  1. Not a fan of tubbed cars, but I love the wagon idea.
  2. Had one, let it get away...
  3. Oh, BTW, I love the Ute but a '70 LS6 Camino trumps everything on 4 wheels. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. Not moving anywhere right now - more like going in circles. But I'd sure love to bring that blue one home, there was a similar factory blue in '70. Fathom Blue, I believe it was.
  5. Not really, alot of the LS6 cars were bare bones: they were ordered for the strip. In fact, A/C was not even available. I love this one too: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scott-Shafi...d=p4506.c0.m245

  7. A friend's parents bought one for his sister back then, I remember mocking it without mercy. Hopefully, all of them have been scrapped by now.

Try The El Camino store for the speedo (and other stuff) they share lots of parts with the Monte. Also, get creative with your search terms on ebay. My wagon and Camino are even harder to find stuff for than your Monte, but ebay came through eventually on most items. I'd also ask Cort for some good connections if I were you.
  9. Not to mention that they could have sent Pontiac out with a measure of grace and dignity. Show a little class, GM!
  10. They should never have stopped the import program in the first place, they should have kept it going to the end of the brand in 2010. Instead they panicked.
  11. Yeah, like a re-badged Vue? GM still doesn't get it.
  12. It's simple really, GM stubbornly mishandled Pontiac ( and the G8 in particular) so now they pay the price. Eventually, they will admit the mistake but it will be way too late. Let them feel the pain of their own decisions - they've earned it.
  13. This is how it should be, voluntary action rather than government mandated "relief". Nice to see such an example in these crappy times.
  14. The GXPs are gone (at least all of the manuals). The GTs are few and far between. The V6 cars are the most plentiful, but even those are gone around here. What this means for me is that in 2011, when I expected to order an ST, GM won't have anything for me. Holden is blameless here, but GM is not. Delta is right, this is a new low.
  15. Glad you found something you like, Roger.
  16. All the best, C-spec.
  17. Now you have it right. This is one of the special edition cars, the Monaro CV8R: By CaminoLS6
  18. Nah, more like their once every few years' special editions. HSV is a whole different deal.
  19. Didn't seem all that bad to me lately. I guess I missed something.
  20. Not really, Holden has a long tradition of offering special editions of their cars, that's how this insult to Pontiac fans is to be marketed.
  21. Glad to hear this!
  22. Once I can get past needing to concentrate on simple survival, I may be able to contribute more.
  23. Just when I thought no more salt could be stuffed into the wound...
