with it." "I'm an auto journalist so I would know." anyone else see a problem here ? a trend perhaps ? :o is this what some of us have been talking about ? B) I think we should all hold everything this guy says to high standards  <_<

 bah ha ha ha ha ha bahhhhh ! Honda sucks, big time, garbage ! Money talks. Civic is just another car for people that hate cars but need to get to work. I'll give it a 10 for nice Buick tailights but it all goes downhill from there. Its a Japanese car that has no place being in the United States along with alot of other trash. This is a campaigne to get Honda sales back up. I noticed the last batch of Honda buyers did not keep them long. They were buzzing around like little flies then it was like someone sprayed some Raid around and they were gone and Camrys were all the buzz. GM can get its bowels in place but the question is will Americans follow suit ?

My 64 Fordson Dagenham Diesel 330 cu in I6. Is a pushrod 2 valve engine and has direct injection. Im trying to vision this and I cant see how theres more room in a DOHC & multi valve engine. In fact I believe the inblock cam could offer less conjestion.

I love it ! No plood in PAU or no plood in PA period ? Nice enough interior but to plane.
